    The most amazing dog.
    Extreme loyal, intelligent, clean.... Just incredible dogs.
    Had my vizsla for almost 17 years, never been sick. Never ever I had such a good friend in my life. Miss my "Hercules" very very much. He passed away due his very old age in my arms.

    You forgot to say that they are clean as cats and have very little doggie odor. Also, they have a peculiar way of communicating with a distinct yodel-type sound. They LOVE stuffed toys and love to cover up with a blanket. My Vizsla would cover herself up completely with a blanket until no part of her was visible. They are known for staying close to their owner when out in the field or on the trail. They have a very soft mouth and love everyone they meet. My Vizsla absolutely adored my two grandchildren. They were her babies. I was blessed with my Bryn for 13 years and it broke my heart to lose her. It’s been a year now and I’m still not over it but I am very much looking forward to getting another puppy.

    We had a Vizsla. Lily was a very affectionate dog. She would sleep with her head on my feet. She only lived 6 yrs as a greyhound attacked her, causing gram negative septicaemia which damaged her heart and kidneys. She died 15 months later from kidney failure. I'd love to get another one but my husband doesn't want to feel the heart ache of loss again.

    I would like to hear breeders educate potentially on the amount of energy the Vizsla has. If they don’t get exercise they will have behavior problems.

    • @lizzroxx7983
      @lizzroxx7983 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, I agree. You need to train and exercise them. Otherwise they can be very destructive. But they love to learn. :)

      That's because it is not 100% true. They thrive more on mental stimulation than physical exercise, they do not need as much physical exercise as people might think, they are nothing like german short/wired haired pointers. Stop trying to make people think you have to run a triathlon to own one!

      Stop misquoting people and learning reading comprehension skills. They need exercise no one said anything about extreme excercise or a triathlon. All high energy dogs need regular exercise. Dumbass

    You ask about funny habits? Plenty too funny habits. Keep close watch when you go to a large open off leash grassy field or park!! They want you to run with them and to get ya goin look out! They will run at you almost clumsily or aimlessly but actually are precise and will run at folks knees that are with them!! Super funny however but you can train them not to do that for those with weak knees.
    They love to rear up to you. They fool ya too. Come right up to your hand and you go to pet em on the side of the ear or next to their neck and look back down and your petting their butt or hips! Hilariously ingenious. When multiple Vizsla's run together, they will lick one or the others jowls as a sign of friendship and submission. Our boy Wyatt could snore with my Grandad!

    Nick could never make up his mind whether he was a dog or a cat. That said, take him to our beach off season and just let him go. Only thing he ever did was destroying my Red Sox hat the first time I let him alone in the house for a half an hour. Very affectionate, miss him much. Our bed is empty without him.

    No, MY Vizsla is the BEST! She is a dog I picked up from animal control. She is a mixed breed. BEAUTIFUL with Maybelline eyes ( you know, the dark eyeliner). She is expressive in face , body , tail and voice, Fastest runner EV- ER! She sleeps with me. Many beautiful shade of golden or reddish brown in her fur. I have had rescues of different breeds and I LOVE them all. I have also had purebred shelites, and a purbred rescue chow. My Vizsla mix is even prettier than purebred Vizslas- just say’n. She is around 40 lbs. Her ears are a bit smaller than purebreds. She has been an excellent traveler by car and plane. She is a cuddle bug, She wants someone to chase her, so she will steal toys to prompt that. She is very smart. I do cover her with a blanket.

    Don’t forget 1.5 h of exercise everyday, or they eat your furniture. If u don’t have the time or u r lazy get another dog. There is no lazy Sunday or something. They also follow u everywhere. U can’t just put them in the garden, it doesn’t work. U would need 2 to do that.

    • @Itsaboutthejouney
      @Itsaboutthejouney 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That could not be further from the truth. We have two and we do not excersize them any where that long. Most days we don't leave the house but when we go to the ranch we do hike all the time. But 1.5 hrs a day is insane!

    • @dianebrett720
      @dianebrett720 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, we've got 2 and we still can't leave them out. Tried it a couple of times and they trashed the vegetable plot. They do love their veggies, but now we have no cauliflowers or carrots or strawberries or anything!

    Sorry, but where did this info came from that Germans were killing Vizslas? Hungary was ally to Germany in both world wars, so why would they be killing them? I have never heard this. Didn't you mean maybe Russians?

    • @JFoley123456
      @JFoley123456 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No the Germans would kill Vizslas because they wanted German pointers to be the main hunting breed in Europe. Typical Nazi tactic of everything must be German

    • @zoltanmarmorstein1540
      @zoltanmarmorstein1540 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JFoley123456 The Germans didn't hurt the Vizslas. The Russians killed the Kuvasz (very similar to the Great Pyrenees) because the soldiers couldn't loot them.
