Another tip for faster rounds is to pay attention to what suites the other players are discarding and picking up. If no one is collecting green you can scoop those up for a quick set instead of waiting ten rounds for one card
Thanks for making this video! When I first started playing hot pot and it said I needed 3 matches to win, I had no idea how to get those 3 matches since I could only have 8 cards! I had no idea that the floating draw card on my side counted as my 9th card. I don't know if that confused anyone else or if I was the only one - but it's nice to be able to win hot pot matches now! :D
As someone who is still afraid to play hotpot because I have really hard time grasping rules to any cards game, this is the best vid that helped me understand it in a way. I think I can give it a shot now. Thank you!
Thank you! Just started playing Palia and running to the hotpot tables every night has quickly become my favorite activity. I didn’t realize sets were valid, I’ve only been going for three of a kind!
I've figured out that the meats, 2, 1, and 3, are Muujin meat, Sernuk meat, and Chappa meat. They align with cooking images in the prep menu (not the prep station, the menu.) I still call them by their numbered names usually, but I think I'm gonna start changing that when I'm in game. Also, the Mushroom set is Morel, Brightshroom, and (I'm almost certain of this one,) Enoki mushroom (So odd it's not in the game... yet.. lol) Thank you for the run through! I wanted to be sure there wasn't anything I missed.~
I saw someone mention the meats were muujin, chappa, and sernuk on reddit but ive never seen anyone else say that but its interesting to know they are shown that way in the cooking images!
Noodles: ramen, udon, and rice noodles/glass noodles for me. Meat is definitely 1,2, & 3. The coconut definitely threw me off, rice cake definitely makes more sense. The quicker the match, the quicker you get more prize coins a server night. I keep an eye on other players PU and try to provide what they need and PU the discards no one needs if I don't have at least 2 sets at two already. I didn't know you could do one of each for a winning hand, though.
Oh yeah 1 of each is how I do most of my hands because its so much easier! You get less points and less gold that way, but I play for the prize wheel coins not the gold :P
Roman, Home/egg noodles, and rice noodles meats are: rolled muujin, sernuk, and then chappa meats mushrooms are: Mountain Morel, Brightshroom, and last has to be the spiced sprouts Theres currently no coconuts, so has to be rice cakes, or buns.
I just got back to palia after a break and took me 2 solid games to get the hang of hotpot. I call the meats "rollies" "big steak" and "mini meats" xD But i see how calling out 1, 2 or 3 meat would be easier, great video
When my hubby and I started playing we the hanging noodle we thought was bacon, so we call it bacon, the dari looked like cauliflower, the rolled meat looks like rolled salami slices, the round purple we call them donuts and the dumplings empanadas. LOL so we have our own little lingo when we play together.
If you are on a 4 squad with voicechat you have at first the option of free win rotation, and if theres nothing, in discard you can gran from someone 2 or more for get the previous previous card. Ans if you have at least 1 parner in game you can do same, if in dircards carts are a 3 set, go for them taking the discarted cards
Omg the timing of this video, i was just asking myself yesterday how to play this game...im always soo confused cause i thought u have to have 3 sets with the same 3 foods if u know what i mean...and once someone won without that and i thought, is there some round limit? Thank you soo much ❤
You're welcome! Yeah it is so confusing at first. when I first started I thought you could have any card of the same color and was confused why I didn't win :P Glad it was helpful :)
OMG I just notice that I can get 1 pair with just the same 3 color card. From the first play I always thought that I have to get 3 identical to win HAHAHAHA
The roll meat is mujin. The raw mujin looks long and thin like it could be rolled. The big meat looks the same as surnik raw meat. That leaves the small meat to be choppa. The red mushroom is Mountian morel. The blue is brightshroom. The white mushrooms is Enoki, which is not actually in game like tofu. But some advance recipes have players make rice cakes and dumplings.
@@isplork5431 so, as far as i know you can have multiple sets of the same colors, (i cant remember if ive successfully tried this or not). however i dont know how many of each card is in the game. I know there are at least 3 of each so your scenario should work! However it would be much more difficult lol
Is this game worth playing? By that, I mean, are the rewards worth the time? I know it’s for fun too, but I’m just wondering strictly about the rewards for playing or winning.
The rewards vary greatly. But you can get plushies, and that seems to be what everyone is after. Mostly you will get starred ingredients, fireworks, sometimes gold… but the plushies are what everyones really after!
I call the wavy noodle McNoodle personally
I am stealing that 🤣
Same
My friends and I call it the macaroni lol

