Actually, the colors going weird works PERFECTLY with the the theme of this video, it perfectly highlights the dark turn of the story. The timing of the distortion of the color is amazing.

I think Allison truly believes she's innocent. She didn't make up a story to cover her tracks, she genuinely believes her story to be true. At the end she seems genuinely distressed and upset about the situation. Allison is so adamant that she's innocent, because that is what she genuinely believes.
That genuinely makes sense- she really does seem distressed, and her mind could've made up a story to cover the fact that she had killed her mother
I kind of believe Allison about the chow chow, but I’m not 100% sure, Maddie should definitely make a part 2 of this short film! 😘

well.. he's an investigator. he needs to run tests, question the family,friends, potential suspects, investigate the crime scene, it's honestly a hard job. it could take months even years to solve the case. BUT Allison could have a brain/mental disorder. becus he said she was abused by her mom. so, that could cause problems in her mind. she could've seen thats how it happened but in reality she did it. idk, i just love this kind of stuff. sorry if i ranted-
He just kind of assumed the whole “real” story. Yes there may have been fur and DNA on the pillow but as she said she does live there so it’s kind of obvious there would be. Making up a character in your mind to cover up something you’ve done seems likely but i don’t really see why she would just make up that whole story. She may have something wrong with her though so it is possible she made the whole thing up. I definitely would like to see a part two, I’m interested to see what will happen.

Alright, this is what I think. While Allison slept, the chow chow probably went into her house because the house was not locked and it seemed like Allison and the Mother forgot to lock the door. Anyways, while Allison was asleep the chow chow might of have gotten her fur (like cut it) and then he suffocated the mother. Without leaving any trace of what he has done he used gloves and put Allison’s fur on the pillow to frame her.
I’m not %100 sure though..

What if Oliver truly did exist, he never left and physically FORCED her to do it?
Despite the evidence towards the chow chow, from what Allison was portraying she seems like she was the killer. Of course killers always do the sympathy card like "my car broke down" or "I need help" because females tend to be more sympathetic and would unknowingly fall into a trap, however Allison sounded slightly panicked when the officer told her her DNA was found. Young killers, or first time killers in general, call officers a minute or two at the most after the murder so they sound more authentic. The chow chow, if he did exist, didn't do the crime. Allison came from an abusive household, one of the main elements to a killer.

And no one is considering that Alison might have split personality disorder and hallucinations?
If she doesn't even remember killing her mother, the possibility that it may have been an alternate persona of hers (especially since it was mentioned that her mother had a history of violence against her, which could've possibly caused enough trauma for a split) is not unlikely.
She should probably go through some psychiatric treatment and it should be tested if she could actually be diagnosed with something. A body is not a person and only DNA (especially in cases like these) can't possibly be enough evidence. And I know that death penalty is legal and active in the US so she may be unjustifiably killed when they can't be sure she's even healthy. It's all a bit complicated but all I'm saying is that death penalty is horrid and should not exist. Every human has the basic right to live no matter how disgusting they are, even if they caused other people's death.
They violated other people's rights but that does not mean that the government can or should do the same to them. It literally and figuratively brings them down to the same level as the people they put this penalty on. Murderers.
Even if you take the life of a non-innocent individual, it's still murder.

hmm, that was a really bold assumption to make without even trying to find this "oliver" character! if the pillow was the murder weapon it makes sense oliver's DNA wouldn't be on the body; if he's some creep looking to kill, he may have gloves if the pillow was ever scanned; and a strained relationship in the middle of nowhere (nearest supermarket is over an hour away!) would make a pretty good case for a cover-up... maybe some character he held a childhood grudge against (so he would know about the mother/daughter relationship)? who knows, especially since she didn't admit to anything, even after the officer left...
really cool idea, though! i love watching this all-original stuff from you :3 the dual-perspective trope is one of my faves!!

im only abt halfway in the vid but im 50/50 on allison's story. sure, she could have let some guy in and he killed her mother, but he could also be made up.
edit: (spoilers) tbh i feel kinda bad for allison. her mother being "worked up" doesnt give her an excuse to hit her own child. her mother reminds me of my father a little. they both use some half-assed excuse for when they do something hurtful. and im pretty sure i said something similar to "i could have shit out a better excuse than what you just said" to him before. so ig i kinda relate to allison but not to the murder extent

It’s like watching an episode of Gotham (you all know which episode I’m on about 😂😏) I loved this short film so much not because it reminds me of an episode of Gotham of course, I knew it was either Alison or someone killing someone I first thought that maybe Oliver was the one who got murdered then I thought he killed the mother, or maybe Alison and Oliver both killed the mother, point is I knew Alison has something to do with the murder of her mother, having some sort of involvement in it, but I loved how you delivered everything from Alison making up Oliver to cover her tracks to the officer telling the audience what really happened.

So Like, I personally think that Alison is innocent and this dude, Oliver, set her up. He most likely found some of her hair on the ground and put it near the crime scene. Maybe he just doesn't shed, and wore gloves to not get caught. I think she's innocent and the Police are too lazy to go out and catch Oliver. Like if you agree with me!
