So maybe your Grandma was drinking stronger coffee which made that smell more prominent? It is such a specific smell I can totally imagine it being a case where once you smell the coffee cigarette smell you can't un-smell it?

Exfoliating my underarms has changed the game for me! I’ve struggled with bad body odour all my life, to the point where I’ve had many people approach me (gently) about getting a special deodorant, it has been mortifying. I remember looking into so many methods as a teenager and nothing worked for me (I remember literally rubbing fresh lemon on my arm pits once because someone said it worked!). I work with people so I wanted to make sure I smelt good all the time. I saw someone recommend exfoliating with a rough scrub after using soap and then applying deodorant. This changed my life! I use coffee ground based scrubs because they work best for my skin chemistry, and then apply my natural deodorant and I smell good all day, no matter the weather. I’ll never go without a scrub!
Scrubs are great for this! But something that works even better for BO specifically is benzoyl peroxide. I get Panoxyl and I can go all day without deodorant when I use it. It kills the odor causing bacteria. But I love a good scrub before shaving as it helps with the bumps I get there 😊
Lauren, the super specific scent descriptions in this video had me dying! The seashell soap comment took me back to the 90's when my mom kept our bathroom stocked with those, and I always got into trouble for actually using them. My God, I can STILL smell them now. Thanks for the memories!! 🧼🐚
I’m actually devastated about the Tahitian vanilla bean scent being discontinued and that I didn’t buy a ton of backups! The scent was everything vanilla lovers could ever dream of! Love this video, I’m interested in trying more of their scents!
Oh man, I was hoping cotton candy would be number one because it’s my all time favorite! I smelled it in store thinking it was going to be vile because I normally hate anything cotton candy scented. Oh my god, it’s so good! It’s what I wanted strawberry to be because to me it has a strawberry vibe. I was also surprised by how much I love frosted sugar cookie. It has such a depth to it that I think is really nice and works so well with my cooler weather scents.
I was cracking up at the beginning because vitamin c and Moroccan rose were the last two that I bought and I’d been like forcing myself to like them because I don’t buy a new one until I’m out of my current one, and I just hate them so much 😂
I love the Watermelon and Strawberry scrubs, but I also love the smell of some artificial fruit flavors in candies like laffy taffy, jolly ranchers and airheads, so it makes sense, lol.
Ugh I purchased the blue lagoon because I finally ran out of the Peppermint (the best imo) and literally my husband said I smelled like his grandmas bathroom! You called it shell soaps is the exact smell.

But my favorite of the ones that I’ve tried and the one that I tend to repurchase every time is the Vitamin C scent, it definitely is just a mild, citrusy and soapy kinda scent, but that very much appeals to me! I’ve also tried the Blue Lagoon, Candied Lemon, Moroccan Rose, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Strawberry, Tahitian Vanilla Bean, Velvet Coffee, and Watermelon scents from Tree Hut (😮💨😮💨)- of those offerings, Blue Lagoon, Candied Lemon, Moroccan Rose, and Strawberry were favorites, too, while my least favorite was Pumpkin Spice Latte. However, the reason why I didn’t like the PSL scent is because it was much sweeter to me than I’d anticipated and I am also mostly averse to sweet fragrances, especially more bakery good-type ones, so if you tend to enjoy gourmand scents you likely won’t have the same issue. I apologize again for my delayed and now lengthy response, but thanks for asking and hopefully you found this helpful ! :’)💕

