I think one aspect that's hard to just put into a bullet point that really disappointed me with FH5 is originality. FH4 already felt pretty iterative of FH3, which was also more of an expansion of FH2. I was hoping for FH5 to really shake things up with new gameplay modes, online features and other surprises that makes it feel more distinct. Unfortunately even the DLCs were all pretty much retreaded ideas from previous games, although they did experiment with new surface types to give them some credit. For FH6 I just want to be surprised again, I want to feel like I'm playing a Forza Horizon game for the first time again.
I made a custom layout using the Baja circuit, and had to make a wonky turn around to use the reverse direction. Simply being allowed to flip the starting line would open up so much.
Horizon 5 did absolutely make Horizon Editions more unique -Track focused BMW X5 M -C1 Corvette with Gold Accents -Anniversary Edition Viper -Charger R/T with NASCAR tires -More rally focused Exocet -Rally Monster Ford Puma -Donut Media Edition Ford Supervan 3 -Sesto Elemento with 4WS System -Maserati Gran Turismo S with Gold Accents -Off-road built Mercedes Truck -CLK GTR with extreme aero -Track tires with Michelin branding on the Meyers Manx -Electric swapped Mini Cooper Classic -Morris Minor with Track tires and unique tire writing -Offroad beast 350Z -Huayra BC with extreme aero -NASCAR tires on the Firebird Trans AM -Safari build 911 GT3 RS -Dedicated Drag build for the VW Bettle
Still not very unique or special for the most part. They should just ditch these if gold accents and different wheels can be considered special enough changes
ECU/boost pressure tuning would be much appreciated, but the biggest thing for me is lack of event variety. FD style tournaments or drag racing tournaments could be really dope. More npc traffic on the highway would be nice too.
I don’t think we will get car packs anymore in the future at the very least. As for the car vouchers, I don’t see that many people purchasing this transaction. So I’m glad it’s starting to fail out this feature.
Car Vouchers have *not* proven Popular and will hopefully be Dropped before the Next Game, what I will say is, as one who feels any and all Forms of FOMO Mechanics should be *outlawed* ,I would far rather have Paid DLC than the FOMO based "playlist" Chore Chart!
i think forza edition cars did get improved. Most of the ones launching with FH5 had unique features, the Dakar 350z, the maserati and corvette with the gold accents, unique wings + customisation on stuff like the X5 and CLK GTR. and even rear wheel steering on the sesto.
they are uniques, but how much you drive them. from my perspective, fe giulia, brz, gtr and ford gt, was some cars that i drove the most. on fh5 have so few options
@@_viih97honestly, FE cars never really got my attention, because i want my cars to be mine, so driving a pretuned one seems very lame, i respect thoose who use them stock or who use custom builds (to an extent, i despise people who exclusively play the META) Either way, i'd rather have more customization options than have the FE cars
Actually, Blizzard Mountain/Fortune Island/Rally Adventure feature reverse race layouts. They're just not named "reverse". So I don't think it's a tech limitation.
The map is a big issue with this game, something about it just doesn't click like the others have in the past. Australia was super flat too but somehow it just "felt" better
australia was flat but it also had numerous areas that were diverse. you had Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, the Outback, the jungle, etc. it felt better because the map quickly changed whenever you travelled. Mexico is just flat, but most of it is the exact same. the jungle is both somehow too small(compared to the whole map) but also is enormous which means it takes ages to return to the bland flat wasteland again.
1/8th of the map is a volcano 3/4 of the map is desert then theres a small jungle and some beaches if you go into fh5 you can drive for miles without seeing a house in fh4 there were houses and towns everywhere in fh5 you can drive miles without seeing and npc in fh4 I would see an ai car almost every road fh4 has edinburgh in mexico it looks kind of like it should be in disney but less cartoony and more gloomy… im not saying fh4 is perfect nor am I saying fh5 is terrible but it can lack in alot of placces the fact its a desert with little to no obstacles at times makes it hard to cruise around if you go into fh4 and try and go 45 on a backroad or 70-85 you can do it for a mile or 2 without getting to bored in Mexico i last about 10 seconds before i floor it.
They wasted Mexico. It's supposedly the "most varied" map, yet I feel like 60% of it is dessert and grassland (which is yellow in spring and winter, making it look like dessert too) and there aren't any pine nor leafy forests, how do they even mess that up so badly when those would have been amazing drift zones? The beauty spots are so sporadic I wouldn't blame people not even noticing them. And Mulegé, respectfully, it's so bland and boring, is not even a Pueblo Mágico, why even bother with it?
