Malie no. Mahalo 'oukou.
Are there young artists playing the traditional Hawaiian music 🎶 I hope that they are carrying it forward 🤙
There are some very wonderful young artists. George has been very instrumental in mentoring them!
Thanks to a wonderful resource (Lawrence at Taropatch.net) I have been informed that this song is called "Hale 'Olu", written by George Kahumoku, Jr. A live version is available on the award-winning Slack Key compilation Masters Of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Volume 3, and a studio version with Daniel Ho on Classic Hawaiian Hulas Vol.3
Poor ol Bob (rest his soul) always seems to be looking for something. in these clips of him. No doubt he was an accomplished musician in his own right.
Great enough to play with these gentlemen with aloha.
Würde sofort an ein Konzert gehen
I was lucky enough to meet Bob and photograph a concert he did at a Blues Club in St Albans Herts in Nov 2011, bought a CD (Blues Reflex) which he signed. His music at the time was not what I was expecting, but having 'followed' him and bought his "The Tau Moe Family with Bob Brosman" cd and read their story, then found TH-cam vids off him with LedKaapanaa, whom I now love listening to as I am attempting to play Slack Key guitar now realise how much of an accomplished musician he was. You want to watch him explaining Led's music on a Homespun music teaching video.

Nanea na ka uhane e
Hale Olu "The house of relaxation"
nahenahe dat's how !!!
"Hani Lei" is song title~
Mahalo! I added it :)
I love this song!. Could you please tell me how you identified this song? Where did you first hear it, and by what artist? A web search for "Hani Lei" returns only this video. Traditional Hawaiian song lyric databases such as Huapala.org don't recognize it either.
Carmel, Who would you recommend? I have Kuana Torres.
Well....my very close friends, The Abrigo Ohana. George has his "ukulele boys" Peter D'Aquino and Garrett Probst. Anthony Pfluke . These are really young guys. Has plenty more I just don't remember names
na lima Uhane A pu'uwai ,,, jus press Hawaiian! ! !
