Franziska let two deuce games go through his fingers. Mizutani was not playing his best, yet looked likely to win at one stage. Kudos to Franziska for the comeback.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think Mizutani's physical conditioning level played a role here especially towards the end. It was not just tactical changes by Franziska...
I wonder if it makes a difference that Mizutani is a Lefty, so he's getting a lot of powerful FH loops to his BH, instead of the normal BH to BH rallies he'd have with another right handed player?
Patrick doesn't use his backhand off the table unless he has to Mizutani started opening up early with his forehand to stop Patrick from closing out with his backhand.
Mizutani wasted 3 matchpoints bcoz of non-chalant plays. He clearly wanted to make a finisher and whole match slipped away. Thats beauty of TT. Anyways, Franziska played fantastic.
Jun Mizutani lost 5 consecutive points when he had a 10:7 lead in game 5. He missed the best opportunity to close the game. He tried to fight in game 6 but lost eventually. You can see in game 7 he had no confidence at all and did not want to play anymore. 11-1 is so humiliating.
What a match! Amazing comeback by Franziska. This was a totally even match-up coming in, with the two players ranked 14 and 15 in the world.

水谷按实力是完全被Patrick碾压的。Patrick 前几局输在经验，好多正手位空挡没打，还有几次以为一板拍死，被对方挡回，有点轻敌 - 没把水谷当回事。未来几年，Patrick 成就要超过Timo ，挑战老瓦。中国选手遇上对头了。
全盛期に比べて決定力が明らかに落ちてるな…。調子が悪いというよりシンプルに周りの選手達の成長に食らい付くのが難しくなってる感じかなぁ

Franz should've won 4-1. Mizutani stole stets 1 and 3 after being down 7-10 and 8-10. Later on luckily Franz manages to turn the tide.