Most of my asks stand at paint sheen/type and similar customization issues, for the "can't model everything" response then don't, just set up a few nodes that determine placement and scaling of features over a 'default shape' that all the aftermarket parts share on a per car basis. Maybe set up a second one or some other things like painting the chrome or adding features like splitters/defusers for seperate bodykit ganres
@@lyomon9981They have a very good excuse. Ralph Fulton openly Stated that they were Genuinely looking at Neons, Exhaust Tips, Window Stickers, etc for FH4 (as the old "max power" look is still pretty big in the UK) but had to stop when several High Value Car brands threatened to Remove their Licenses if those features were added to the Game! So they have a very good Excuse, the Car Companies said No!
20:20 its actually a bit the case in rally expansion, on sprint races if you see deeper 😅 Now that im here i want to share you my vision, whats the priority for me to change: - theres some obvious ones like online stability & cheat management, i quickly evacuate them - car sorting with simple icons or even race icons, they know how to do it with heart mark for favorite so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - also rims sorting, by brand & weight - better route/level design (it rejoins the idea of elevation/mountain roads, i will add even tighter roads in general), theres so much more to do with inspiration of real road, they know how to do it, look at Guanajuato (btw this is a problem since FH2 for me) - PI rework, as you said it highly progressed compare to FH4, but it can be better, why anti lag doesnt cost anything, why front wheels size costs so much - custom ECU/restrictor, to reduce your HP & optimise for top of class (imagine you're S1 802, 3HP left & you are on top of A class 😅) - also more different turbos size/ pressure tunning like ECU - speaking of class, i always have had the idea to separate in two, like A2 701-750 & A1 751-800, because cars on bottom class are never used, idk its idea like that - car meetings, now that we have avatars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - its maybe personnal but the sensation of speed can be better, when im at 200mph, i feel more like im at 150, maybe i played too much F-Zero in my life but, idk if you feel the same 😅 - the test track mode apply to other race tracks is a fucking good idea ! - rear wings... I dont understand, they have custom wings like, X5 FE for hatchbacks, the one from the CLK GTR FE... Idk if its hard to adapt for each cars 😕 - i forgot about car audio, its better but still not enough, i dont feel impressed like i can be in real life, why its not screaming in my ears, so loud that it gives you butterfly in your belly, im sure its possible with better audio mastering - drift/drag races like it was in ProStreet/Shift, it was perfect, a zone, 3 runs, the best wins - speaking of drift zones, im for mixed zones, with drift score + chrono, it avoids frustration like the mini mountain road in FH4 - horizon link is cool, i will prefer something a bit like rocket league quick message system, with 4 lines under each direction 🤔 - decals on windows, looks like it works correctly in GT7 - for convoys, since FH4 i always tought about a preferential server system for freeroam, like rp server, drag, drift, cruise,etc... I will finish my book here, by adding the fact that i think the custom radio could be cool, but at the end of the games life. Groove music was cool with my music, but because of that i dont have that many souvenirs about FH3 OST Cheers Horizon festival-goers ✌️ Fck u if you drive the bone shaker haha
I'm no game dev or liscence manager but I'd think almost all of the visual customizations that weren't bettered could be improved with some generic options changed slightly for the vehicle similar to Forza aero or GTA
I still would like to know why the 100 dollar version of the game didn’t get access to some new car packs. I love the fast and furious cars but I’m not paying more money when I was promised everything.
I strongly diisagree with this having better stories, they are easily an extremely close second worst thing about the game for me. Not only are they all pathetically easy, every single one of them range from extremely annoying to out right terrible IMO. especially the characters, there isn't a single one that I can even remotely tolerate never mind like.
One that I thought could have been included in this is updated models for some outdated cars. Poor Silvia S15 still has its lines look off, and it's not the only one.
I believe it is as good as it can be. That's sufficient for me. For further improvement we need FH6. Hopefully they won't fail with FH6 as they did with FM8.
Fix Motorsport and put it inside of the Horizon Series. Now make the world a living place with stuff to do everywhere, and not load into boring story and talking heads! Drive to track events. Viola!
I agree more normal cars. Not too many V6 American cars though they are very much similar in spec. They used to have like the BMW 235i and Lexus GS350 and IS350 those were cool. Ecoboost Mustang would be cool but the Ford Focus RS already has that engine basically.
@@e46m54nissansr20937 Having the same engine in one car is an absolutely different experience from how another car performs in it. Right now, it's incredibly popular in society, and the game has no option for it. I was hoping it would be a simple, but very nice thing for them to add.
A drifting rivals mode was exactly what I was thinking while watching this, the other think that came to mind for me is wheels. You mentioned the wide selection and I agree. It's so vast, in fact, that I could really use them categorized by weight.
i've been a forza player for years, and im just now getting into modding (never knew there was anything cool offered for forza) so if you're on pc.. and a fan of this game, check out mods for forza like 5.5 sound overhaul.
Just be wary as a lot of Mods are in a very grey area in terms of the TOS. If you're caught (no matter what it is you're actually modding) you'll likely get slammed with a permanent Account Ban.
