I highly highly highly recommend the Hungarian classic, The Tragedy of Man, (Madách Imre) to anyone watching this. It is probably the best reflection on the cynical nature of man, and human suffering, second only to the Bible. It takes an alternative look at the aftermath of the Fall, as a play it has been amazingly adapted into animation as well, however I'm not sure if an english translation of that exists. I'm secretly hoping dr. Peterson will review/analyse it one day
