Bro.. as someone who’s ridden this for a few miles… can you tell me if it is a good bike at 2.8 lakhs on road? I’ve seen all the reviews, ownership experiences and opinions. The vibration people mention, is it real? Or is it just part of the nature of a combustion engine? There are more refined engines no doubt but is there something specifically not upto the mark with the D400? I’m looking to purchase my first bike, been driving only scooties for a long time. Fine with weight but will the engine last 5,8 years down the line if I maintain it well with proper servicing, chain cleaning, lubing and overall I’m a very sedated rider. I don’t intend on abusing the bike at all.
Hello, very happy to see your comment. I understand your love for bikes and I must say that it's all needed for the bike too , your words and urge to maintain the bike itself is needed for any bike. Then talking about Dominar 400. I must say that among all the bike I have ridden, it's was a very special bike to me. It felt and sounded very good. Once you are on the bike, it just speaks... premium. More than just looks, the seating position too felt soo good for long rides. It also felt like on of the good sounding motorcycles in single cylinders. I really loved the power band...it have just more than enough for the roads we have here in India. Very composed and agile bike. And you the truth, yes it has vibrations and it is mostly form the engine. I might say that it is the okay okay one...once you start riding it, you will not notice is anymore. But there are other vibrations also. Like from the fairings. Front accessory mount and things like that...so what I would suggest is that just tight it often, just do a general service often..just take a extra care as it is a Bajaj and I can assure you it is a very value for money and you can take the bike and ride for a life time.
Riding above 80 till 100 should return about 21-28kmpl. Avg about 20 i would say ...but if you ride it in highway at 60-70 you should get an avg of 25-30
Bro need reply on Current mileage vibration and refinement levels refinement level when compared to Honda cb350 Weight with all accessories bike quality feel while riding
Hello bro, thanks for taking your time to ask your doubts, i would say CB 350 is relatively a small bike comparing it with the dominar 400. The dominar 400 with out even the kit or any accessories feels a bit heavy, and it is felt when all we take it form a parking lot or doing a turn etc. Where as CB 350 can be maneuvered easily with no issues. For refinement i would say dominar is not that refined as it had lot of vibrations on the handle bar, seat and everywhere to be honest but its surprising to say that the vibrations settles one you pass 3k rpm or after 70kmph and only comes back after 140kmph. About the mileage, for CB in highway you can easily average out about 42+ but in city its about 38+ with mild throttle inputs. In case of dominar, in highway you can get around 30+ and in city 22-25+ with mild throttle inputs. Both the bike feel very good in quality and i might say both are not a bike to be compared as both has different character. Hope you found something usefull or if you have any more queries please let me know! cheers mate.
is vibration in dominor iritatable? The new dominor is giving an average mileage of 31 as per reviews 28 on cities and 32-35 on highways is that somewhat accurate? thanks anyways
Hello bro, frankly the vibration didn't irritate much, because i rode the bike with that mentality at the end of the day , its a powerful bike with power in every rev range. And the main thing is that i noticed this vibration because I rode this after a hornet, but on of my friend who rode a rtr 200 didn't fell much vibration. I think if we start using the bike for a long time we will get used to it, but those were my initial thoughts and yes it had some vibration while going from 20 to 45 and back and forth...in city traffic, but i think it wont irritate much. And about mileage, it can depend on the rider and that's why i meant mild throttle inputs, and what bro said can be mostly accurate. those where the mileage figures which i really got with mild throttle and less braking.
Dont get me wrong Only 5ft is much less than required height cause iam 5.6 and sometimes difficult to turn form down surface to right turn if my foot sleep or bike give sudden jerk you will fall
Hello bro, it depends on the bike bro actually, if it a motorcycle with a more low frequency sound it's better to keep away form the exhaust as it would peak out, but I it is a high frequency sound it good to keep a bit close to the exhaust. The engine also a lot to the contribution to a motorcycles sound so we have to capture that also.

The bike is half clutched or what bro ? The movement on clutch i see is very less ?
Hello bro, it is not a half clutched or anything, its a normal dominar 400, i think the angle of the pov is making it look like a less moment.