My relationship with fh5 has been really interesting, it has hit so many of my boxes for me with you mentioning most of them. naming a few being more body kits, more cars, custom tracks and biggest for me better wheel support. It’s crazy how good it is, I got the game to feel just like assetto corsa which is incredible to me but I’ve also found this game to be the least memorable to be. I was an advocate for wanting forza to go to Mexico due to the racing scene but I just think they missed the mark. Guanajuato feels great but it’s just so small. We need a city just like that and way bigger, even going back to 2 or 3 cities in one map like fh3 because fh5 has been way to bear. So while I love the way the game feels and play it a lot, it just hasn’t had a impact on me like the other games.
I wish for the next forza horizon they make it a bit more serious, not so childish dialogues and akward things on the supposed 'stories' There are events that are grest to play but hearing the dialogues is just annoying.
@@sparkietrap6257 It's possible to make a PG script that isn't cringe. And accusing millennials for being bad writers and the reason that the stories have cringe writing is hilarious. anyone who thinks an entire generation of people are all the same is just stupid, they are just, racist, sexist, ageist, however you want to put it.
I think my two cents on why they're holding back on windshield decals are that they worry or still can't figure out how to create one without affecting visibility, the game have cockpit view and perhaps the Developers just don't know how to accommodate both
I think FH6 should have a smaller, more populated map, the eliminator should be eliminated (see what I did there) to allow more of a diverse map, and obviously improved netcode would be ideal. The upgrade system and physics of fh5 is definitely a step above fh4 but the map feels barren and not as memorable as the any of the previous games.
He was using it as a Stopgap series when there was nothing else to make content on. Streaming took precedence soon after the launch of FH5 and now he's just more busy due to baby.
I was fully on board with praising PG for putting a bit more effort into supporting the game at the beginning of 2023, with how poorly they did for the year before and for its creation. But I think people are getting a little out of hand with heaping praises on what Forza Horizon has actually achieved in the last year. At most. Its finally achieved the baseline of what would have been acceptable as a sequel title to FH4, in features and content. The content is still half assed, Some of it is bafflingly impotent, like the test track where the upgrading is a slower, worse experience and theres no meaningful testing that can take place. But we see with the partnership with Donut Media, In contrast to the same partnership deal and events done by TheCrew Motorfest, PG is just missing the point of everything. They just do not get it. I dont know why they make games. Other than a paycheck, I dont see them putting physical evidence of passion behind their work. I would hate to have to work on a franchise and game I resented just to collect a paycheck. And after a second and third game going on 10 years, Im sure it would definitely show in my work. And its the same story for most AAA devs, Including T10 clearly.
I never understood why PGG got so much praise last year. As you say, they've only taken the game to the level it should have been in the first place. For me as a solo player, there is a lack of single player content everywhere. The story mode was a complete joke.
@@benn87 Well its not even really a multiplayer game either. With the way thats handled. The open world completely lacking in other players driving around like previous entries despite apparently tens of thousands of people being active right now.
PS. I am one of those with hundreds of millions with nothing to spend it on. Something would also want to see was complete conversion kits in the game (Rally, Drift, Race, Offroad), just one click and you're set to go. Don't get me wrong, i love setting up cars to do what i want them to do but it still feels incredibly empty. 😢
The one thing I'm still missing is the damn Backstage Pass system, I fully expected it to be added already but I guess they're waiting for EOL. We'll never see Private Trades though with cars imo, just due to a Black Market being created for Rare Cars. There's already a problem with scammers when it comes to only trading with ingame Credits and other Cars but putting the ability to guarantee a trade would create a Demand for Real World Money and would make the issue significantly worse. I definitely think the FH5 AI's driving is worse, it's like they're stuck doing a Pearl Harbour Reenactment constantly. I also think the DLC isn't much of an improvement, Hot Wheels 2.0 is just FH3 HW and Rally Adventure has a nice map but just thematically feels very flat and has terrible cars (even for someone like me who loves Off-road Trucks/Buggies). The Car Packs have recently started to feel a bit intrusive as well with their frequency and rising prices, plus some have cars that should definitely have been added to the Basegame instead (Cayman GT4 RS, VW Golf MK8, Ferrari 296, Ferrari Roma just to name a few).
