This is the first Valaverse figure I've wanted. I'm glad someone finally made a Remington 700/M40/M24 bolt action sniper rifle. It seems like all the sniper rifles we've had have been based on the newer generation chassis systems, but I'm old school. I also prefer the woodland style camo compared to all the desert themed figures we get these days.
Thank you for watching! And I know what you mean, I feel like since that movie, "Navy SEALS" came out in the 90s, everyone thinks the Barrett M82 is the standard sniper rifle. I was impressed the majority of Classified stayed away from that - with the exception of Shooter's rifle. I hate that thing. A hand cannon that size and they didn't put a bipod on it. What I want to get is a sniper set-up for one of my Cobra Officers with an SVD Dragunov, like what the old 3.75" figure used to be packed with.
A technique I do with clothed figures is that I wet the cloth, put it on the figure, pose it and mold it so thst when it dries, it drapes down the figure naturally like how it should it real life
Thank you for watching! And thank you for the tip. I think I'll try that. Sounds like that's all I need to take care of my one hang-up with this suit. Wetting the hood and molding it to the head...I'd really like to get rid of the cavernous hood look.
Thank you for watching! You know, that's something I never thought of. With the masked head, instead of army building you could make him a nameless spotter for Blowback. Good idea!
Great review. Seeing your pics of the figure without the ghille suit and with the balaclava mask, I really wish they sold them separately. I like the camo pattern and would have liked to have gotten a couple of the figures for army building. I did order this but really don't have any interest in the ghillie suit or sniper rifle.
Thank you for watching! When I was playing around with the figure in his "infantry" load-out, I wondered how many people would actually try to army-build a deluxe figure like this. It's a pretty hefty price tag for that, but I have to admit that camo pattern REALLY puts the standard green shirt army builder to shame.
I found this one is way too fragile and the weapon and case is just not worth the money. Maybe if they did something with the hood at least it would be better. I just used some pipe clearer wire and hot glue to make it fit better. Get a white one and paint it to match the colour.
Thank you for watching! And I'm curious; what makes this one too fragile to you? I saw your comment on the GI ghillie suit and it's interesting to me that I had the opposite take. I thought the GI suit was the delicate one, mainly because of the stands shedding every time I tried to put it off or on. I do like that idea about the pipe cleaner though! I may try that!

Cool review!! Eye too am enjoying my deluxe Blowback figure. Will most likely order another to be the spotter.
