I am a railway enthusiast from South-East England, who visits various heritage railways, miniature railways, model railway exhibitions, and a lot more around the country.
Everything I get up to can be found here on Facebook, as well as my own model railways, and other bits and pieces along the way.

Chelmsford Model Railway Exhibition (Oct. 24) | Out & About
An hour or so at a school in Chelmsford for the Chelmsford Model Railway Exhibition. With around 20 layouts in various gauges, it was a lovely exhibition. From the countryside based layout Braughing & Standon, to the wartime quayside at Operation Abyss, the show had layouts for all.

Great Electric Train Show (Oct. 24) | Out & About

Another great model railway exhibition held at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. Plenty of layouts in a variety of scales, eras, and settings. Some fantastic N gauge layouts, which have always been my personal favourite. Please take a look and see the variety, any support towards the channel is greatly appreciated.

A couple of hours spent at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre for the annual TINGS. Plenty of n gauge layouts in various sizes and plenty of traders. Also a punctual bus service laid on from Leanington Spa station.
Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway - Steam Gala (Sep. 24) | Out & About

A lovely day spend at the C&PRR for their first steam gala in a long while. With three visiting locomotives visiting the railway, they ran a shuttle service with all three locos sharing the turns, with a complimentary brake van ride at Princes Risborough Station. Very busy, but lovely to see a heritage line doing well, 100% worth a visit.
South Downs Light Railway - Steam Gala (Aug. 24) | Out & About

A small selection of photos from the second visit of the day to the charming ‘South Downs Light Railway’ at the Pulborough Garden Centre. The gala saw five service locos, plus a few extra here and there, running the services around the loop and up the hill through the woods. Thanks for the team at the SDLR that allowed me to go trackside and film the passings by.
Bluebell Railway - Brighton Works Weekend (Aug. 24) | Out & About

A lovely morning spent at the Bluebell Railway at Horsted Keynes watching the passing trains. Four locomotives, built at Brighton Works ‘back in the day’, ran the services between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead. Unfortunately, 72 ‘Fenchurch’ was swapped out for an alternative loco. The star, new build ‘Beachy Head’, is also seen amongst the selection.
Mangapps Railway - Diesel Gala (Aug. 24) | Out & About

A wet, but enjoyable morning at the Mangapps Railway Museum in Essex for the diesel gala. With every shunter and a few mainline locos available, this gala was packed with plenty of locos and stock running up and down the small demonstration like. Peak Rail - Steam Gala (Aug. 24) | Out & About

A lovely day spent at Peak Rail for the steam gala. Although a shortish line, this lovely railway runs from Matlock, where there is a connection with the national network through EMR, via Matlock Riverside and Darley Dale, terminating at Rowsley South. A free evening whilst away on training, and by coincedance I saw the midland pullman was passing through Peterborough on its way to York. The pullman had just run an excursion to Paington on the South-West coast, and was making the return journey on its way towards York. Class 7 70000 ‘Britannia’ passing Parsonage Lane near Ingatestone on the return leg of a rail tour to Norwich. Due to delays at Marks Tey, she was running late, which was well made up for as she hurried towards London. Please note this video was taken on a public path behind a level crossing barrier gate and aware of surroundings, do not trespass.
