It makes me happy to know you and your brother are so close and that you can be there for each other and your families. I’ve been close with my brother too over the years, so I understand what a gift that is. Thank you for sharing 💕🌸
This might be a silly video request but I would love to see your favorite cleaning tools. Your steam mop, vacuum, handheld vacuum, cleaning products, etc.. and another video of your daily upkeep/cleaning routine
Please post often! Your channel is helping me find peace and watching one of your videos has become my morning ritual. I've been your subscriber although thru different accounts from the time u started your channel. Love you Rachel!
🌻 Thank you I agree with you about it never being perfect, just doing the best we can. May I add, also, without feeling guilty to live up to standards of what we see on social media. Btw I have the same concept for my tea cabinet. I wanted to look for a really nice tea organizer and I was about to donate a wooden organizer for utencils and my husband said, "Hey! You can use that just turn it to the side!" So I did and I love it! 🥰 Not sure if that's how you have it, it looks like, but if you do how awesome! 🤗
Hi Rachel... Please don't burn yourself out with three videos a week.. Even One video a week consistently would be great.. Love how calming your content is ❤❤
Thank you! I think with my current schedule I can film on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then edit on Wednesday & Mondays. That should keep me pretty busy, but if life happens, it happens. I won't stress too much! Thanks for understanding. xo
I love your channel and have been filling for a couple years now. Thank you for sharing your moments with us. When I listen to your channel I feel like I have friend next to me.
Rachel, if I may suggest - the best no nasties cleaner for the oven door is the same ash you take from your fireplace and an aluminium foil. Mix ash with a little water for easier application, smear it all over the glass and leave it for a few minutes, then just scrub it with a scrunched foil, works every time.👍
You accomplished so much house cleaning and now I need to get motivated and do my own. I find ironing to be very relaxing and I usually find myself just thinking about things going on or I play music and sing to myself. I love when you show us the animal population and I'd love to see your neighbor's horses. Hope your brother and the kids are doing well.
@@racheltalbott thank you for making this video's ! im here for years, and I love your pampering video's ..they helped me go through the covid within lockdowns..I appreciate your work, and I think youre so gorgeous 🥰I cant wait to see another natural makeup routines 💙💙God bless you
You made me laugh with the flies story: I live in the north-east of Italy, near a very small green area and it's exactly the same! At the end of every spring and summer I have to pick up the fallen XD I have stopped ironing almost 10 years ago: I have two very ill parents and the house to take care of, while finishing my studies and dealing with a genetic disease in my muscles...ironing was too much. I found that if you fold and smooth the creases and wrinkles when the clothes are warm, either from the dryer or from hanging outside, you have almost zero problems; of course, there are some fabrics or garments you must do something about and I usually go for a small steamer we have, it's cheap, shaped like an iron but works wonders :)
Hello from Denver! I love seeing how others keep their home, and watch these kinds of videos while I clean too. It is not my strong suit, but now that my kiddos are older and in school, it's definitely a bit easier. :) Thanks for the inspiration! ❤
I feel that too! My routine last year was focused mostly around our schedule with the kids schooling at home. I didn't have as much time as I do now during the school hours. It's a nice chunk of time to focus and get things done.
@@racheltalbott couldn't agree more with Mindy's comment.. I find cleaning the house very monotonous and boring sometimes and once you let it slip it just adds up and then to do a reset is so hard.. But seeing your videos and watch others work hard really motivates me to keep up with my house and work hard.. Even after all this it's never perfect but I've learnt to live with that
♡ just when you crossed my mind ♡ Watching this video, I wonder if you are happy? (Sorry if this is an inappropriate thing to say) Because for some people like me, keeping a home is a challenge. I even refrain on buying a big lot even if given the chance because I think, the maintenance would make me hate my life. Maybe with the right tools it wouldn't be so bad. They are just expensive ;p
I enjoy outdoor chores more than indoor chores for sure. I really like to be outside when the weather is nice. I'm happy to care for my home though. Sure, there are times when it seems daunting, but I get that feeling about many things in life that are demanding/repetitive. I always dreamed of having a home to care for, and call my own. I grew up in a very small home, so I know I can be happy in many scenarios. I try my best to take a balanced approach, and make time for other things I enjoy: time with family, traveling, music, creativity, self-care, and some free time. It is a lot of upkeep, and I wouldn't mind downsizing the size of our home in the future if that's what we decide, but I think I'd always love land, and a big garden. Unless I was physically unable to keep up with it, outdoor space is such a blessing, and I personally enjoy it so much.
I needed this inspiration 😉 I have slowly been checking things off my spring cleaning list and your channel is my go-to for some needed motivation 💕 Can't wait to see your next garden video 🌻
Great calming video Rachel! Such a treat ❤️ I was wondering how you can go on holiday with the entire family, do you have someone who knows how to take care of all the animals and the garden? Hire professionals? Thank u!
Hi there. Yes, there is a gentleman that tends to our neighbors barn and farm, and we hire him to tend to the animals only while we are gone on vacation. =)
Another great video!! I found your channel again after some time. Just curious why you don’t have all your old TH-cam videos from back in the day on so we can watch them again.
What brand is your sofa? It is so difficult to find one with seat covers that can be washed and look decent. And what is the brand of the black kitchen glove you used? Hardware store find? I hate how fast the regular kitchen gloves break.
Thank you! The sofa was a custom build, and the store closed down during covid =( It was a tricky one to find, because I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, but I wanted something like this. The gloves are an amazon find. Here's a link: amzn.to/3K1hAh2
Hey there.=) Thanks for stopping by and watching my channel. This was actually a custom made couch. I picked the fabric and the configuration, and it was a great deal too. We got it at a local store in Santa Clarita, CA. I do believe they went out of business during covid though =(
Are you looking for scented candles? That might be hard to find. Otherwise, what comes to mind are just plain beeswax candles. If you get ones of high quality, they even smell a little like honey. Soy or rapeseed candles might work too but I'm not 100% sure if they are fine when you have pets.
It’s so refreshing to watch normal real life videos and not showing 400 lipsticks from PR. Your natural beauty far surpasses all these young women wearing so much makeup they look like Rockettes
Years ago I discovered if I didn’t overdry the clothes slightly still damp They wouldn’t wrinkle I hang up therefore eliminating the need to iron which I hate lol
Rachel I LOVE your videos I've been watching you for years and they bring me so much peace, motivation and calm. Baking Soda is a chemical. Please stop saying "I'm trying to stay away from chemicals." Water is made of chemical elements. Chemicals=/=BAD or UNHEALTHY. PLEASE change your buzz words to "unhealthy ingredients" because it can be very misleading.
Thank you. Ahhh yes, very true. In this video I was referring to harsh chemicals, but I could have been more clear in my verbiage for sure. I will keep that in mind for future videos. =)
@@racheltalbott I understand!!! And I think most people, If not all, understand what you meant this time. But its so so important we understand that "natural" doesn't always mean good and "chemical" doesn't always mean bad. It's so important because a lot of companies are preying on consumers with those buzz words and a lot of products still contain harsh ingredients that are bad for the skin and body and life because they are still "natural and organic" ingredients. It's so important to be informed of what ingredients you are using and how they react to other ingredients, not just trust a product because its "natural." But maybe I overreacted just a tad here, because you were comparing the use and ingredients of baking soda to barkeepers friend 🤣 I'm just so passionate about this!
