    Thanks for the vid'. Helped a lot. Can I mention that the lock on the top box is different to the panniers, ( no plate) and also, if you remove the key from the barrel a little piece of metal, which is part of the lock, will fall out of it's slot. It would be too easy to miss that and i guess would render the lock unusable. Confess i panicked when it dropped out! The solution...keep the key in the lock at all times until fitted. This is not a critisism of your excellent and very helpful video, just an observation that might help other peeps doing this job. Thanks again.

    Just wanted to comment here in late 2019 - the Givi TanklockED tankbags use the same keys as the Trekker bags, etc. Unfortunately, because I originally did not think I'd ever be buying a tank bag to go with my luggage set, I figured I'd save $20-30 bucks or whatever it is by buying the 3 key set instead, and installed that on my Trekker luggage set.
    Fast forward 9 months, I bought one of the Givi TanklockED bags, and now had to buy the 5-key set, and also need to re-key my Trekker luggage along with the tank bag.
    So my recommendation is, just buy the 5 key set, even if you don't think you'll need 5 keys. You just might change your mind down the line.

      It rests right above the spring. place it on the spring and place the lock cover over it, then tighten the nut

      can i ask, if you pull the key out of the new locks you can,t get the key back in, so looking at your removal you pulled the key out then pushed barrel out on its own does that mean now that old lock is no good. thanks

      anybody know the answer to my above question please

    • @robertallen534
      @robertallen534 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok, no answer here but did the job today and you don,t need to take old key out of old barrel just undo the nut as in video push barrel out with key still in it, i was concerned that if you took the key out first it was difficult to put back in the old barrel, as the new kit says don,t take the key out of new barrel

    Too bad you can't use the cylinders that come with your bike for the factory luggage kits. Even though the Ducati branded top case is a Givi Monokey, when I mounted a Outback Aluminum Top case to my factory rack, I was not able to use the cylinders designated from Ducati. Bastards!!!
