During the Ice Cavern segment, the twitch chat was set to icons only. People were SPAMMING soda cans, jars, literally anything to try to get him to use an empty bottle on the blue flame! It was hilarious!

I'm actually impressed with the community, you guys don't give him answers straight up or tell him what he should be doing until he is practically in tears out off desperation. Kudos to everyone who watches the streams live and allow him to really experience the game on his own.

During the water temple stream people were spamming flame emojis the majority of the time because he kept bypassing the torch lighting key. We also found out he can’t see the second screen, and therefore the map, on his monitor

I love the fact that he reacted to "Gerudo Valley" after hearing literally the first few cords. The melody is THAT powerful. No wonder it's such a huge classic, and one of Koji Kondo's all time best works.
Also, as a Spaniard, I love the fact that it's basically a Flamenco piece.

I made the same face when I first played it. It is my favorite song from the game.

It's interesting that a Flamenco song is so popular for the soundtrack of the game. It's also interesting how each song in the game is a kind of folk from a different part of the World, makes me feel like if Koji Kondo wrote the music thinking about a different culture and make it seems like Hyrule was the World in that sense.
@@slyctonbits I saw a documentary on it recently. For this game he was stuck on what to do with the music, so he went on a walk and came across a shop with all kinds of songs and sounds he never heard. A lot of the songs in OoT sound quite similar to the tunes he heard there.
I love watching his play throughs because he just gets it. He understands the fan base and what this series means to them. Such a wholesome content creator.

Yeah this dude is wholesome af. first started watching when he played the Halo games for the first time. he actually takes time to appreciate the music, the story, designs & setpieces and doesn't rush through the game just to get it over with like other tubers or streamers.
I love how there is a hill sized Goron just hanging out like it’s just normal for everyone and also that his name is just “Big Goron” he’s not the king or a threat or anything he’s just a blacksmith that is large

The best part is how this sidequest got you to the Ice Cavern, thus advancing the main quest as well.
Killing two birds with one stone
In the N64 version, the Iron Boot room had a diamond like texture on the walls, so when you learn the song and the camera pans around you, it was like crystalized rain drops falling around you. So pretty.
That and the crazy rainbow room under Kakariko (or is it under the Wolfos at the entrance to the Sacred Forest Meadow?) are my 2 favorite rooms in the game! Btw I know your comment was like 3 years ago, I hope you are staying geeky and happy!
Sheik stuns you with a Deku Nut, so when you're stunned he flees.
To your perspective, Sheik suddenly disappears; because when you stun an enemy with a Deku Nut, they freeze momentarily.
Also; with the Iron Boots - be thankful you can equip them to a face button in the 3DS version. On the N64 version, you had to pause, go to equipment, swap boots, then unpause to continue.
If you fail with the medicine; because it expired and the ingredients themselves were used, you start back at King Zora for new ingredients.
Tip for skulltulas on walls; if you're gonna climb past them, if they see you they glow purple before charging. If you stop moving, they won't charge at you. Or use the Hammer near the wall to knock them all off!

It's so funny when the wolf scared him. I remember the first time I saw a wolf in the lost woods at midnight when I was just a kid I felt like him and then turned of the game.

And I think it actually is faster to run through Goron City to get to the top of Death Mountain. It's a lot easier to just jump down to the bottom of the city, take the passage into the crater, and hookshot to the top of the ladder.

@@walls_of_skulls6061 Even thought this one is my favorite in the series i can't argue that, Majora's Mask is the most genius, successfully complex unique masterpiece in the series, i have never played anything so bizarre and beautifully dark as MM and it's soooo much fun! i feel people don't give it enough chance because of it's difficulty

The magic of the Gerudo Valley theme is a strong one.
It's so refreshing seeing you organically discover things for the first time. The way your curiosity about the fetch quest naturally led you to the Ice Cavern is a perfect example of the adventure these games are meant to embody
You are pretty much the PERFECT gamer to get into the Legend of Zelda series... because your natural curiosity has led you to make discoveries that I didn't know, on games I've played for 20 years!
The Zelda series will always reward curiosity.
The sadist in me is loving watching somebody else suffer from the trading quest.
Nah the sadist part is keeping the "hey, you can warp to where you need to be in 10 seconds" a secret.
If you use the warp songs during the timed parts it will automatically timed out
Once you've mastered this game, you can actually get the Sword before finishing the Forest Temple. I'm guessing DB has already finished The Water Temple when this video was uploaded, but The Biggoron Sword cuts through Mirror Link like butter!!!

