This song made me realize that anime openings are also a kind of an advertisement for a band's song and other works. Watching kuroshitsuji and listening to this song every next episode made me want to delve into the wonderful song writing of "the gazette". Listening through their newer stuff now while in quarantine made me want to look back to the first song that I've heard from them and fall in love to.
true, a lot of jrock bands i listen to come from some kind of anime opening
I discovered them through a fanart on deviantart back in 2008 while I was searching for kakashi fanarts. I've been a fan ever since.
This started with early 2000 animes before that most of the songs were mostly composed for the anime and I suppose it became more expensive than paying a band for credits and promote each other and producing singing and voice acting talents also helped reduce costs for in solo idols and group Idols like im@as or idk Youjo Senki

I got into Buck-Tick through Shiki and it took me over two years and a comment I came by on TH-cam to realize I should check out their other songs. I would have never guess they were a great deal in the industry. So generally yes that's the deal. All of the Japanese music I know comes from anime.

学生時代土下座時代めっちゃ好きだったけれど、仕事忙しすぎて音楽全く聞かなくなっちゃって、でもこの曲がたまたま聞こえてきてまた戻っちゃった想い出が詰まった曲。
今聞いてもやっぱかっこいい。れいたさんのベースもっと聞きたかった。
私が小学校５年生の頃にリリースされたCassisを初めて聴いて好きになり、沢山の曲を聴かせていただきました。中学の頃ベースを始め、特に玲太が好きでした。どうか安らかに。
今回の訃報を聞いて真っ先にこの曲が思い浮かんだ…黒執事Ⅱは録画して見ていましたが毎回オープニングを飛ばさずに聴くほど好きな曲でした

I was listening to Gazette almost 10 years ago, but forgot about the band when distanced myself from the anime subculture. Today yt algorithm suggested me a video on host clubs in Japan which lead me down the rabbit hole of J-culture and reminded me of this band. Crazy coincidence that Reita passed away just a few days ago
I know how you feel. I’ve been a huge fan of this band since I was in my early teenage years, and now that Reita’s passed on, I know that they’ll give him the forever he dreamt of. One day, I’ll see The Gazette live in person. Whenever that day comes, I’ll cherish it with every last part of my heart and soul. I know I will. May Reita rest in peace, may Gazerock continue on, and may The Gazette last forevermore.

I'm almost 18 now and time and time again I come back to J-rock when life gets rough. I remember being 13 in middle school and screaming Shiver lyrics whenever it played on Kurojushitsuji. Thanks to that anime I found my favorite J-rock band and a genre that will always have a place in my heart! Sixth Guns forever!!!!
