I was the perfect age to watch these guys. Derek Jeter played his rookie season when I was in 6th grade, so I feel like I grew up alongside their careers. What a joy it was to grow up just a short trip from Yankee Stadium and watch these legends throughout my middle school, high school, and college years. I feel so immensely privileged to have had this team be such a massive part of my formative years.
Seeing these guys in their 20s and 30s, and now seeing them return as grown men, they all look like fathers now to us youth who watched them. It’s a bit sad, a bit cool, and a hell of a grateful feeling to know we saw their careers and the joy they provided us. Loved this Yankee team.
He left because he felt disrespected by the ownership and management by only going to give him a salary increase if he can get the team into the ALCS and he’ll get paid even more if he can get them a World Series Championship win again. Just not a nice thing to do
Bernie Williams was a huge part of this. Bigger than Tino Martinez yet his career is always marginalized with regards to the team chemistry and contributions.
He never self promoted like these guys did every chance they had. Jeter was the worst. Bernie had other interests, like playing jazz. I'm glad at least one guy went on to other things and not just sit around picking their azz like these dummies are
96 season still to the this day is my fav!! 98 team was the best, 1999 was great too, but 96 was almost supernatural, a team of under dogs coming together and Jeter coming in as a rookie, playing like a 10 year vet in pressure situations. It was incredible
Great times, these guys were amazing. I watched or listened to every game from 93 to 2013. These days if I watch 5 games it's a lot. Baseball is not the same to me.
i live in the philly area but i grew up on the jersey shore (NYY territory) from the early 80s through the late 2000s. I've heard a few snide remarks my way from Phillies fans about being a bandwagon fan. A bandwagon fan. As if a Phillies fan knows what that is. I watched the yankees religiously , every game, beginning the season Rickey Henderson was traded there (1985) until about 2007 (after which I moved to south jersey). From 1985-1994, those first 10 years I watched nary a single playoff game. I can remember one hot august summer night after another in 1985, 86, 87,88, 89, 90, 91, 92 watching every inning of every game, hoping the yankees can pull within 3 games of THIRD place in their division. A bandwagon fan. Yeah, right. No team in any sport took longer to participate in a single playoff game for me than the Yankees. And when the 90s rolled around? Its easy when you're a fan of a loser like the Phillies to talk crap. Those championship seasons --they kept me UP AT NIGHT. Cheering, hopeful, scared, worried, because they finally became something and after having put IN all those years of nothingness, I wanted that time to pay off. I wanted to experience rooting for a championship team. I could remember October games where the SPACE between EVERY PITCH was AGONIZING. Yeah, a bandwagon fan. Some people don't know what being a fan is.
I get tired of them leaving Bernie outta the loop. Without Bernie, there ARE no talks of dynasty. Finding out that some of these guys were supporters of Donald Drumpf's seditious division sucks, but, they're grown man, & I've been a fan since 1964, as an 8 year-old. Go Yanks!!!
For a guy who had world class talent, world class coaches, managers, owners, teammates around him all his MLB career, it baffles me why and how Derek is such a crappy baseball owner. LOL!
Because being a player of passion and an owner of business is two completely different worlds. You know how hard it is to be a baseball owner or a business owner period. It's not like being a player where you just focus on yourself. A business owner you have to focus and control so many different things and keep everything all on the same page, which is incredibly hard and different.

wow those were the days man , the best Yankee team that i witnessed , they were so dominant

Loved this Yankee team.
Where Bernie at though?!...
He was smart enough to go on with his life (jazz musician) and not sit around yucking it up like these old farts.
Bernie being excluded always. Othered me, it doesn’t bother Bernie though.
1 word- MORE. Okay 2 words- MORE, Please.
Need the full interview
for real what the fuck is this teaser bullshit
I was blessed to have watched these guys play together and win World Series!
Man. I miss Torre managing the Yankees
They need him back for next season.
I think because he was such a low key introvert.
He never self promoted like these guys did every chance they had. Jeter was the worst.
Bernie had other interests, like playing jazz.
I'm glad at least one guy went on to other things and not just sit around picking their azz like these dummies are
Tino really became a helluva replacement for Mattingly once he retired after the 94-95 season
Where can i watch the full video?
0:44 "They never got tired of winning." - JOE
Omg sooo many memories watching this... 95 -2001 best team to watch...ever! Never a dull moment. Best fans yet!!
Derek was involved in every rally it seemed like in '96.... either starting one or getting a big hit to knock in runs

