@L PJM - OMG!! I so agree!! I think they'd really find it hilarious as well!!! Jimin is so amazingly beautiful both inside & out!! But he's also got such immense talent that many have barely even begun to see yet!! There is so much more to him then most even are aware besides being just the Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist!! Haha!!

Jimin could definitely hold a class teaching game lolll! This is definitely a very different kind of song too... Not just straightforward flirtatious. He's saying he can be whatever you need him to be in order to get your interest, in order to make you like him... But by the end he's saying that he's become the standard that defines your tastes... It's very Park Jimin.

The lyrics are deeper than you realise. They actually have multiple meanings. He's talking about prejudices and they way people view him and create who they think he is in their heads.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. When I first heard that song I thought it as incredibly sexy, and while I still think that (ugh that voice), the lyrics certainly give it quite a bitter flavour. With the hype in recent years, shippers, and crazy obsessive fans I can't imagine what it must be like to have millions of people think they know you, just because they have painted a certain picture of you in their head. That's legit why fans get angry when they get info about their idols that don't fit their perception.
Although, I must admit that I quite like how he processed that in Filter. He's basically telling people he's very aware of them dismissing whole aspects of his personality in favour dreaming him up.

I read somewhere where that the lyric "I can be your Genie How 'bout Aladdin?" is basically him saying that he can let you take control (Genie) or he can be the one in control (Aladdin).

I love this song because I think he's talking about his persona as an idol, except that he doesn't struggle between it and the real him anymore. Instead, he's completely confident in his ability to transform into various characters and still be able to entrance anyone regardless of standards and preferences. To me, this is the representation of his maturity as a performer. He acknowledges that his fans are the ones that "made" him, which is true because we're not falling in love with him, we're falling in love with the *idea of him* that we've formed in our heads. He's not exposing or hiding himself away, he's simply putting on an artificial filter that can be taken off when the performance is over, and he doesn't have to lose any part of himself. He can be a Genie and grant all of your wishes, or he can be Aladdin and manifest anything he wants.
It's just a really unique song and I'm glad that you guys had a great time listening to it. Stay healthy 💜
