You got to come to Northern Vermont. Much great content. Plus, we have a General Dynamics as well.
We also have a building close by GD company that is listed on the internet as Remaxx, but they are actually a government contracted facility with armed security. I was told by security that they basically shred papers there. There is also an OnLogic facility. Two now actually. All in very close proximity to the airport. Very strange.
I can never hear General Dynamics without thinking of the show Eureka.

Dispatch here in my area are everyday citizens and thus don't have legal training to give out legal information.. So it's not on the dispatcher but their lack of training..
So we, the people, need to step up and vote in those that will change the structure and educate those positions..

When the caller said "he is on the sidewalk" dispatch should have informed him there is NO crime and should NOT have lied to the officer about his location.

He didn't say anything false. He stated what was happening.
Auditor did give him a hard time (rightfully so). He stated the guy was on public property.
The dispatcher made a false report to other officers.
Not that he could know that at the time. Best not to jump to conclusions.

It's amazing that people are permitted to call the police and give a false report without consequence. It would be extremely helpful if dispatchers asked if anyone saw the suspect on the property before they dispatch officers to the scene, even if the caller says that someone was on their property unannounced. That way the person who claims there was a trespass is held accountable.

Security is empowered to observe and report, not to engage with people in public and question them while refusing to ID. If they rudely choose to do so they deserve an abrupt but polite response.

I like the fact that Officer Flint seemed annoyed by the fact that people had called the police for a non-crime. It's this sort of citizen, the callers, that waste public funds for nonsense. It's long past time for 911 dispatchers to be better trained to filter out nonsense calls. Remember, 911 is for EMERGENCIES. Someone standing outside your property taking videos and photographs is NOT AN EMERGENCY. Dispatchers need to ask pertinent questions such as #1: Are they on your property? #2: Have they broken any laws? #3: Is there anyone in imminent danger? #4: If all they are doing is taking pictures and videos, there is no need for a police presence!