One thing that has always annoyed me is whenever they need like 3 more PI on a muscle car, they ALWAYS give it a Lamborghini V12. Been a thing in FH4 and it's a thing in FH5
I highly doubt they'll add ecu tuning because most people who play the game are around 8-12 and adding ecu tuning to make their cars go faster means that they'll be forced to learn it which will be boring for them. It might be a good idea in Forza motorsport tho
They will turn up every variable in the ECU for races or just in general . They need to have a down side like possibly blowing your engine which should cost a good amount or actually bricking the ECU and having to buy another one it must cost something to hurt the wallet
Becker SWE here. Imo FH5 got WAAAY more attention when some staff in the studio got changed and more happened from season to season as well as new cars dropping into the game instead of the old recycling. /DBB
I have 2 things I'd really like to see: 1. more difficulty to earn credits. My experience and my friend's experience is that money is just thrown at you. I only have the time to play at most a few times a week now and am sitting on 90 mil credits just from leveling up wheelspins. I should mention that I consider myself a very highly skilled veteran player and so I should expect that the game be easier for me to earn money in and navigate compared to newer players who haven't played since FH2. Either way, I still miss the challenge it took for younger me to earn 1 mil credits and buy a Bugatti Veyron, it was such a happy proud moment. Maybe a feature that edited how much money was earned from wheel spins would be great. Or maybe just capping the maximum wheel spin credit reward to 100k like it used to be in FH2, when it was rare to earn 80k on a wheelspin. That way, earning credits came more from play time and actual effort than luck. 2. More social features, either through more competitive options for gameplay or for more casual options for free roam. Me and my group have been doing the same things for 5+ years (car shows in free roam, free roam tag, hide and seek, city camo, cruising, etc.) and they get old after that long. Having an addition or overhaul to any of these things would be amazing either for just QOL or an actual full blown feature. I miss car meets, the same old playground games should get some new games added to the list (like soccer, cat and mouse, hide and seek), actual role play car features, and walkable player houses that can be visited by your friends.
I hate to say this but take away the team aspect of playground games and build better playgrounds games areas. I loved forza horizon 2’s map the docs was a near perfect area. The industrial complex too. I made so many friends where all we did was play playground games and made really good cars for playground games but I haven’t willing played playground games since Forza horizon 3. They are focusing to much on roads need to focus on areas
I would be totally okay if they had to cut the car list in half in order to give us more customisation options. If they had less cars, we could get like window stickers/better livery editor, underglow, exhaust customisation like NFS Unbound where you can change the tips and how the car sounds, some sort of interior customisation too, more custom parts like NFS Unbound where almost every car has at least one option for each category, more wheels customisation where you could choose how wide the wheel is, if you want it to be deep dish and so on. If they focused less on having a big list of cars and focused more on atually making every car unique, Forza Horizon would be one of the bets open world racing games, but instead they have chosen quantity over quality. Hopefully, now that Mike Brown has left, we can get more requested features on future updates or even in Forza Horizon 6. I like to believe that some of our requested features will be coming together with FH6.
one thing i wish for in horizon 6 is to be able to swap ford v8 s into ford vehicles rather than only having the LS option for engine swap. I want to be able to put a 5.0 or a 5.2 into an older mustang!!
We actually do have a few but they're not that common. The V8 Crate Engine from the FD RTR Mustangs is available as a swap for 3 cars, it's the 7.2L V8 with 1000hp. The 5.8L V8 DSC is from the Shelby GT500, it's available on 15 Fords. The 5.2L V8 is from the GT350R, it's available on 8 cars. The 7.0L V8 is from the GT40 and is available on 4 Cars. The 6.7L V8T Diesel is from the F450 and is available on tons of cars.
The thing about straight up adding the DLC maps onto the main maps, is that in terms hardware/software, it isnt feasible currently. The main map alone strains the forza engine that was originally built for fh2 on the xbox one, so adding the dlc maps onto it could likely cause the game to break. Id say the xbox series MIGHT have enough performance to pull the dlc maps, but the physics engine is just too old to handle such a thing. They might do this when FH6 is xbox series exclusive and they use a new physocs engine, but God pray it doesnt turn into a forza motorsport if they do.
Honestly the only thing i realy want and wish for since fm4 is beeing able to reduce the hight of the tires and be able to lower car way way more than now. We got the option to make tires taller on some cars so why not be able to make them smaller? I dont want an e36 with 19inch wheels looking like dont but also no 16 inch wheels with baloon tires. So many older cars would look so much better with small wheels and low tire profiles
Man, if the Horizon series had Custom Radio just like ETS2 has.. 19:26 When I start a S1 race using the Diablo GTR there are always other ~5 Diablos and ~5 KTM X-Box GTR 4s 24:52 still they refuse to fix some models and keep adding more , which ain't bad, but then one tries it and can't get good scores due to the game's physics/handling. Also world AI with just a few cars and mostly big pickup trucks , wtf is this, Mexico or New Mexico USA?? 29:05 I like LEGO Valley , guess I am that one in 2000 which like it
If I could have bought the caddy limo offline, I would have, but now I’m just sitting on money because I don’t enjoy the other cars they have! I want all the meta cars, and some of them are blocked off by not being purchasable, such as the NSX GT.
