    Wish this vid would have been available when I did my np205 sye - very good shots of the process! I had to do it from forum info, and luck- because- like you said- THERES ALMOST NO VIDS OUT THERE TO SHOW HOW TO DO IT! The other big thing to mention is the orientation and oil drain back hole location as it goes back together. Great video! Subscribed!
    Add a pin for Westminster, SC on Lake Hartwell!

    Hey it's Rob from Edmonton Alberta Canada. Use wheel bearing grease or lubriplate 105 when assembling needle roller bearings it holds them in place.

      I believe thats what I ended up doing, thanks for the tip!

    Billings, MT. little tip as i just did my own SYE, pick up the gear with the thrust washers on both sides and then slide it over the new shaft instead of restacking all the bearings. I did exactly what you did but stopped and slid it all together and pulled it apart as an assembly with the thrust washers on each side and didnt have to restack that whole setup.

    San Leon Texas here, via Lake Powell Az.
    Not sure if it’s related to the slip yolk eliminator but I found out when I broke my NP 205 that 85/86 used a 205 that has a longer output shaft for the front.
    I have an 85 with 454/TH400/14 bolt/Dana 60. Used to be a county fire truck for Kern County California.
    Keep the awesome videos coming bro.

    What's up man as always love your videos just wanted to let you? Know one of the issues I ran into with my Dana 60. Was that the crossover steering hits on the passenger side? U bolt that might be something that you have to trim when you go full lock to lock on your steering just something to look out for I can attach. A photo and email it to you of what I had to do with mine as always loves the videos and the content. Keep it up my friend looking forward to seeing you turn the key and back that thing out of the garage.

    • @PootsGarage
      @PootsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve tested the clearance on that one problem U-bolt, so far so good!

    That was a new on for me get a bunch or rollers grease them up and stick them in. I wonder what the engineer was thinking when he thought that up.
    Your getting there and it's looking better each episode. Keep the madness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

    Springboro, Ohio. Would you be willing to share the specs of the wheels. What offset did u end up going with? Did you get the forged ones or the flow formed? Sorry to ask so many questions. Im at that point of my build and am completely lost. I'd be real interested in purchasing a set just like yours. They look amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey in your build process.

    • @PootsGarage
      @PootsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used 17x9 4.5” backspacing, flow formed. Check out a couple later videos to see the fitment
