We filed our N-400 as soon as possible based on the 3 years of marriage eligibility. My wife passed the N-400 interview and received a paper that said she passed all the parts of the interview, "i-751 pending" and that "case cannot be decided". Two days later we received an e-mail that an "action was taken on your account". The i-751 was approved! "Card Being Produced". So the N-400 filing and interview definitely sped up the i-751, so the information on this video was exactly correct for us - go ahead and file your N-400 ASAP. We did not have an i-751 interview and no combo interview although I was there in the waiting room and the agent saw me there with her.

By the way, we are in Orange County, CA. The USCIS office was in Santa Ana, CA where she had her N-400 interview. We filed the N-400 online. And thanks for this good video.

Congratulations Sir I just passed my citizenship interview today while my i751 pending but the officer told me she can’t make a decision now I’m worried how long it’s gonna take to contact me

@@ahmadiamina1162 We were in exactly the same situation. They should approve your i-751 and move forward with your citizenship soon unless there are other circumstances that I'm not aware of. This is a common situation I believe. Congrats!

@@HackingImmigrationLawLLC I hear that sometimes even if you are eligible under the 3 year rule to do so..they reject the N-400 application with no refund and tell you to wait until they approve the pending I-751. Is this true?? has there been a similar case?

Thank you Jim, this is a really helpful video! A simple question here, in one of the live shows you said having an online application and in paper application mixes things up for I130 and I485. What is your advice to file N400 (with a pending I751), in paper or online?

so 3 year rule is based on the date of conditional GC approval or on the date of your marriage ? I got married 2 years before i got my first GC approved.

Check the date your GC was approved on your card and start calculating from that date