30:01 no it is realistic. The terraria developer does this and really consistently on top of that it's just one guy but for this big of a game, horizon, it might be unrealistic yeah
Honestly I’d have liked to see changes to the balancing a lot of the time the pi doesn’t really match the performance of the car and the game gets stale and boring when everyone just awd and engine swaps everything and makes there cars handle almost identical to each other. For example I shouldn’t have to v8 swap the rx7 just bc I wanna win races with it when maxed out without an engine swap it preforms like an a class car mid way through s1
ps i love to see more cars in fh5/6 we buy in real life like ford ka or up mondeo toyota yarris to name a few and i love to see a new ai that dont crash into the rear of your car while racing or dont turn
I was crapping on FH5 on release, but got to say they improved it significantly over time. Wish they allowed to run "wheel only" lobbies in Horizon open to make competitive racing more attractive for wheel players, which currently get obliterated by RWD powerbuilds on gamepad assists. And I wish they'd added soft lock so that cars with e.g. 540 degrees of rotation would have 540 and 1080 would have 1080. From there, I wish they'd just leave it alone. Unfortunately they've completely ruined it in FM8 and didn't add either of these things, but given how FH5 turned out 3 years later, not all hope is lost.
I don't have a Wishlist for FH6 because I'm not going to bother wasting my money on another scam, sure FH5 wasn't completely terrible but you could clearly see that it was slowly getting worse. FM8 on the other hand is a complete scam in my personal opinion and with titles like the next Assetto Corsa and Test Drive coming out I can't see why I would even come back to any Forza game... Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... I don't think so!
I wish they would've maybe added NoS. If Gran Turismo 4, 6 and 7 had it, why can't FH5 have it? Its an arcade game, and yet it doesn't really feel like it
I've played them all and put in plenty of hours, but for me, FH5 is more of the same, just prettier. FH6 will need to bring something different. .Just my opinion.
If I am honest, I would have enjoyed FH5 a whole lot more if they only threw in 100 cars max but with a whole variety of tuning. Sound, looks, subwoofer, ... all of that. I had the 1000+ cars we get with shitty tuning options...
Yeah. I'm not convinced about the currency changes. Regardless of whether they fixed it or not, I am staying away from FH5. Doesn't even matter that I got the premium version for free with the purchase of the Xbox Series X, they have completely pissed me off too much that I turned into a sauerkraut. And no, I'm not splitting/respelling the two words. I don't want to get in trouble with the Germans.
so much i love to see in fh6 special if i should buy the game like better designed map factory engine swaps and factory car colors interior colors crew 2 style homes where you could park the cars a used cars dealer with rotating cars better car prices like in fh5 a 124 abarth cost the same as a NEW huracan technica also i love to see more racing modes
This many number of cars is unnecessary! You switch them so fast and forget about them you can't even develop some kind of bond with the car. I'd cut the number of cars by 40%-50% (Yes guys 400+ cars are still more than enough) and I'd take those resources to develop more car cosmetics, first person interactions with car interiors and the interiors in general to add more character to the existing cars, also giving houses more purpose than just a check point and adding more landscape variety to the map, buildings and activities. FH5 map feels dead and repetitive. Also needs to be mentioned that I'm not really vibing with the tone of the game. FH used to feel like that cool summer music festival with exotic cars that you visited and now you're nostalgic about it. Now the game feels like it's treating you like a toddler. I'm so tired of listening to characters that pretend to have the biggest smile on their faces when they're talking.
Exactly. Quality over quantity. But I don't think that will happen. The number of cars has become a selling point for many people (including Microsoft and PGG). Many people demand a large number of cars. It's no different with motorsport. And on the other hand, they also complain when the car models are outdated, offer little detail or even in some cases are faulty.
@@benn87 Yeah I've seen those posts on Horizon reddit. What a shitshow that is. Ppl complaining when the font in some speedometer is slightly off. Also with this many cars you can't help but feel too many of them feel the same but I can't really blame the devs that are forced to do this many cars from higher ups.
I mean I dumped a lot more time in H5 than H4 cause I got into FH pretty late as is. Still, I feel like H5 isn't all that different, especially the map really sucks. 4 was smaller but denser and more detailed while 5 has better handling and more cars; but better handling can often be achieved with tuning and whether or not more cars are a good thing is up to debate. My biggest gripes with 5 are that there's still no Horizon Open events for groups D and C, that the stories are generally atrocious, that the engine noises are pretty bad except for a few cars, that there are some cars that are still incredibly over tuned (fucking Boneshaker, Sesto FE, Scout 800) but about which PG doesn't give a damn cause who actually cares about online balance and lastly that the seasons don't make any difference. What I do absolutely think Horizon 5 nailed though was making you pay more attention to your cars cause you're forced to do the seasonal stunts and events with certain cars.
Well, Horizon 5 i all about Online play. Singleplayer is just there as a bonus, Kind of. Atleast the MP isn't like in The Crew 2, no transparent player cars.. a whole new level of Bumper cars online. One of the most toxic racing MP games. And the Horizon 5 difference in MP or SP is low.. only difference is other players, and them being transparent is no issue, whatsoever.
