    I love how from this moment 6:39 on, the bass has unexpected F# major chords, building hope, while the right hand still has the F# minor melody. This goes on till the right hand also modulates to F# major at 6:50. Chopin was a genius indeed

      its similar to his nocturne op 9 no 2.
      in that song, the melody is in major key, contrasted by tritones and minor chords in the left hand, which is why it sounds somewhat sad, despite being in major key.

      All what Chopin was doing from 6:00 onwards till 6:33 is to make you feel the resolution so he hits that F# at the bass to resolve it all. F# minor.

      Whoever says it knows nothing about piano itself: this nocturne, as most of the ones Chopin composed, is full of polyrrythm, demands a good techhnic since the left hand is going to play through two octaves each time and the right hand is going to open wide at the end of the second section. There are, therefore, two types of difficulty when it comes to Chopin's nocturnes: hard or very hard. This one takes some years to be understood logically

      I'm writing a chopin style nocturne for my a level music composition. Months later, there's two things I've learnt. Firstly, chopin is an incredibly hard composer to imitate, and composing his nocturnes are far harder than it looks. And secondly, it takes far far longer to compose a nocturne than you would think. Chopin said that simplicity was the final achievment, and that's the idea of the nocturne. To create madness, and simplify it so that the purest parts are left. That's why it takes so long, and appears so simple. Its founded on a very complex base.

    • @Chazza_1201
      @Chazza_1201 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lol simple.. nothing about Chopins nocturnes are simple. Just because they’re slow, he does very abstract chords. Beautiful music nevertheless and I love lee ring Chopin pieces

      @@Chazza_1201 its quite flattering for you to ask, and I would happily send it to you, but the only problem is that it won't be finished until about may/August 2022, which is when the deadline is for it. But if you reminded me then, I'd be happy to send you the final result. Its not going bad, I've had quite a few ideas; its quite an intense c# minor one.

    Chopin is such a genius too bad he dies very early in life he could have done a lot more than this .there was an illustration of the mood when he composed his music , when he is sad , frustrated , angry ,excited and very happy and the notes will tell

      if chopin lived longer he would have to be cured of his cystic fibrosis (or TB, whatever disease he had) which would make him a lot happier, which would undoubtebly affect his music.
      his music would be less emotional and more major key pieces.

    This nocturne really shows chopin's subtle genius. Not because its unbelievably good or anything, but just because its slightly more experimental than many of the others. Only these tiny differences can make a piece go from average (such as this), to something magical, such as maybe the nocturne no.1 in c minor.
