Most med students have to be top of their classes, so very driven in every area of their education. And also med schools are now looking for well rounded students

Truly a work of art TRULY
It is a coincidence that 42 years ago I completed a visiting studentship in the laboratory of Dr. Abraham Rudolph at the Cardiovascular Research Institute, University of California Medical School, San Francisco. It was the summer externship in experimental fetal and neonatal heart surgery, which was one source of inspiration for me to become a researcher.

Glad to know the dancing and word play will come in handy when they in the field trying to save someone's life.
Many of these students were driven by their parents to excel in every area of their life. Plus colleges require extracurriculars - hence the gymnastics and dance team.
But yeah, the TikTok nurses dancing during lockdown did make this phenomenon of medical staff dancing more than a little cringy. That being said, as a resident of San Francisco I’ll take an influx of dancing med students over a bunch of tech douches any day of the week

Every med school now has a dance-off portion off their picks. And dance is part of the curriculum of med school. When I’m looking for a doctor I always check their credentials to see if they made dance crew
I have no fucking idea why this was recommended to me, but you guys be the best you can be. Maybe save my unhealthy ass from dying if I come back to CA. As I'm croaking, at the end of my time, I'll say "I liked a music video for your school, even though it was slightly cringe". That will be the signal to pull out your Dr. House equivilent to tell me I have a super tumor and I can only get rid of it with experimental narcotics.