The single player in FH 5 was so bad that I wouldn't want to play it again. It was all very carelessly slapped together. You could tell from the very first second that the single player had become an unloved stepchild for the developers. I still can't understand all the good reviews. Horizon 5 is by far my least played instalment in the series. Precisely because of the poor single player and the big focus on multiplayer. I don't see Horizon 6 changing that much either. The pre-order was a huge mistake that I certainly won't repeat next time.
PG should look to Test drive unlimited, Project gotham racing 3 and Grand theft auto 5 (The last 4 years of car culture improvements). Car delivery for dealerships, delivery of goods and spots to hang out is a must.
FM8 made me appreciate FH5 a lot more.
Wait until you go bach to FH3 or 4, the maps will blow away your mind compared to FH5

That's true, the FE's are really cool and useable if you fine-tune them.
Maserati also features 4WS so it's not just a colour swap, same with the Beetle
Still not very unique or special for the most part. They should just ditch these if gold accents and different wheels can be considered special enough changes
ECU/boost pressure tuning would be much appreciated, but the biggest thing for me is lack of event variety. FD style tournaments or drag racing tournaments could be really dope. More npc traffic on the highway would be nice too.
Mod support would fix that 😊
I’m so happy they introduced car vouchers, and now we can micro transaction FH6 into the ground
From the ground up you mean
@@LaHalara built from the group up even
Car packs every month and car vouchers yeah the downhill is already near.
@@_viih97honestly, FE cars never really got my attention, because i want my cars to be mine, so driving a pretuned one seems very lame, i respect thoose who use them stock or who use custom builds (to an extent, i despise people who exclusively play the META)
Either way, i'd rather have more customization options than have the FE cars
Actually, Blizzard Mountain/Fortune Island/Rally Adventure feature reverse race layouts. They're just not named "reverse". So I don't think it's a tech limitation.
The map is a big issue with this game, something about it just doesn't click like the others have in the past. Australia was super flat too but somehow it just "felt" better
It may be because this map was designed to accommodate their battle royale mode, hence why it is even flatter than ever before.
australia was flat but it also had numerous areas that were diverse. you had Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, the Outback, the jungle, etc. it felt better because the map quickly changed whenever you travelled.
Australia was mostly flat but I just feel like the map had so much more vibe and life to it and the vibrant colors were great FH5 feels dry.
Even nfs carbon did that .. .they have no excuse they could easily add more content
The fact you consider the game now, 2 years post launch, to be a "complete product" but not at launch speaks volumes.
the map in this game is literally giant cat's toilet
20:20 its actually a bit the case in rally expansion, on sprint races if you see deeper 😅
Now that im here i want to share you my vision, whats the priority for me to change:
- theres some obvious ones like online stability & cheat management, i quickly evacuate them
- car sorting with simple icons or even race icons, they know how to do it with heart mark for favorite so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- also rims sorting, by brand & weight
- better route/level design (it rejoins the idea of elevation/mountain roads, i will add even tighter roads in general), theres so much more to do with inspiration of real road, they know how to do it, look at Guanajuato (btw this is a problem since FH2 for me)
- PI rework, as you said it highly progressed compare to FH4, but it can be better, why anti lag doesnt cost anything, why front wheels size costs so much
- custom ECU/restrictor, to reduce your HP & optimise for top of class (imagine you're S1 802, 3HP left & you are on top of A class 😅)
- also more different turbos size/ pressure tunning like ECU
- speaking of class, i always have had the idea to separate in two, like A2 701-750 & A1 751-800, because cars on bottom class are never used, idk its idea like that
- car meetings, now that we have avatars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- its maybe personnal but the sensation of speed can be better, when im at 200mph, i feel more like im at 150, maybe i played too much F-Zero in my life but, idk if you feel the same 😅
- the test track mode apply to other race tracks is a fucking good idea !
- rear wings... I dont understand, they have custom wings like, X5 FE for hatchbacks, the one from the CLK GTR FE... Idk if its hard to adapt for each cars 😕
- i forgot about car audio, its better but still not enough, i dont feel impressed like i can be in real life, why its not screaming in my ears, so loud that it gives you butterfly in your belly, im sure its possible with better audio mastering
- drift/drag races like it was in ProStreet/Shift, it was perfect, a zone, 3 runs, the best wins
- speaking of drift zones, im for mixed zones, with drift score + chrono, it avoids frustration like the mini mountain road in FH4
- horizon link is cool, i will prefer something a bit like rocket league quick message system, with 4 lines under each direction 🤔
- decals on windows, looks like it works correctly in GT7
- for convoys, since FH4 i always tought about a preferential server system for freeroam, like rp server, drag, drift, cruise,etc...
