After watching I'm thinking of upgrading to UDP and adding the acs712 as I have on a couple of rare occasions lost usb connection for no apparent reason. A couple of questions - Is it totally necessary to use a network switch/router or can the ethernet cable be plugged directly into tablet? How is the acs712 wired into the PCB (assuming yours is v2?) Is there a diagram on the forum? Thanks 👍
Hey Jim love your videos If all you have is the steer box on udp, no switch required. Gps still can come in on usb. But if adding panda or section control switch is needed. I ran usb for a year, udp just works. Acs712 gets placed in series with motor output wire. Then the analog output wire goes to A0 of the nano.

Actually ignore that. After some research ive just discovered that i'm running the old ino and agopengps! I cant keep up! Ill have another go when i'm all updated
@@jimsfarming7792 That has also been my problem, keeping up with AOG. Put PANDA on your list too, the stability is fantastic. But IP Networking for farmers is still a great video Idea.
I use 12A 12 to 24V converter, full stall current for the 24V phidgets 3269_3 is 10.8amps. Your tight but i think it will work no problem, the rest of the box pulls about 400ma not including the GPS. Realistically you will never get close to full stall with the motor, unless you jam the motor 100% full stop for some time, with the ACS712 sensor added you will never go over. I've only blown 10A fuse once and was really trying hard to do it.
Yes trying to get it working with the PRO700. If you own a 150, 250, 500 sell them while you can not a big enough market. Especially when AOG is so cheap, and so much better.
@@potatofarmer get a similar project I'm trying to work on but instead of using any GPS receiver using a greenstar receiver with the pro 700 and nav 3. Already have to run it on the tractor for the corn planter. I have little ways to go though before I get to where you're at.
@@carsondaly1521 Im not a fan of Starfire its overpriced substandard equipment. Ublox runs much more precise circles around Deere, and with no unlocks for $400. RTK is not a $9500CDN unlock with $1300 unit /year subscription with ublox, unlike Deere. But still it sounds like you will have your hands full integrating Navcom to Trimble through CAN.

So far no heat issues, the nano and most electronics are good to operate to +80C. Box only draws 400mA, not much heat created.

Hello, the converter from 24v to 12v. How many amps is it? I just bought a 10 amp. It will be enough??

Can I ask exactly what board you used? I tried a teensy 4.1.....couldnt get it to load in Arduino. Did you use nano? Or possibly provide me a link
This video is pretty old already, its a V2 with a Nano.
All Panda boards so far use Teensy 4.1