I smelled the vanilla today and loved it and I usually am not the hugest vanilla fan. Lol so funny how we all have different tastes/takes on this kind of stuff.
Interestingly enough, I’ve never been a Tree Hut scrub girl - I love their shave oils and body creams, but my favorite scrub is anything from the Onyx Bathhouse brand at TJ Maxx. The texture is sooo good and I prefer them to Tree Hut, but maybe I’ll give them a try again soon!
I found tahitian vanilla bean scrubs at tj maxx about a month ago and bought them all! Its the absolute best! Its like a perfumy boozy vanilla and i love it! I have like 7 of them left including the jumbo tub. I just didnt want to be without it! I also got the shave oil on targets website a few weeks ago for like 5 bucks so guess they was just clearancing out the stock. So good! I just find that it goes with everything. I absolutely love pineapple too. And the candied lemon. And desert haze is wonderful i just dont reach for it much bc its def occasion specific,

you are such a kindred spirit- i LOVE that you did this! i've never had a bad experience with Tree Hut but i am careful to skip the salt scrubs because they irritate my skin. (and i think they make fewer of those now.) I'm longing to smell the new fall scents!

I know this is a tree hut video, but I went into Walmart today to get a scrub, since I used the two I had up. I found a Tahitian vanilla scrub by Walmart. It has not too sweet, kinda relaxing and a little sexy Vanilla scent. Maybe you would like it. They also had an exotic Rose, coconut lime scent and a few other scents. They were in the same section as tree hut, so it seems they are trying to dupe them. Idk about a dupe for tree hut, I've only had one scrub from them and it was a small one, but I used the Tahitian vanilla tonight and it was amazing! It felt good without being too harsh and my skin felt so soft after. It has shae butter and oils in it to hydrate. I got the rose one too and I can't wait to use it.

Ooohh, gotta try the Cotton Candy one. Whenever I see pink and read cotton candy, I think Lush Snow Fairy, and I've had my fair share of that. Birthday Cake gives me some Blue Moon ice cream vibes. My fave is not around anymore - Brown Sugar. Soooo good. It has those caramelly brown sugar vibes that remind me of the darker edges of a freshly baked cookie. Tree Hut, bring it baaaaaack!
My top three in order are 1. Pumpkin Spice Latte 2. Tropic Glow 3. Exotic Bloom. We def have different preferences for scents; I loved this video! It's so fun to me to see which scents ppl like and why.
IMHO cotton candy is a dupe for the lush snow fairy. Its pink, sparkly, and the scent is Similar. When i smelled it that came to me immediately. Tree hut also has milk tea and apple macciato. I will probably play this video a few times great video! Love these scrubs. More than ouai.

Coconut lime is my jam. I bought both the body wash and the scrub in ocean glow. I haven't used the scrub yet. But the body wash has a orange citrus vibe to it. Can't wait to see the difference between them.

Desert haze is my favorite, I switch around every couple months and always go back to desert haze. I bought it years ago when I first moved in with my bf so now when I smell it , it truly takes me back to those first days in our old apartment 💜
I love these for a harsh scrub, but I was in downtown Alexandria,VA and came across The Sugar Apothecary and fell in LOVE with their foaming sugar scrub. Their Pina colada is amazing. They have an etsy shop and some stuff on Amazon.
I loveee the Vitamin C one lol. I actually just finished using that one and picked up the vanilla because it was nice. I agree though, it’s nothing outstanding but it’s a simple vanilla-vanilla. I wanna find the cotton candy one now to see because I was NOT expecting that one to be #1. 😂
I used to have the Tahitian vanilla bean scrub and shave oil and I didn’t think it smelled like vanilla at all. It smelled almost floral to me. I smelled their new vanilla and it smells closer to what I expect vanilla to smell like… but I agree it could be more gourmand. Also, desert haze smells so similar to Into The Night by B&BW. I always use those together 💜
Desert Haze is my fave, have repurchased many times already, I wish they would come out with a body butter in that scent, I fell in love with tropic glow plus have that in the shave oil bc it smells so delicious and I just ordered the boba milk tea, hope I like it but I do have my backup of desert haze already for when I finish tropic glow 😅