you don't realize how big they are in their uniforms, but here, you can clearly see their frame size.
Full interview please!
Not a Yankees fan but just love hearing stories from players and coaches
Jorge has such a COOL laugh
Great times, these guys were amazing. I watched or listened to every game from 93 to 2013. These days if I watch 5 games it's a lot. Baseball is not the same to me.
Is there a full episode of this?
I still don’t get why Bernie isn’t part of this. Fab 5
Right? From 96 to 2003 he was one of the better players in the league
Bernie was a great hitter but I hated his fielding
@@aspacebeing710 he was a Gold glove center fielder.
@@jusliving7977 Not really he had a noodle for an arm
@@aspacebeing710 He had a bad arm, but he made some damn good plays
No Bernie? Mo? Paulie?
Where's Mariano?
Being in middle/high school during those times and going to their home games was something I wish I appreciated more….wow
Where can you get a link to the entire interview, and not just the 4 minute piece?
Paul O‘’Neill??? Where is he
Being awesome somehwere else.
Needs Bernie
My childhood in one video. 🥺🥰 I miss them sooo much ☹️
Smiling for no reason watching this!
Marino Rivera should be there
All this needs is Mo and Bernie!
Andy leaving not the steroids cost him Cooperstown (I’m a Met fan).
You just knew these guys were going to win. 😊
Except in 04
I miss these guys!
Man, this brought up so many memories from my childhood! Awesome!!!!!!
Those three thumbs down must be a red sox fan, pedro and the writer that didnt make Jeter unanimous in the hall of fame!
very true
O.. M.. G..
Despite all their success, the key moves were Trading Roberto Kelly for Paul ONeill and putting Bernie Williams in CF!!
So where can we see the whole interview?
Please come back, all of you! You would do better than the current players. And specially the manager.
Tino GM jorge manager Andy pitching coach
The disrespect to Bernie

Good video
When’s the full video being released?
All of them should be hall of famers 😕
Whos here after Gerrit Cole blew the wildcard game?
Aaron Boone is the type of manager that panics in critical situations
this isn't about boone , stay focused
Awesome, but let's see the entire thing.
Where’s Mo at?? Tino what did you do to the Sandman?? Haha I’m kidding…kinda. I always liked Tino and definitely O’Neil.
I must have more
I want Jorge and Tino coaching somewhere
A JOY TO WATCH............ALL BELONG IN HALL ....
By far,,,four class acts,,right there!!!!
Absolute total & complete class...something that we are missing these days. Joe Torre rocks,
NOTHING out of New York can even remotely be called "class"
I don't like the Yankees but like other great teams, Real Madrid for example, you pay attention to what they are doing
That should have been Bernie Williams there instead of Tino who was a free agent sign Williams was there with Donnie Baseball
They all made me 😎 to b Yankees fan 5 🏆 💪🏽

Jorge’s one hit off Pedro made up for it all
This is meaningless unless you live in NY. Just MLB players, so what?
Nothing worse than old guys sitting around waxing romantic about old times
This was my team! So many good memories when I was in high school growing up just watching them and baseball in general.
I think jorge posada always had a gay crush on Derek Jeter.
Joe Torre loos like he can still be a manager
man!! this was dope
Those were years
*My Team…NEW YORK YANKEES!!!!* 💙
Derek Jeter i have your rookie card and live in miami can u sign for me
They left out Mariano Rivera
I know right, they might have lost a few WS without a Closing Door so yeah great point
They should of brought Curtis Granderson and Alfonso Soriano bc they were great hitting talent during this time with the Yankees. I loved Soriano
Neither of those two were part of that dynasty. Nor do either of them have a ring
I wonder if andy pettitte still does steroids HGH.
Dumb !!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I LOVE ALL THESE GUYS...ESPECIALLY JOE!!!
Damn they're looking old
Nah !!!! They are in great shape compared to most former players
Love my yankees
