    The answer to the title is Yes, people from LA will never admit it or find an excuse but the answer is yes.

    • @MichaelBrown-ti1un
      @MichaelBrown-ti1un ปีที่แล้ว

      "Find an excuse" is an interesting choice of words lol. You must be a transplant. In that case, just stay north of the 10 freeway and stay out the way. The truth is, Hollywood and the music industry love the gangster sh## in LA, as long as they can control it and market it to the tune of billions of dollars. It's when it gets outside of industry control (ie the Suge Knight types, the unsanctioned "check in" stuff) that it only then, becomes a problem.

    Gang relations hurt hip-hop a lot. Sure, they bring dirty money into the game. But it kills the art.

    LA gang culture is imitated and watered down by commercialism in the industry. We need the opportunity to have the real voices of LA gang culture get heard and we will continue to make progress. Our murder rate in the 80/90s was higher than Chicago, now it’s low. We just the murder Capital for rappers 😂😳

    Everything "Esso" said about moving in L.A., is how I had to move in NYC back in the day, but you still gotta do that OUTSIDE of Manhattan
    When I moved frivolously, I saw robberies, shootings, killings, arrests, fightings, and coochie! It was fun, but dangerous, having a set plan keeps you active, and safe!

    Did he say the tax rate was 52% for the rich out in Cali? That’s getting robbed without a gun

    • @EliteBlackSash
      @EliteBlackSash 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s mostly federal tax and social security. CA State tax is only 14% for millionaires. It’s not the highest.
      - In Cali you have to make 153k to bring home 6 figures after federal and state tax. In Maryland you gotta make 154k. In Oregon you gotta make 156k. In Alaska and some of the southern states, you have to make 137k in order to bring home $100,000 after taxes. Cali pays way more than them states though. When I moved to Cali from the DMV, my same job paid quadruple. We just get taxed like hell, no matter where you live or whose the president, the only escape from it is to have employees. The tax system promotes getting married or contribute to the economy, because all the real tax breaks either come from filing married jointly, having children, or owning a business that employs people other than yourself

      That’s correct for the top tax bracket (400k+ a year), that same applies for NY state as well.

    HipHop was created to end gang beef. Facts. The old gangs of New York got put to rest by HipHop. Nobody banging the old cut sleeve gang anymore. LA Gang culture being exported around the country undid the progress and changed the message from Peace Love Unity and Havin’ Fun.

    Gang culture in LA isn’t as bad as it used to be. Nothing beats NYC in the 80’s though. I read about it. They were doing cartel style deletions in those days. Especially in Brooklyn

    But, please dont act like it was dangerous to come to NYC until 2004. Yall can thank Juliani and gentrification for this Maybury NYC.

    • @RoscoSix
      @RoscoSix 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s different because it’s the original of the home of CRIPS and Bloods . If u had not had homies starting hood out of town and out of towners wood have claimed there own towns own color own ways . Talk there talk and walk . Not California style and u in ATL or North Carolina, Alabama, even New York. Texas.. take the Crip.and blood and Pirus out of there game and hell yes it wood CE or BE different. Stop playing that the biggest problem. It’s played wit and we created some of it behind Money. Out of town Balling. . Keep it 100 💯 the industry would be not what it is without the gangs . The rap world want it to Ce or be Callie at one point. And Soulja Boy, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Birdman, 21 Savage pop smoke rest in peace Lil Scrappy come on man we got robbed.. of our style. The color game change the game and you steal got drama. Y’all know what it do .
