Okay interesting stuff here, the Sheepinator explains why there's no morph weapon, because they had THIS considered but it couldn't make the cut. Love the proton drum and new weapon ideas, especially the new ones. The eruptor one almost feels like a spiritual successor to the lava gun in a weird way, especially with how the upgrade seems to shoot out little meteors. Now all we can see is if someone can try and mod these to be fully given textures and effects and such, and rebalanced for gameplay, and then boom not only do we have some fully functional extra weapons for the PC, but also a full third weapon wheel.
Interesting to see the Proton drum almost return. One of my favourite weapons in the series but its only on the one of the worse R&C games 😔 That volcano one is sweet as well a unique idea and the V5 upgrade is creative.
We need more innuendo in modern Ratchet and Clank. Although, I wonder... Will we ever get another Ratchet game? Rift Apart really feels like its meant to be soft reboot/rebranding of the series. You play as Rivet more than you play as Ratchet, and Clank is completely obsolete now with the introduction of the hoverboots. We didnt even get a Giant Clank (or even Giant Kit) level. And now that Jim Ward is gone, I'm worried that they will use that as an excuse to push ahead with this so they dont have to recast him and can start new with Captain Quantum.
Does the RPG modifier work for these weapons? That wouldve been at least a better way to show their power, while not being perfect it wouldve helped visualize it imo. Fun stuff though love the beta name for the topiary sprinkler too lol