My favorite tree hut scent is Moroccan rose. I finished a scrub. I have the shave oil and spray in the scent. I want to repurchase the a new scrub in the scent. I also want the shave scrub and the body cream in the scent. I think it's such a clean but sexy scent. The notes are bergamot, tea rose and amber. Bergamot and amber are to of my favorite scents and the rose gives it a touch of floral with out being too much.
The vanilla bean one is one of my favorites! But I am OBSESSED with the new sweet cream one they just came out with too! I really wanna find the almond honey one that was discontinued because that sounds like it would smell like heaven
The limited edition from this past winter, Iced Coffee, is my all time favorite so far. I paired it with the native body wash in the sugar cookie scent and it was divineeeee

Tree Hut is now available in Canada and I got to smell a bunch of these in store. Most of the scents were fruity and I didn't like them. But Vanilla... that one I liked and couldn't stop thinking about.
Me and my mom went to get my first tree hut today, we were there for summer camp shopping and i came home with rainbow sorbet. IT SMELLS SOOOOO GOOD!! She also said vitamin c smells like baby powder lol .

Velvet Coffee seems like one people love or hate. I drink black coffee and I do not really like sweet coffee so (for me) it is not dirty. I like that it was just freshly brewed coffee without sweetener, creamer, or anything like that. But if you prefer sweet coffees, I can see why this would perhaps not be your thing. Excited for the new coffee scent. Maybe a comparison video?
Watermelon lasted me a full year, it was so strong but in a good way! It reminded me of watermelon bubblegum. I didn’t get the stink that you mentioned. I often get that stink from Baby Powder scented products. Exotic Blooms smells good in the jar, but once I used it, it reminded me of hair lotion or conditioner…kind of a plastic doll smell or something. I gave it away.
Moroccan rose…I love🤤 I also love tropic glow and watermelon & I enjoyed the vitamin c one. I use the scrubs to layer w my perfumes & I use the matching body butters. Tree Hut’s awesome! Def gonna try more!
The speed with which I clicked on this video...! I have the vitamin C body wash, and while I generally like it, sometimes it smells a little odd. I'm glad I didn't grab the butter or scrub. You've talked me out of the candied lemon. I just saw their fall launches and I'm def picking up the pumpkin. I had a feeling the cotton candy one would be your favorite. I have just started using Tree Hut scrubs and love their fragrances. I am buying them to use with my Bath and Body works sets. Just tried the Boboa Milk Tea and really like it. I bought both the Velvet Coffee and Iced Coffee but haven't tried them yet. They are a good deal for the price
oooh, so excited to see the scrub video you talked about at the end of the video! personally i've been really enjoying the sugar spider scrubs i bought a while back- two finger ballet is a really nice vanilla, but their chocolate scents are not the vibe for me. i really like the watermelon scrub from tree hut, but it's deffo not one i'll be repurchasing. fully agree about strawberry smelling very artificial, idk what it is about fruit scents but they can be so difficult to get right sometimes. i find that the wetter scrubs end up in my boyfriend's bathroom because his skin is a little more sensitive than mine, and it seems like he really likes the vanilla type scrubs so i'm sad to see tahitian vanilla bean is going because it's one he really enjoys. :(

I'm kinda new to actually purchasing scrubs. I've always just mixed sugar or salt into my conditioner and scrubbed away! But I got a free tree hut Pumpkin Spice Later with an ULTA promotion last year and I enjoyed it. I bought Desert Haze and Birthday cake. I love their body butters. My Favorite is Tropic Glow because its similar to the the Bum Bum cream but not as overpowering. I can actually use it on my whole body but the bum bum I use like perfume. I'm excited to smell the new Sweet Cream scent. Maybe its what I hoped birthday cake would be 🙂
The fact that they discontinued Lemon Blueberry Tart is a CRIME. It is my all time favorite. Candied Lemon comes close, but it's not the same. I think it's so funny, but I HATE the Cotton Candy scent. 🙈 Like, it actually made me mad when I used it. I get half chewed bubblegum for sure, but in a stuck to the bottom of a desk sort of way. It smells so synthetic to me.