The realization when he landed back in Zora's domain.
Pro tip: the Megaton Hammer kills Skullwalltullas in a wide area and flips Tektites over, so basically you can screen clear that annoying wall with a single movement
Edit: It also flips the slugs from the fire temple over, rendering them useless. I don't remember if they also clear Big Skulltullas tho.

That's because in those versions it is the Master Sword, they just distorted the model to save time.
I love your comments about the music. One of the things that makes this game so legendary for is the music. A full collection of unforgettable tunes, Koji Kondo really made an outstanding job there. And you’re right, the music triggers a lot of memories and emotions. The first time I played Ocarina of Time was in my N64 back in 1998, I was 15 yrs old

@@justsomerandomguy992 not sure if he’ll like twilight princess so much. I didn’t play it until recently myself. There were some parts of the game that were amazing. But other parts of the game I really didn’t enjoy. Such as the look of the game and some gameplay aspects/dungeons and what not. Although I played it on the original Wii, so maybe that made it less enjoyable lol. Like it has really good story aspects... but I will probably never play it from start to finish again lol, unless they release it for the switch or something

@@lovesgibson Twilight princess is way better without the wii remote + nunchuck controls. It's probably my favorite zelda game or tied with Oot and mm. You should have played Twilight princess on gamecube. Its the superior non HD version in my opinion.

Fun Fact: There’s an extra leftover Piece of Heart in the Gerudo Fortress as a child and cannot be obtained without glitches. It’s suggested to be leftover beta content and it’s still in the 3D version.

@@Allaiya. There’s even a special icon that shows up if you get all heart pieces, including this one. It’s hard though as it’s located above Link’s prison and the Gerudo throw you into the river instead. There’s also a chest with an Odd Mushroom.

Some fun facts about the guy who gave you the Odd Mushroom (Grog)
- He's the brother of the Cucco Lady in Kakariko Village, son of the Head Carpenter you met in Gerudo Valley, and grandson of the Potion Shop Hag
- He didn't die, but morphed into a Stalfos, a monster...hence the Old Hag's cryptic warning of "This poultice will not work on a monster..." (Stalfos = the undead warriors you see at night)
- The Poacher's Saw is named that because he stole it from the Old Hag
Tip: If you have a pluggable controller, that you can connect to your PC, you can then map your emulator's controls on to that external controller. It's much easier to do this than using a keyboard and mouse, also it's best if you use either an Xbox controller or a Nintendo controller, as they are practically identical.
He uses a controller for gameplay and the mouse for the touch screen.

New to the channel, first series of yours I’m watching and am loving your content. Was hesitant at first as i tend to prefer prerecorded to live stream but very little about this has felt like an average stream. Most streamers i see seem to spend more time and energy catering to chat than they do playing the actual game but you give the game itself the attention it deserves. And from what i gather you run emoji only at times which is super cool for someone really wanting to enjoy a first time run. My favorite game franchise and I’m genuinely enjoying watching your journey through it, with many many more episodes to go.

Ocarina of Time is my (like many others) favorite Zelda game. It was the first Zelda game I played with my uncles and it has a super nostalgic and sentimental value to me. I’m so glad that you’ve been playing through it and enjoying it so much Deebeegeek!
I had a hell of a time watching this video, you're a good voice over hahahaha, the fact that you're excited about entering the water temple makes me want to give you a little advice, as soon as you go in just go all the way to the bottom and to the first entrance to your right and pull that big cube, you'll thank me for that later, and that's all the help you'll get, just keep in mind that the temple of water is Japan's way to avenge Nagasaki and Hiroshima and it has been a hard hit, every single time, ever since its creation, hahaha (malefic laughter) ENJOY 😈😈☠☠

Loved the concentration Face while trying to get from point A to point B while doing the big goron Sword side quest! Some one should’ve told u that the hook shoot works in ladders too (like the ones u were climbing to reach big Goron)... oh and as future reference it works on wood too (Yup, treasure chests and torches).

This episode was the first one I got to watch live, cause I'm in Australia so it was 12-3am for me, so usually I'm asleep and miss them, but this one night I decide to stay up since I had nothing on the next day. Glad I did cause it was so enjoyable to watch. I felt your pain with the side quest in running out of time, we've all been there. I go through the lost woods now to get to Goron city, but this is something I figured out after playing the game a few times. Really wished I had been able to watch the water temple (but I was away for uni) cause this is the temple I had problems with and got stuck in when I was a kid, but I'm still looking forward to the next episode to watch how you found it. Very excited for that.
