I wouldn't have surprised me,if this poker run wasn't WAS what sold you on buying this awsome. Boat. I really love the set up,wrap and everything you guys did on your current purchase!!! TOTALLY LOVE IT GUYS.
My brother and I have been searching for something the two of us could take out when we aren't running a full crew on our Freeman 42. What stopped us from buying this boat is the small cockpit area. The Costa design team should have put the livewells over top of where the transom hatches are located. Losing that foot or so made the cockpit too cramped in our opinion. Other than that, it's a well built boat.
thanks! can you review a large cat cc....like the 42 Freeman LR .... you are in Florida and so are they! lol, common main...please? I dig the channel, by the way, nice work!
The first of the two boats had a trolling motor mount between the engines. I would like to see more coverage of dual trolling motors in action. Spot lock the front and back of the boat? That would be sick. With tide ripping offshore sometimes one just won't get the job done.
I assume this was filmed before you picked up this boat, as you say that you are thinking things but already own the Costa Cat which is the name after the split of Cayo? Question, why so much water in the bilge and pushing up through the drain of the livewell?
I’m not sure if you have done a review of the Hammercat 35 yet. If you do get a chance, I’d like to know what you think of it. Thanks for the content 😘
What kind of background does this builder have? What is his story? This would make a perfect great lakes boat. Bass in lake st.clair or salmon in lake Michigan. Very nice...
I saw you did a Mahi trip on this boat as a youtube short. can you post that as a normal youtube video. I'd love to see this boat running in 2-4ft seas or at least 1-3
He say’s in the video they were in 3-4-5-6 footers. Like you said correctly this wasn’t even 1-3 feet. He needs to put someone else in charge of the sea conditions report. CCO has great content and videos but the stated conditions they are running in is categorically false.
I’m retired, I make combined with my wife’s retirement , 180k take home. Even with this income 30% down payment, monthly payments, insurance, storage fee and maintenance, it’s cheaper for me to charter a a boat 2 or 3 times a month then going into debt with todays boat prices. If you’re young and making 300k a year. Good for you. But I’m guessing most people aren’t. But… I’d still like a ride in one to make an opinion .
Very nice looking cat and from your video a very smooth, dry ride. How does it compare as far as ride and price to the TwinVee 260 (although the Costa has twice the ponies behind it)?
twin vee 260 was a great boat, they dont make it anymore and are currently re working it into a 260 GFX, i currently own a 28 GFX and love it. Id spend the extra 25k to get the 28 if you have the space for it
@@michiganengineer8621 I live on a canal with an 8 foot bridge during peak summer tides so i was worried the 28 wouldnt fit but Twin Vee lowered my ttop by 2 inches at the factory and youd never notice. Great company to work with honestly. Glad i can get up in the morning look out my windows and see my boat on a lift behind the house
I know it needs to be there, but that crossbar over the helm is just waiting to knock out someone's teeth if they're not paying attention. Very dangerous !
3-4-5-6 footers? That looks like 1-2 feet at most. You definitely don’t surf, and have an incredibly bad read on sea conditions. This is one thing that CCO needs to correct ASAP. The videos are great except for grossly overstating just about every sea condition they are in.

What boat did you go with?
Seat backing around the live tank is very clever. Nice thinking.
Damn yall was dipping..just gliding. That's a sick ass boat.
I’ve seen this boat before. Really nice 26’ boat.
Scooting across the waves!
I love the perspectives you show while underway. It's awesome!
Glad you liked it!
Especially the helm plexiglass shaking in the wind (2:01 mark). Fix that!
Outstanding video brother! Looking forward to the next one for sure!
Dream boat right there, one day hopefully I’ll have the 💰

That’s a sick boat 👍😎
man i wish they made a 23' version of this boat! I want a trailerable cat without the extra loop holes.

Great Vid!
This used to be cayo boats right

Seemed like alot of water in the bilge
What makes it a hybrid cat?
Did the captain get a ticket from the Coast Guard right before you arrived in Miami?
Thats a badass V!!
Why was there so much water in the bilge?
Yah. Noticed this too. Clearly not enough to sink but a good bit.
Pretty sick to see the Fireboat out there another vessel that Yovan also operates.
Want to hear the sound of the engines running, not loud music!!
Is there a video in rough seas?
how's the offshore ride and capability compared to a slightly larger (28-32) monohull like contender or seavee?
What is the performance difference between the 300’s and 300 r?

We’re these the cayo 26 before name switch ?
Yes
got anything on the yellowfin 26 hybrid?
All these videos when the sea is flat
Room for a head in that cat? Don’t see and side door to access interior area inside the console.
Access is through the front over the lounger.
Subscribed. 👍👍👍
Welcome aboard!

Nice boat but not sure a poker run is right place to market a fishing boat..... but then again it does a dual mercury 300

That cayo cat is a damn nice boat, when do they start production ? Or is it by special orders ?
I’m pretty sure they’re a semi custom builder. So this will likely be built to order only.
@@christopherwilde6673 I would like to know, I’m interested in this boat.

How can you tell they are “dual” power poles?
He’s saying he has 2 power poles one on each side
I really like this hull from the first time I saw it. What is the draft?
Believe it’s 14 in
One my my favorite hybrids but the price 😬
Depending on how much work really goes into the hull, plus how many years before yamaha or mercury delivers motors lol
What’s the actual cost? I’ve only heard speculation of a 300k range. Anyone know for sure?
@@spearobrando7056 I’m sure your close. Fun to look at but no way on that price.....
Geez, have you been boat shopping lately? The price of any boat these days is insane.
@@Steelviper61 We bought our Contender for just over 100k in 2018, if we sold it right now it’d be an investment 😂
Top speed?
On this one we've hit 73 but the new one with 300Rs and no top is hitting 78-79.
What’s the price on this boat?
$300K
They start around 200k and can be optioned out to >300k
50 to 60 mph on 4,5,6 footers??? This video doesn't even show a 2 footer!!!
Lmfao
Exactly. A problem with all of their videos. They need a surfer on their crew to provide a real sea condition report.
Why so much water in the bilge? That a newer boat that shouldn't happen.
They only have pricing for the 17 and 18?
Yeah I havent been able to find any pricing on this either

Cayo boats split up and believe the Hybrid Cat went with the new owner named Costa boats now
I know it needs to be there, but that crossbar over the helm is just waiting to knock out someone's teeth if they're not paying attention. Very dangerous !
I'd rather have a Calcutta! 😁
Still don’t get the poker run thing ....spend lots of money to go fast then sit in the marina shooting the BS most of the day
400k for a 26' boat...Hard to justify for me. Everyone else buy them up ill look for one used 10 years from now. ha
Looks like terrible visibility. Too much in the way

matte black piping in Florida... WHY???? hope you like to wear gloves.
Holding up pretty well and hasn't gotten hot on us yet.
The power boats are disgusting.
