    I purchased the plastic cover but it didn't work with my 1971 VW Super Beetle. Thank you so much for making that template available for download, I got it already . Really appreciate it! Great video

      Correct, the Standard Beetle Wire Covers do not fit Super Beetles. Glad we could help!

    Thanks JBUGS for all the content. Love getting my parts from JBUGS. 3:00 As an alternative to splitting paper hoses I used 2 1/2" defroster hose. It's the old school accordion style hose. Worked perfect in that there was no splitting and it covered all the little vent holes in the elbows. Just four zip ties and done. Looks good too.

      We split the side hoses so removing the fresh air box would be easier if need be. As there is only a 1.5 to 2 inch gap in between the box and the side vents, using a hose without a split can be difficult.

    You all are creating a MONSTER!!! My 74 Super was hit a couple months ago, (front end damage ) and I'm waiting for the hood to come in. The rest of what I needed I got from JBugs, and watching this video makes me think I can do this work myself, which I'm prone to think without any encouragement anyway. I need to replace both fenders, the hood, the center link and anything else you can think of, but after this video, I think I got this. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🧑🏾‍🔧🧑🏾‍🔧🧑🏾‍🔧🧑🏾‍🔧

      You got this, no problem! There are a bunch of aspects of this restoration that I hadn't done before and I managed! I only know what I know from experience and research. You're getting the research part handled, soon enough you'll have the experience!

      No hay mucho que mostrar, las ruedas son ruedas BBS de 17x7 con un desplazamiento de 55 mm. Los adaptadores tienen un grosor de 25 mm, de 5x130 a 4x130, que procedemos de Europa. Todo es algo bastante común, pero no común en los estados.

    My 72 super doesn't seem to have a seal channel on the hood. Not even rusted out bits: there was no sign of it so I didn't know they were missing. I just had the whole thing painted though. Any ideas on how to get the rubber properly installed without welding new channels in?

    • @Sam_Mebane
      @Sam_Mebane 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We offer a VW of Mexico style hood seal www.jbugs.com/product/P10-300.html that installs on the bottom side of the hood. The only problem with using this seal on a Super is the inner hood bracing at the front of the Super hood doesn't allow the seal to be installed all the way around the opening. A "universal", glue on/stick on seal might be an option if the lip on the body is in good enough shape.

    Why not color sand and polis before so you don't get polish built up in all the seals?
