Im still super new to unity, blender, and avatar creation and I've been kinda blindly stumbling around the internet but slowly learning the ropes when it comes to custom making an avatar. I just wanted to say that tutorials like these are absolute lifesavers!
My record/preview buttons were greyed out because I thought I could take a shortcut by copy/pasting one of the existing animations - I followed this guide and just made the animation from scratch and it helped me solve it and get my animation done! Big thanks for the good tutorial
what about when you have a blendshape you need to toggle off and switch to another one when 2 other toggles are on? like setting them up with drivers and making it so when clothing 1 is on with clothing 2 it disables the blendshape that is usually on normally and enables a different one?
So how would I do this with multiple blendshapes in one because my avatar has blendshapes for different facial expressions and I want to do a radial puppet to scroll through them
i guess just record all of the ones you want While you are playing the animation ( so the button is red) just drag all the blend shapes like in the vid If its something else you ment i got no clue

Don't show us how to make FX Controller, Perameter and Menu just assume we already have it? Making an Animation from main model and not a duplicate often breaks main model so not explaining that may break it forcing some restart unity project... This tutorial does more bad then good in my opinion , Also you don't even show us it working in VR Chat so no proof if it even works. Decent Video with some relevant animation details but calling it a Tutorial ( for new people learning ) it doesn't give enough basic info or payoff.
I can suure you that none of my tutorials EVER broke the avatar Anad what do you mean i dont show it?? have you watched the video its at the start? So far i didnt have any complaints about my tutorials :)

just change the blendshapes you want different per frame. and if its for something like props or clothing change the interpolation to constant
I feel like I missed something. I followed every step but the blend shapes are now always on
dont have the blend shape on by default..
you only mess with it when you animate