Great advice!
2:50 my friends and I call the big steak surnuk meat, and the small steaks chappa! XD

Yeah, that confused me at first too! The in-game "tutorial" was not very helpful :P
3:15 they are definitely fish cakes or we call them udong we put them in hotpot
good to know! I've heard so many people call them rice cakes lol
As someone who is still afraid to play hotpot because I have really hard time grasping rules to any cards game, this is the best vid that helped me understand it in a way. I think I can give it a shot now. Thank you!
I’m so glad this was able to help you ♥️😄
I always tought the rice cake was an egg^^
Same 😆

I say Morel, Brightshroom, and Enoki because that's what the mushrooms are... but I'm also a mycology freak.
That’s what I say too
Same 😀

This video finally showed me what I was doing wrong 😂😂 thank you
Looks like ramen, udon, pho or rice noodle
Roman, Home/egg noodles, and rice noodles
meats are: rolled muujin, sernuk, and then chappa meats
mushrooms are: Mountain Morel, Brightshroom, and last has to be the spiced sprouts
Theres currently no coconuts, so has to be rice cakes, or buns.
I don't need to win just get games out fast to get all the coins lmao
Fast rounds are fun :D

Mini meats xD love that! Thanks for your support :)

LOL so we have our own little lingo when we play together.
Omg its so neat hearing all the different things people call them.. but donuts is a new one 😅 glad you get to enjoy playing with your hubby!

The rice cakes look like hard boiled eggs and lol I thought they were hard boiled eggs.
I haven't heard that yet, but I could see it! lol
I call the Wavy Pasta....Mpasta :D
that's not a rice cake or coconut xD they are water chestnuts

😂🎉❤So helpful no wonder why i wasnt winning at all 😂😂😂now i know i was just matching with the food not the color
Glad i could help!! Now go win some hotpot rounds 😅🔥
You can also win 2 potatoes, 2 carrots and 2 corn and any other pair of 3 😅
I say steak, steaks, and steak roll-ups😂
OMG I just notice that I can get 1 pair with just the same 3 color card. From the first play I always thought that I have to get 3 identical to win HAHAHAHA
You’re not the first 😭 here’s to much more winning 🎉🎉
Are you SERIOUS?? So many games lost thinking we could only have 3 of a kind wfh
RIP
Hi,may i know where I can use the coin that I got from winning?
There are 2 spinning wheels in that same room underground!
The Dumpling looks like a Pierogi not a dumpling at all. I will never be able to stop calling them yummy Pierogies!
The meats are so controversial! What do you call them?
Meat roll, three meat, and steak 😂
The roll meat is mujin. The raw mujin looks long and thin like it could be rolled.
The big meat looks the same as surnik raw meat.
That leaves the small meat to be choppa.
The red mushroom is Mountian morel.
The blue is brightshroom.

we call the wavy noodles McDonald noodles :D lol. we have so many silly names for the cards
Love it!
I call it an egg 🥚 lol
Can you have 3 sets of the same color? For example, 3 corn, 3 carrots and 3 potatoes

@@queensurgegames i had eight meat and needed the last one (three meat) and someone won so i was THAT close :D

who tf calls the rice cakes coconuts🧐
Ive seen it multiple times and lowkey thought it was a coconut when I first saw it xD like a split open coconut
