Well as you are probably now going to get inundated with silver ingots, you can keep them in that waterproof box to stop them tarnishing, a generous gift from a well liked scrapper. Oh n the sticker with the black back is a magnetic & waterproof.

Shark Scrapper laptops were probably removed and dealt with separately, but the case had stickers labels, ID plates(there are 4 holes above the latches where one might have been) and other markings removed, and a security person checked that it was empty and clean of any identifiable marks, and sent it to be scrapped

When the military says they they sanitize a piece of equipment, it doesn't mean they they spray it down for viruses, etc, it means that they de-classify it by removing all sensitive information from the devices within. This includes printed information, stored data, and any other classified or sensitive information or material. Often when I buy computers from companys that are downsizing or removing outdated equipment, you often see stickers that say that they have been sanitized or de-classified. That usually just means they have formatted the Hard drive and have overwritten the data so that nothing can be recovered.

Hey Ben thanks again for the info. Love and watch your videos. And I've already started my own collection of pins and miscellaneous plated stuff. I was thinking about paying for scrap like you do sometimes. Someone has a Cisco 5500 for $50...looks big. I thought about offering $20 just because you seem to like the Cisco switches. Of course I need to look inside it. I'd rather trash pick for free but thought it might be interesting since I don't usually find stuff like that. Don't mind spending a little to learn a little. Anyone here think I would at least break even? Thx all.

I used to have a very similar screen to that on my sun systems analyzer, that was pre computors in cars, basicly you have another box with 10 to 15 leads coming off it, for ign leads, battery ect ect, basicly the screen would show a graph of voltages ect, still enjoyed the strip down cos mine went up in flames years ago lol.

Stock up on long lasting food and fill the boxes up to the hilt for the food shortages which are on the horizon. Even better make some homemade pasta from your chucks eggs and dehydrate it and put it in with some homemade jerky. It will keep for a lot of years. Cheap tins of food from aldi is a great way to get your stocks up so your family won't stave. Another good thing to buy is 00 flour to make your own bread, pizza and pasta and get a distiller to drink any kind of water.
Remember you can never have too much food for emergencies but you can have too little and starve!!!

Ben, You are collecting computer parts like, IC Chips, RAMs, CPUs, Gold fingers etc. You have no space in your garage as you are a habitual messer. You clean your garage 50% and in a week it is full of stuff. You pack each computer component in each box. You can keep it in front of your garage door or anywhere. Remember they are cubical in shape so you can stack them up 10 high and they won't get crushed because they are military grade.
Or on a lighter note, you can keep all your money in them and give the boxes to me for safe keeping 😁
