FYI. Adding a directory to your PATH using the bottom window of System Environment variables, works but I like to leave the bottom values alone and use the top window instead, to ADD a path var. It will automatically be appended to the bottom window PATH var in your cmd window when you "echo %path%" or just type path. Then the top window values make it very easy to see what you've done in the past.

I hooked my Droid Incredible 2 up to the computer and everything but when I type adb devices in the command prompt, nothing comes up. I even booted my phone up in fastboot and still nothing. Also, what did you do to get your android-tools folder? After downloading the other files and extracting them, I have the adt-bundle folder with all the right components, but that's the thing. Do I just simply rename it to android-tools?

I managed to relock the bootloader and was hoping to flash the correct stock RUU onto it so it would be like new.. only problem is I can't for the life of me find the right RUU.. SOLVED. I moved the actual folder "adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20140321" from my downloads folder to the main location on the C drive. Copied and pasted the address again. Ran the CMD exe and Presto!!! Worked like a charm!!

Brandon, nice one, please can you tell me all the steps i need to follow if i want to root my android 2.2. what happened was that it was a branded android and i tried to DE-brand it so i did HARD RESET. But the guide i followed was somehow comprehensive, i don't know may be the guide its not the same with my software, i eventually got hooked. this is exactly what i did: Although i tried to hard reset it so that i will be able to use any network for it, I used QPST2.7.374 for backup a file named osf2.qcn and i also used OSF2 unlock software, in the process of doing restore it gave an error and i was trying to figure it out, i have to remove the tablet from the usb connected to my computer. Afterward, there is no communication between the tablet and the computer, each time i power the tablet on, it shows "CWM-base" and some color lines like yellow, green, blue, purple e.t.c on the screen.
