It's Charles Dance who played Tywin Lannister on Game Of Thrones. He played the patriarch of a powerful family and played his part well. He was ruthless, but Games Of Thrones was about ruthless power, definitely NFFW or children. 😳 Very well worth watching though. 💯
When the rebel hyenas tore Mahmutsi's daughter's head off and brought it to her, that was THE most savage and gnarly part of this episode! And seeing Matsidi make her first kill of that monitor lizard was epic! And Seha with her new king.. we must keep the Kingdom going!!
Out of all the African predators, Hyenas are the most intelligent. It's very possible and likely that was a deliberate action. Animals are much smarter than historically given credit for. Anyone who's kept animals as pets knows this, of course some animals are smarter than others, just like with humans. One theory as to why they were said to be just "dumb animals" is that when scientists and researchers would do cruel and inhumane testing on them, they didn't want to portray them as feeling, sentient beings. That made it easier to conduct testing without much guilt. But now we know better, some of us always did. 😊👍 Dogs have been shown to have emotions and form deep attachments with other animals and humans. Elephants are also very intelligent and it's believed that they have emotions as well and mourn their dead. Hyenas, bears and other animals are said to have close to primate levels of intelligence. Even some birds use tools to accomplish tasks. Ravens and crows in particular, you can look it up here on YT how they use tools in testing videos. I find it fascinating and very cool. I happen to love reptiles and even they're much smarter than previously thought. Some mother snakes protect their young until their first shed. In some rattlesnake species, the females will remain at the den site for life, with their aunts, sisters, mothers. The males disperse to avoid inbreeding. We had an Iguana for awhile, we had a way to communicate, Iguanas can be moody and they have sharp teeth. The one we had was mistreated as a baby, starved and kept in a much colder environment than they require. It took a long time and much patience for her to start to trust us. She made it known when she wanted to be left alone. If you do your homework and learn about how they communicate and their behavior, it goes a long way towards having a good relationship with them. And of course it's our responsibility as pet owners to learn how to best care for them. Crocodiles and alligators haven't lived for millions of years by being stupid. They're not the smartest animals but they're not stupid either. All animals are capable of learning or they wouldn't survive. Sorry, I just find animals and their behavior fascinating and always have. ❤
Charles dance is hands down THE BEST narrator for these documentaries. amazing episode and amazing ending! please keep doing and posting more of savage kingdom with Charles dance as narrator
The narration in this and others alike are totally fabulous!!! This gentleman’s voice is so inviting and the tone and word usage is absolutely sensational!!! Please ah e more with him!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The best ever...i have been watching animal documentaries since the days of londolozi and untamed Africa but nothing beats this! Kiddos national Geographic!
Ive been watching lion documentary since Vhs tapes, its amazing to see how far they have developed, its like a soap -opera in the safari, still cant believe they beheaded laseti like that
As if I wasn't already blown away at how messed up and dis loyal hyenas can be to each other. They will backstab you at the first opportunity in a heartbeat. Sounds like humans sometimes 😂
The seasons take a minimum of 2 years up to 3 years to film. Just to get certain footage of even 30 seconds can take hours or days. These animals don't stay in place. And in the true wild, outside of protected parks and reserves, it's not easy to find all these animals.
This is the real circle of life. The wild dogs have a hunting success rate of 80%, greater than lions, hyenas, or leopards, but they lose a lot of their carcasses to mostly lions and hyenas. Maybe it's because lions are so popular that I like the dogs more. They can run up to 44 mph for over a mile, but for as long as 3 or 4 miles, they can maintain the speed of 37 mph to exhaust their prey. Also, packs can get really big. Idk how many get this big, but I read that there are some packs with up to 100 dogs.
He did. There's been othet film footage of mother leopards and their young with the father. I think the fathers only kill cubs they think aren't theirs. But I could be wrong. They're still learning. There's footage of jaguars being together, the mother, cubs and father too.
Even though the hyenas are antagonists in this series, I sympathize with Mamutsi in this episode. I hope she gives the traitor hyena a taste of his own medicine and avenge her daughter. I also don't appreciate how hyenas are always made the villains, since they're my favorite African animal, but at least it keeps the story interesting.
What amazes me most is how fast those little piglets can run and the ant hills are the size of houses. 😂 everything in Africa is bigger and faster than anywhere world. It’s just like the lakes and oceans. Everything In the sea is 10 times faster than in the lakes. This is the big leagues.
So, Pula's last battle was againts this blue-eyed cannibal father of her daughter. I don't think the baboons killed her, they witnessed the fight. The leopard mother, upon retreating in her last safe place, died of fatigue due to old age & wounds. How I love & missed Seba & Pula's leopard's maternal side as single parents.
Has the narrator won any award. Hands down best narrator of these type of documentaries

I don’t even know how that’s possible
Rip her cubs

I didn’t know hyenas got down like that. Tore her head off and brought to her mom?!?!? Insane
Hyenas are the most intelligent of the African predators. Ruthless move indeed. 👍💯

Dogs rule. My favourite too. They are loyal to each other and share their kills rather than try to muscle in and hog it all.
The way the hyenas bully the little runt KILLS ME!
Is it me or the Narrator is just a god?
Sheesh! 😍😍😍

I miss SEKEKAMA AND TORN NOSE. THEY ARE 17 now. Sekekama’s son’s, Seketee and 2 brother’s eventually dethroned both Sekekama and Torn Nose.
I'm life, I'm death I give All but take.... I'm THE SAVAGE KINGDOM
Best what Nat Geo Wild has to offe

Baboons!
Motshidi's mom was killed by baboons. Male baboons have very large teeth and the top males will attack and kill a leopard to keep their troop safe.

PICTURES OF PREDATORS NEVER COME BORING
I thought the middle leopard mom died from “old age!”
Yes she did, I think the baboons took advantage of her weakness and killed her
So, Pula's last battle was againts this blue-eyed cannibal father of her daughter. I don't think the baboons killed her, they witnessed the fight.