I will finish my book here, by adding the fact that i think the custom radio could be cool, but at the end of the games life. Groove music was cool with my music, but because of that i dont have that many souvenirs about FH3 OST
Cheers Horizon festival-goers ✌️
Fck u if you drive the bone shaker haha
6:56 i'm sure the new gt3 and rs7 got some interior customisation changing stitching colour on manufacturer paint options
I'm no game dev or liscence manager but I'd think almost all of the visual customizations that weren't bettered could be improved with some generic options changed slightly for the vehicle similar to Forza aero or GTA
Working traffic lights that AI traffic obeys. How come we still don't have that? Turbo Esprit had that on my ZX Spectrum.
Viola!
YES TO MORE NORMAL CARS!! GET MUSTANG ECOBOOSTS IN THERE, V6 CHALLENGERS, CHARGERS, AND CAMEROS!!!!
Lets add some interior customization inspired by Midnight Club LA.
i've been a forza player for years, and im just now getting into modding (never knew there was anything cool offered for forza) so if you're on pc.. and a fan of this game, check out mods for forza like 5.5 sound overhaul.
I wish for the next forza horizon they make it a bit more serious, not so childish dialogues and akward things on the supposed 'stories'
There are events that are grest to play but hearing the dialogues is just annoying.
Not possible. Millennials are terrible writers and corporate shareholders demand the family friendly marvel tier dialogue
it is a kids game man it just has reach with other communities
@@wile123456damn bro you really just have the worst takes of all time.
@@DrivingGod21it’s true tho
@@sparkietrap6257 It's possible to make a PG script that isn't cringe. And accusing millennials for being bad writers and the reason that the stories have cringe writing is hilarious. anyone who thinks an entire generation of people are all the same is just stupid, they are just, racist, sexist, ageist, however you want to put it.
Imagine if all the money and time that was spent in useless clothes and cringey emotes was instead spent in forza aero...
Better sorting would be the best
I want it liverys you downloaded add an option to show for the car you're in or want to check if your own designs
What really annoys me is that it resets the filters every time I leave and re-enter the car show or garage
..
I still think most BMW 6 cylinder engines in FH5 sound wrong... Which leads me not want to drive them...
we need more non-widebody kits for people like me who dislike the look of widebodies.
I want Horizon backstage.
I think my two cents on why they're holding back on windshield decals are that they worry or still can't figure out how to create one without affecting visibility, the game have cockpit view and perhaps the Developers just don't know how to accommodate both
Neons or Underglows on the other hand is puzzling, Forza already have good terms with Formula Drift and Underglows / Neons are quite popular there.
ECU tuning would be awesome and i hope if they ever get to Horizon Nippon they put it in
Great video. but unrelated what ever happened to the car review series? I really liked that series and there's a lot a great cars to review.
He was using it as a Stopgap series when there was nothing else to make content on.
Streaming took precedence soon after the launch of FH5 and now he's just more busy due to baby.
@@kspectre21 Interesting I do like the Streams
@@kspectre21 Also what happened to share code showcase?
@@mrdriver2525 same thing I believe
I still hate most of the map. I just don't find the area in Mexico they chose for the game appealing whatsoever.
Finally, someone that understand the main issue with FH, i thought i was the only one
Is it a drift blueprint race you're driving in the background HokiHoshi?
I'm asking because it is something that i miss.. 😞
The Race is The Goliath, it's one of yhe final races of Horizon Apex in the basegame.
He just made a Blueprint with no AI for it
The one thing I'm still missing is the damn Backstage Pass system, I fully expected it to be added already but I guess they're waiting for EOL.
More visual customization and diverse map with modern city and I'm happy
I highly doubt they'll add ecu tuning because most people who play the game are around 8-12 and adding ecu tuning to make their cars go faster means that they'll be forced to learn it which will be boring for them. It might be a good idea in Forza motorsport tho
the age thing was a guess btw but it's the age range that playground games wants the game to sell to
They will turn up every variable in the ECU for races or just in general . They need to have a down side like possibly blowing your engine which should cost a good amount or actually bricking the ECU and having to buy another one it must cost something to hurt the wallet
@@e46m54nissansr20937 yeah sounds good. I just don't think a lot of people who play fh5 really care about that stuff sadly
Wheels don’t matter to me, but the livery, raw sound, and underglow does
Becker SWE here. Imo FH5 got WAAAY more attention when some staff in the studio got changed and more happened from season to season as well as new cars dropping into the game instead of the old recycling.

I have 2 things I'd really like to see:
1. more difficulty to earn credits.
Damn Hoki that’s some lovely Drifting man nice 👍🏾 by any chance have that drift tune shared? Great Video 😁👍🏾Seasons Greetings 🪅
Pink slip races would be amazing
If they cut the car list I feel like it gets rid of the entire point of Forza- there’s a car for literally every type of person
one thing i wish for in horizon 6 is to be able to swap ford v8 s into ford vehicles rather than only having the LS option for engine swap.
