These two have such great chemistry in this game. Just like Leon/Claire did in RE2 remake. I wish Capcom went all out and made them a couple, even if it changed canon. After everything Carlos went through to save Jill and how deeply he cared about her, a kiss or even a hug from her would've felt like the most natural thing in the world by that point.
The Capcom are not good with romance in games RE 2 remake did a good job at making the relationship among character more realistic this game although good the writings felt rushed

I just love how Capcom have finally turned Carlos into a character with an actual personality, and not just a random NPC with a "foxy accent that the ladies love". Funnily, he has become VERY popular amongst the fanbase as a result. In an ideal world, we'd see him again in another game, but in reality, this was probably it, and he'll go back to being irrelevant, just like Sheva, Parker, Billy or Barry (Revelations 2 wasn't enough, PERIOD). Resident Evil, at this point, is basically "The Chris and Leon show", with occasional cameos by Jill and Ethan.
Thank you!! That’s exactly what RE has become. It’s hard for me to get excited for any game or CGI knowing it will most likely be another Chris and Leon adventure. It’s insulting how Capcom just completely ignores Jill and Claire has pretty much become a helpless civilian. Also doesn’t help that Chris and Leon are both jokes now. Chris has been through nearly every generic action hero story trope and Leon is just a watered down John Wick clone.
What's funny is Chris and Leon are the most popular the real kicker here is that for most of the resident evil games you play Original characters, females and backstories with female leads. Tension Maybe Chris and Carlos will meet up, they’re both the best looking male characters by far (not including 7 Chris) and Jill is the hottest female. It works.
I love how Jill is such an alpha but she's still kind of idealistic and melodramatic and not all jaded and depressed like a lot of other fictional alphas are.
Carlos, Tyrell, Mikhail and evening Murphy were perfect representations of truly good-hearted men who offered a second chance at life to make up for their past wrongdoings. I loved every single one of them.

I have to agree! For once I never thought I would say this but I hope they friendzone Chris and Jill! Carlos in this remake is way way way too cool and awesome! Also yes there is definitely some sexual tension between the two! It makes sense that they didn't capitalize during the game because honestly there is no time for love during the end of the world but God why can't they just show us the aftermath? Like when they escape at the end? Where do they go? What do they do? Either way I'm going to keep my expectations low cause well last thing I need is to be massively letdown! I will remain optimistic but cautious!

I'm a Valenfield but Valeveira is.......I never give too much attention on them in the original RE3 but this remake changed everything. Their chemistry that even 5th grader can see it. The way he cared for her deeply and complimented her all the time. Go way back to hell to get her the vaccine. Almost remind me of how Chris went nuts when Jill was out of his sight and went all the way to Africa to find Jill even it was only a rumor (in RE5). I mean who wouldn't want Jill?
I'm so glad they didn't follow the shitty trend of "strong women need to be masculine looking". You know, muscular, acting all masculine and shit. Jill is still beautiful, and feminine. She gets her ass kicked, but rises above it every time. She IMO falls in love. And she's brave, almost fearless, yet compassionate and caring. That's a strong female character. Carlos and Jill better be a canon relationship. As an 18 year old guy, even I started getting that feeling seeing them together, protecting each other, and caring for eachother.

Normally I don't "SHIP" certain things in games or movies but I have to admit it would be welcome with open arms if Jill and Carlos become a couple! Honestly Capcom should retcon the timeline and say that they had some kind of relationship or maybe something went down between them before Jill alongside Chris go create the BSAA and continue to fight Umbrella! Fingers crossed I guess! I will keep my expectations low but still hopeful!
It honestly feels like Capcom are retconning some things. Even in RE2 remake, the Leon and Claire ship was hinted a little more, especially at the end of the game where Sherry thought of them as boyfriend and girlfriend, and Claire kinda referred to that event as an interesting first date. Could be nothing, but it's just weird to me to see Carlos get a complete revitalization of his character if he's only gonna be a one off type character. Like they actually put effort into changing him and making him likeable, instead of just sticcing to what he was when we first saw him. Either they do nothing with a great character like him with room to expand, or Capcom actually listens to the fans for once. The ship makes even more sense as they both actually developed great chemistry, literally from the ground up (considering they met with Jill lying on the ground lol). From no trust and easily sensed tension, to showing complete faith in one another, to the point Jill couldn't kill him in her nightmare and took the bite. A real naturally progressed relationship, that supersedes anything shown between Jill and Chris imo

I love how Jill is such an alpha but she's still kind of idealistic and melodramatic and not all jaded and depressed like a lot of other fictional alphas are.
Carlos, Tyrell, Mikhail and evening Murphy were perfect representations of truly good-hearted men who offered a second chance at life to make up for their past wrongdoings. I loved every single one of them.

I have to agree! For once I never thought I would say this but I hope they friendzone Chris and Jill! Carlos in this remake is way way way too cool and awesome! Also yes there is definitely some sexual tension between the two! It makes sense that they didn't capitalize during the game because honestly there is no time for love during the end of the world but God why can't they just show us the aftermath? Like when they escape at the end? Where do they go? What do they do? Either way I'm going to keep my expectations low cause well last thing I need is to be massively letdown! I will remain optimistic but cautious!

I'm a Valenfield but Valeveira is.......I never give too much attention on them in the original RE3 but this remake changed everything. Their chemistry that even 5th grader can see it. The way he cared for her deeply and complimented her all the time. Go way back to hell to get her the vaccine. Almost remind me of how Chris went nuts when Jill was out of his sight and went all the way to Africa to find Jill even it was only a rumor (in RE5). I mean who wouldn't want Jill?

Jill is still beautiful, and feminine. She gets her ass kicked, but rises above it every time. She IMO falls in love. And she's brave, almost fearless, yet compassionate and caring. That's a strong female character.
Carlos and Jill better be a canon relationship. As an 18 year old guy, even I started getting that feeling seeing them together, protecting each other, and caring for eachother.

Jill/Carlos flirty relationship in this Remake feels pure and natural. Unlike the Remake version of Claire/Leon , felt awkward and forced.

Normally I don't "SHIP" certain things in games or movies but I have to admit it would be welcome with open arms if Jill and Carlos become a couple! Honestly Capcom should retcon the timeline and say that they had some kind of relationship or maybe something went down between them before Jill alongside Chris go create the BSAA and continue to fight Umbrella! Fingers crossed I guess! I will keep my expectations low but still hopeful!
It honestly feels like Capcom are retconning some things. Even in RE2 remake, the Leon and Claire ship was hinted a little more, especially at the end of the game where Sherry thought of them as boyfriend and girlfriend, and Claire kinda referred to that event as an interesting first date. Could be nothing, but it's just weird to me to see Carlos get a complete revitalization of his character if he's only gonna be a one off type character. Like they actually put effort into changing him and making him likeable, instead of just sticcing to what he was when we first saw him. Either they do nothing with a great character like him with room to expand, or Capcom actually listens to the fans for once. The ship makes even more sense as they both actually developed great chemistry, literally from the ground up (considering they met with Jill lying on the ground lol). From no trust and easily sensed tension, to showing complete faith in one another, to the point Jill couldn't kill him in her nightmare and took the bite. A real naturally progressed relationship, that supersedes anything shown between Jill and Chris imo
