- At the beginning of this year, Metro Vancouver mayors shared their wish list for $20 billion in new transit investments over the next decade. But as Justin McElroy tells us, Richmond is now complicating the planning process.

Thanks for telling us who not to vote for
Blame BC transit and translink for the 1st rapid bus line that made Richmond not want it. The botched 98 B line plus a strike has soured Richmond on the successful implementation of a new rapid bus line. Basically we're going to let the other cities be the test bunnies 1st. Also the new purposed route will screw over businesses on the purposed route.

@@AlphineWolf No it won't.
Alright folks start sharpening your pitchforks.
Surrey Central to White Rock and Langley City to Maple Ridge please!
I'm sure you're happy to hear those routes were announced for BRT
Richmond is basically anti-transit, anti-pedestrian and anti-bike heaven.
And Surrey gets squat. You have the sky train right down #3 road . Trade places anytime.
Try leaving richmond at 8am in the morning and then see if you want a bus/hov lane
did you even read the map in the video. i am guesing you don't. the map clearly show People in Richmond can use the Canada line and expo line to get to Metrotown. why add the bus lane for going to metro down. tell me please
And we been there done that with the 98 b Line. Not falling for it
@@yeon723 why would we not want it?
430 bus is crowded and 410 is every time delays.
How about a better skytrain network?
They're too broke
Yea Richmond
how are they going to keep CBC employees safe? While at home before taking the train?
What about Coq city ? 😂 lol
Rapid bus to Metrotown but we already have one. 😅 What is translink smoking on. We have the 430
Rapidbus is faster and more capacity
Awidy-,'jiha
Skytrain already connects Richmond to Metrotown. Why do we need a new bus route to do the same?
It is a more direct route without need of a transfer
Skytrain and the 430 takes the same amount of time. No difference 😅
Because more than one route is needed
@@adanactnomew7085 they plan to cancel the 430 for this new route. We don't need another express route
How are you going to turn 430 into a Rapidbus line? It's not just one straight corridor like the other routes shown.
Add bus lanes add a bigger fleet there you go
People in Richmond can use the Canada line and expo line to get to Metrotown. Waste of money for a bus lane.
sooo the long way around (just like cycle lanes). Ain't no one got the time/energy for that, no wonder everyone drives and traffic gets worse
Which routes do you use with your car that go through two municipalities and then back the other way towards the municipality you're trying to get to?
We got ripped off the the 98 b line 😅 already
The 430 is already an express bus
@@AlphineWolf But it's not a RapidBus.
Did you pay off Brodie?
He was there when we had the disastrous 98 B line. Been there done that.
