    The hustler is a hyperdrive 66” cut with a briggs & Stratton 37 hp motor.
    I plan to get many other products here for testing. Stayed tuned for more on mowers,Sawmill stuff, SxS, trucks and everyday life.

    I run Mean Green mowers also. The reason you did not get a good cut quality if you were cutting the grass too long. The low lift blades don't create enough lift to stand up the grass. I found that to get a good cut quality, you need to cut at a height of 3.5 or lower. We typically cut at 3.25.

      I think the mean green mowers have a place. But when you can buy a machine for less than half the price. Perform better in every category but sound. It’s not going to be for the mass market. Most mowers can cut grass well short but for stripping yards you need great lift to create vacuum. These mean green mowers can’t produce that because of the very narrow blades. I think the only place they make since would be sound decibel requirement places.
      Don’t get me wrong they are really cool. Just too expensive for what they offer unless you need to not produce sound.

      @American Dream yeah new MG mowers or any commercial quality electric mower are insanely expensive to buy new. However, you can buy 2020/2021 demo units for less than a gas mower (with the tax credit). I bought 4 electric zero turns this year with less than 100 hours on each for less than half the price of a new one. They definitely are not for everyone, though. The biggest benefit I see with them atleast for my business is that they separate us from everyone else. They are free advertisement, people stop and watch us mow. We switched to electric in 2020 and have doubled in size every year since. I'm actually in negotiations right now on a 2021 Evo. When you were demoing it did you notice any windrowing of the grass clippings? Rear discharge decks tend to do that from my experience.

      @@stealthmowed5042 you are spot on. The mean green draws attention I had many people stop after seeing them at my place. I will have to look into that buying one on the cheap. Thanks for the heads up.
      We mowed several different spots to test it out. But nothing consecutively. As in back and forth in the same area. I tested it mostly to see it’s abilities and function. I couldn’t really find anything on the internet like I’m doing.
      I haven’t tested the stander but they have offered to bring it out. I think if they will get a deeper deck and wider blades. They will have something.
      Have you ever run a hustler hyperdrive?

    "It's not how fast you can mow, but how well you can mow fast!"
    Thank you so much for your review! I've been wanting Mean Green mowers for years now.
    I'm very sad! I wanted to buy some Mean Green mowers (or the new Toro electrics) starting this year, but it looks like the mowing of the Mean Green's is not up to par with a typical commercial mowers cut quality. It looks like in 2023 you can get a $7500 tax credit for them.
    A lot of customers know when their lawns are not cut clean & we want to provide quality work. We mow over 300 lawns a week. I don't need the trouble. So sad! It looks like Mean Green is not an option at this point. Also, why don't they have their "best" mower (the Evo) come also with a 60" deck? So puzzling!
    All our mowers are John Deere Z950R's with Tweels. We mow at 12mph with a high quality cut & beautiful stripes. I also have a Tesla (Model Y Performance)! Lol. Maybe by the time my Tesla Cybertruck trucks are delivered then John Deere will have electric commercial mowers. Lol. Thanks again!

      The mean green mowers are a interesting mower. But they have so many points that need to be improved compared to other commercial mowers. Like price, deck depth for vacuum,deck options and other minor things. I’m like you it sounded good on paper and I was beyond excited to try them. But when I can take a mower for less than half and mowfaster it’s going to be a hard sell. I think they have a place. Just not the poor or masses lol 😂
      Dude you get that cyber truck in I and post up some good footage. I’m all about the speed and fun of electric vehicles nothing compares for the price.
      Thanks for the great reply.

    Also considering a Tesla model 3 costs 40k brand new, mean green doesnt seem like they have the cost vs product balance yet.

    I had talked with Zack at MG and he had told me that they run a low lift blade. idk if he said they offer other blades but I know in my area deep south we need high lift. I held off on my purchase but might make a move this spring now that they have a 36". We need 3 sizes of mowers in my area; 36", 48" and 60" and up. I am very ready to be done with gas powered equipment.

    • @americandream_89
      @americandream_89  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the mean green couldn’t lift the grass. I think it’s partially the deck also. It’s not as deep as most high end mowers.
      What’s the benefit to your company besides sound?

    Dude, you showed the blades! Multiple times. Even held them, spun them, etc. You didn't actually pay attention to them? Look at the little curve at the top of the blades. Barely any lift. I'm sure to save battery but there's almost no lift to them. When I got my mower, the blades it had installed previously were like those, not as bad but, close and I had to mow really slow. Sucked. Got "High Lift" blades, now I can mow close to top speed (12mph).

    • @americandream_89
      @americandream_89  ปีที่แล้ว

      This isn’t a high lift blade, I fully know the difference. A high lift as you said would suck the life from the battery. To buy a 50000 mower that will only cut half a day would still be pointless. So what do you gain? I can run any blades on my hustler and still cut better. Along with I can run 16-18mph
