I grew up with the NES, I had a friend who had a 2600 but it was mostly in the corner. Recently had severe burnout with video games but one day I just decided to go back and try these early systems such as Intelivision and Atari and I'm having a blast playing these games, the pick up and play many cartridges have is just what I need as I don't have a lot of time to divest into gaming at the moment so a game that works a couple minutes at a time is great. Been having a blast playing Solaris and Beamrider.
I love the Dragon Warrior music while presenting Dragonfire. Dragonfire is one of the few games I cannot play with a CX-40. I have to pull out something more rugged.
I've been playing this with a Hyperkin Ranger lately. I imagine a Genesis controller would probably work pretty well; I will have to try that. Thanks for watching!
I still loved kaboom, when you get to those final stages, they are intense!!!! I actually flipped it once, reset it back to slow mode -Adventure -Pitfall -Jungle Hunt -River Raid and...... for me MEGAMANIA!!!! Good timeS!!!!!!!!!!
I love Kaboom! I had never played it when I had my 2600 as a kid, nor had even heard of it, but after I got my 2600+ I saw it in a video on TH-cam, similar to this one, and tried it on my Atari Flashback 12 Gold. I liked it enough that I decided to get a used cart and replacement label from eBay. I love it. It's quite difficult when it gets moving, but it's pretty addictive. Interestingly enough, the cart I got looked just like the one in this video, as in the dark spotting on the original label.
I loved that Atari commercial. I wasn't around in the 80s but that was so nostalgic to see! Kaboom-Looks pretty cool! It's almost like a Breakout where you have to catch the ball. Ha ha, your reactions to Kaboom. I know you're exaggerating for the sake of the video but I feel that! That's how I am when I play games too. Frogger-Oh yes! Frogger is always a classic! Frogger was kinda my first video game I ever had so when I got my Atari, you better believe Frogger was one of the first games I got for it. And yeah it still holds up! Enduro-I think you got that in a box recently didn't you? The visuals reflecting changing the time of day sounded really fascinating I have to get this one. Dragonfire-This is one I've not heard of but this game looks really cool! I'll have to get this one! Haunted House-YES!! I don't know why but I REALLY like this game. I like spooky stuff though so that might be why but I agree, the item placement changing every time you play makes each play through different. There are sometimes where I've beaten a level in under a minute and other times I feel I've explored the whole mansion and can't find a piece. And you know what for 8 bit ghost sprites, there is still a lot of uneasy tension when you play, "oh no! He's right there! Run!" Another great video!
There's just nothing quite like old video game commercials. Definitely check out Enduro and Dragonfire; great games. Every game in this video, except for Kaboom, I actually got in one of my boxes.
Kaboom was awesome, it was actually easier for some reason to only have one bucket. It was a bummer when the paddle controllers started to wear out and go wonky.
you have to be brain-dead to say those were playable games.. atari is the sole reason we evolved - we all knew there was something out there and it was not atari

Great video man! There’s some really interesting ones in this list. DragonFire looks super cool. Classic looking games take me back!🎉🎉🎉
Thanks, dude! Dragonfire is one that I wish I had known growing up, but I'm super glad I know about it now!

@@AggieThunderpaw I meant something like a Slik Stick or a TAC 2. Playing 2600 games with a Genesis controller is unnatural.
@@jeremiahthomas8140 Haha, gotcha! I have a Slik Stick that I just recently picked up but haven't tried it out yet.
that free Pac Man was a system seller.....sadly lol I loved Frogger so much growing up!
We didn't have Pac Man growing up, but we did have Ms. Pac Man which still holds up pretty well to this day.
I knew Pacman was not that good for the VCS, so my parents bought me a Defender bundle. Unfortunately, that was crap as well.
I totally agree with your list! Indeed great games that are still worth playing today.
I hope I can get part 3 out soon! Thanks for watching!
12:01 that's absolutely the first appearance of Meatwad

All of the games you mentioned will be in a future video for sure; great games! Thank you for watching!

Kaboom doesn't make me cuss. Mr Do does. Need to do top 10 cuss video 😆
Hahaha! I like that idea! I'll start making that list...
Dragonfire could have been the first appearance of Trogdor the Burnanator.
Haha! I now accept this as fact. There was definitely some burninating going on here...

Kaboom is one of the all-time greats, for sure.
I remember playing lots of Kaboom. But I dont remember owning a paddle controller to play it. I guess I did.
Kaboom is far and away my favorite.
It’s definitely up there for me.
kool video keepm comming...................peace
Thank you!

tell me you're a millennial without telling me you're a millennial
Related to the Kardashians? Is that your idea of evolved?