you are such a kindred spirit- i LOVE that you did this! i've never had a bad experience with Tree Hut but i am careful to skip the salt scrubs because they irritate my skin. (and i think they make fewer of those now.) I'm longing to smell the new fall scents!
Its so funny you open with talking about the bad coffee scent and now they've released a whole line with iced coffee, boba, lattes, and macchiato lol. plus sweet cream body butter!
I know this is a tree hut video, but I went into Walmart today to get a scrub, since I used the two I had up. I found a Tahitian vanilla scrub by Walmart. It has not too sweet, kinda relaxing and a little sexy Vanilla scent. Maybe you would like it. They also had an exotic Rose, coconut lime scent and a few other scents. They were in the same section as tree hut, so it seems they are trying to dupe them. Idk about a dupe for tree hut, I've only had one scrub from them and it was a small one, but I used the Tahitian vanilla tonight and it was amazing! It felt good without being too harsh and my skin felt so soft after. It has shae butter and oils in it to hydrate. I got the rose one too and I can't wait to use it.

Ooohh, gotta try the Cotton Candy one. Whenever I see pink and read cotton candy, I think Lush Snow Fairy, and I've had my fair share of that. Birthday Cake gives me some Blue Moon ice cream vibes. My fave is not around anymore - Brown Sugar. Soooo good. It has those caramelly brown sugar vibes that remind me of the darker edges of a freshly baked cookie. Tree Hut, bring it baaaaaack!
My top three in order are 1. Pumpkin Spice Latte 2. Tropic Glow 3. Exotic Bloom. We def have different preferences for scents; I loved this video! It's so fun to me to see which scents ppl like and why.
IMHO cotton candy is a dupe for the lush snow fairy. Its pink, sparkly, and the scent is Similar. When i smelled it that came to me immediately. Tree hut also has milk tea and apple macciato. I will probably play this video a few times great video! Love these scrubs. More than ouai.
You need to try their holiday scents! Candy cane, holiday cheer and sugar plum!

Coconut lime is my jam. I bought both the body wash and the scrub in ocean glow. I haven't used the scrub yet. But the body wash has a orange citrus vibe to it. Can't wait to see the difference between them.

Desert haze is my favorite, I switch around every couple months and always go back to desert haze. I bought it years ago when I first moved in with my bf so now when I smell it , it truly takes me back to those first days in our old apartment 💜
I love these for a harsh scrub, but I was in downtown Alexandria,VA and came across The Sugar Apothecary and fell in LOVE with their foaming sugar scrub. Their Pina colada is amazing. They have an etsy shop and some stuff on Amazon.
I loveee the Vitamin C one lol. I actually just finished using that one and picked up the vanilla because it was nice. I agree though, it’s nothing outstanding but it’s a simple vanilla-vanilla. I wanna find the cotton candy one now to see because I was NOT expecting that one to be #1. 😂
I used to have the Tahitian vanilla bean scrub and shave oil and I didn’t think it smelled like vanilla at all. It smelled almost floral to me. I smelled their new vanilla and it smells closer to what I expect vanilla to smell like… but I agree it could be more gourmand.
Also, desert haze smells so similar to Into The Night by B&BW. I always use those together 💜
Desert Haze is my fave, have repurchased many times already, I wish they would come out with a body butter in that scent, I fell in love with tropic glow plus have that in the shave oil bc it smells so delicious and I just ordered the boba milk tea, hope I like it but I do have my backup of desert haze already for when I finish tropic glow 😅

My favorite tree hut scent is Moroccan rose. I finished a scrub. I have the shave oil and spray in the scent. I want to repurchase the a new scrub in the scent. I also want the shave scrub and the body cream in the scent. I think it's such a clean but sexy scent. The notes are bergamot, tea rose and amber. Bergamot and amber are to of my favorite scents and the rose gives it a touch of floral with out being too much.
The vanilla bean one is one of my favorites! But I am OBSESSED with the new sweet cream one they just came out with too! I really wanna find the almond honey one that was discontinued because that sounds like it would smell like heaven

Pink Hibiscus is my fav I own a business & this scent gives a unisex fragrance I enjoy the moisture luxury that gives to a back scrub after a massage 🥰

Tree Hut is now available in Canada and I got to smell a bunch of these in store. Most of the scents were fruity and I didn't like them. But Vanilla... that one I liked and couldn't stop thinking about.