I wish they fix the auction house. It gets old seeing that count down timer increase because someone else bid in.
all the FH5 Mexico map haters clearly havent played Cars for the Wii.
to me this desert-y map gives me huge nostalgia to that game
He almost said the thing!! 25:08
the topgear missions in 4 were better than the entire 5 campain
Honestly the only thing i realy want and wish for since fm4 is beeing able to reduce the hight of the tires and be able to lower car way way more than now. We got the option to make tires taller on some cars so why not be able to make them smaller? I dont want an e36 with 19inch wheels looking like dont but also no 16 inch wheels with baloon tires. So many older cars would look so much better with small wheels and low tire profiles
Different rotary porting mods would be nice... Street, bridge and peripheral ports
Man, if the Horizon series had Custom Radio just like ETS2 has..
19:26 When I start a S1 race using the Diablo GTR there are always other ~5 Diablos and ~5 KTM X-Box GTR 4s
24:52 still they refuse to fix some models and keep adding more , which ain't bad, but then one tries it and can't get good scores due to the game's physics/handling.
Instead of rural Mexico I think a map that combined elements of SoCal and Norcal with some of their great driving roads wouldve been great
That's bearly any distance from the first forza game which took place In Colorado
30:01 no it is realistic. The terraria developer does this and really consistently
on top of that it's just one guy
but for this big of a game, horizon, it might be unrealistic yeah
I hope they going to add ranked racing back in to the game but at this point it is probably highly unlikely
Honestly I’d have liked to see changes to the balancing a lot of the time the pi doesn’t really match the performance of the car and the game gets stale and boring when everyone just awd and engine swaps everything and makes there cars handle almost identical to each other. For example I shouldn’t have to v8 swap the rx7 just bc I wanna win races with it when maxed out without an engine swap it preforms like an a class car mid way through s1
ps i love to see more cars in fh5/6 we buy in real life like ford ka or up mondeo toyota yarris to name a few and i love to see a new ai that dont crash into the rear of your car while racing or dont turn
was nice to listen to, even though I don't play forza.
I disagree on the money. I feel money is so easy to come by.
Fr, people need to learn to flip the "rare" cars on the auction house
Too easy even
Really? H4 was much much worse in that regard, especially since cars were cheaper there iirc
what is this drift map he is using? it looks so fun!
It's just The Goliath, it's one of the final Races of Horizon Apex in the basegame.
If the next Horizon title restricts the starting point and direction of custom route events to the existing race starts, I will be annoyed.
Forza Horizon 5 needs some Volgas and Ladas.
Add some Russian cars.
Car sounds are improved but they are still ass
I disagree with the story part. I find so much of the dialogue annoying.
The ai stink
I wish they would've maybe added NoS. If Gran Turismo 4, 6 and 7 had it, why can't FH5 have it? Its an arcade game, and yet it doesn't really feel like it
I had no idea they said no more toy based DLC after 4. They just love disappointing us
the story was short af and stories are a joke
still waiting for the mid 2000's Infiniti lineup. THEY EVEN ADDED IT TO MOTORSPORT BUT NOT FORIZON LIKE WHY. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Just happy I dodged a bullet for whatever the story was in FH4
I've played them all and put in plenty of hours, but for me, FH5 is more of the same, just prettier. FH6 will need to bring something different. .Just my opinion.
I personally want a more dense map not the huge open world map 😅
If I am honest, I would have enjoyed FH5 a whole lot more if they only threw in 100 cars max but with a whole variety of tuning. Sound, looks, subwoofer, ... all of that. I had the 1000+ cars we get with shitty tuning options...
It doesn’t even feel like customizing. It just feels like I’m changing the stats that’s it.
i love forza
They had the best setting, location etc. for a killer soundtrack but the soundtracks sucks. That was the. It’s disappointed aspect I think.
I want simulation driving to actually be realistic and not partially arcady
Still missing a Pontiac fiero, Ford probe, 90s or early 00s Jetta,
17:30 make FE cars great again.
The map is like the most boring and empty place to be in the world. Even mobile games like CarXstreet has much better map.
so much i love to see in fh6 special if i should buy the game like better designed map factory engine swaps and factory car colors interior colors crew 2 style homes where you could park the cars a used cars dealer with rotating cars better car prices like in fh5 a 124 abarth cost the same as a NEW huracan technica also i love to see more racing modes
The engines in the game feel underpowered to me. A fully built K20a1 should be making at least 800 hp
Forza Motorsport 4 literally has better Forza aero than the new games
We need a new game+ mode in FH5. It received so much new content and no way to enjoy it properly in single player mode :(
Well, Horizon 5 i all about Online play.
The pre-order was a huge mistake that I certainly won't repeat next time.
i want s2 and x class drift online not just c, b, a and s1
PG should look to Test drive unlimited, Project gotham racing 3 and Grand theft auto 5 (The last 4 years of car culture improvements). Car delivery for dealerships, delivery of goods and spots to hang out is a must.
