Battlefield Line Railway - Winter Warmer Gala (Feb. 24) | Out & About

A casual afternoon visit to the Battlefield Line Railway for their Winter Warmer Gala. With three visiting locomotives; 5199, 4144 and 78018, this was certainly one of the busiest events the railway has put on.
I jumped on at Shackerstone, taking a trip up to Shenton and back to Market Bosworth, from there a quick break allowed a look around the station, before jumping on with 78018 for the final leg back to Shackerstone. Some filming, included the double headed 14:00 departure bought our day to an end.

Great video of what looked a great event. I find it puzzling that the 08 shunter at Market Bosworth was operating without connecting rods!

Thank you. Greatly reduces tractive effort, but weird to look am, I’m assuming it’s in the pipeline to get them on.