Me and my mom went to get my first tree hut today, we were there for summer camp shopping and i came home with rainbow sorbet. IT SMELLS SOOOOO GOOD!! She also said vitamin c smells like baby powder lol .

My absolute favorite is Sugar Cookie 😊 Moroccan rose is #1 rated but I've never tried it cause I do not like rose at all. Loved Watermelon but felt the black bits in it stuck everywhere and didn't dissolve Ike other ones
Velvet Coffee seems like one people love or hate. I drink black coffee and I do not really like sweet coffee so (for me) it is not dirty. I like that it was just freshly brewed coffee without sweetener, creamer, or anything like that. But if you prefer sweet coffees, I can see why this would perhaps not be your thing. Excited for the new coffee scent. Maybe a comparison video?
Watermelon lasted me a full year, it was so strong but in a good way! It reminded me of watermelon bubblegum. I didn’t get the stink that you mentioned. I often get that stink from Baby Powder scented products. Exotic Blooms smells good in the jar, but once I used it, it reminded me of hair lotion or conditioner…kind of a plastic doll smell or something. I gave it away.

The speed with which I clicked on this video...! I have the vitamin C body wash, and while I generally like it, sometimes it smells a little odd. I'm glad I didn't grab the butter or scrub. You've talked me out of the candied lemon. I just saw their fall launches and I'm def picking up the pumpkin. I had a feeling the cotton candy one would be your favorite. I bought it a few months ago but haven't opened it yet (working on others, like tropic glow). Super curious to know your thoughts on the new fall releases if you end up getting them!

I have just started using Tree Hut scrubs and love their fragrances. I am buying them to use with my Bath and Body works sets. Just tried the Boboa Milk Tea and really like it. I bought both the Velvet Coffee and Iced Coffee but haven't tried them yet. They are a good deal for the price

oooh, so excited to see the scrub video you talked about at the end of the video! personally i've been really enjoying the sugar spider scrubs i bought a while back- two finger ballet is a really nice vanilla, but their chocolate scents are not the vibe for me.
i really like the watermelon scrub from tree hut, but it's deffo not one i'll be repurchasing. fully agree about strawberry smelling very artificial, idk what it is about fruit scents but they can be so difficult to get right sometimes. i find that the wetter scrubs end up in my boyfriend's bathroom because his skin is a little more sensitive than mine, and it seems like he really likes the vanilla type scrubs so i'm sad to see tahitian vanilla bean is going because it's one he really enjoys. :(

I'm kinda new to actually purchasing scrubs. I've always just mixed sugar or salt into my conditioner and scrubbed away! But I got a free tree hut Pumpkin Spice Later with an ULTA promotion last year and I enjoyed it. I bought Desert Haze and Birthday cake. I love their body butters. My Favorite is Tropic Glow because its similar to the the Bum Bum cream but not as overpowering. I can actually use it on my whole body but the bum bum I use like perfume. I'm excited to smell the new Sweet Cream scent. Maybe its what I hoped birthday cake would be 🙂

The fact that they discontinued Lemon Blueberry Tart is a CRIME. It is my all time favorite. Candied Lemon comes close, but it's not the same.
I think it's so funny, but I HATE the Cotton Candy scent. 🙈 Like, it actually made me mad when I used it. I get half chewed bubblegum for sure, but in a stuck to the bottom of a desk sort of way. It smells so synthetic to me.
