    He is one of the few men in my lifetime who has allowed to examine what I thought (past) I knew by wiping my slate clean of loaded thoughts and senseless thinking. Now I function from feeling, mindfulness and observation.

    2-3 years after arriving in the USA (1990), I was robbed at the gunpoint. At that time I did not understand the significance of that experience for me. I considered it a dreadful thing. Years later I realized that it was one of the best things that could have happened to me :) Why? For years my mind resembled a NIAGRA FALLS - a constant flow of thought. That evening, when I heard behind me the click of the reloaded handgun... my mind FROZE. NO THOUGHT was PRESENT at all. ALL my actions were just PERFECT. The robber got maybe 20 bucks in one-dollar bills, but $100-150 I had in my shirt's pocket I saved. I remember the moment when my thinking came back and with it .... shaking of the body, stupid thoughts .. etc. I had my PROOF that thinking is not needed to act RIGHT. Now, at 55 my mind is not in control. I AM. Peace in "the head" is a priceless thing. J.K. is absolutely RIGHT !!!

      Amazing story! Very good example of what JK is talking about and that no matter how serious we deem a situation, overthinking it is not guaranteed to help. Like you said, you did everything perfectly without having to clog your mind with thoughts. Thanks for sharing!

      K has said : I do not think - All thought is destructive Truly this is the state of his mind ;he is beyond thought ( psychologically) Also he loves in a state where time and space do not exist For this refer to "Poems and Prables" He is a man of hyperbolic dimensions

      There was unconscious thought when he was robbing you, and the thought was "save as much as you can and do as he telling so that he doesnt shoot because i want to live." Kids wont do that because they dont have memory about how to handle that situation. Your act came from subconscious thought. You can not act without a thought.

      Rather: making children aware that they are able to perceive life, « beyond thought ». Beyond all division. Thought is invited to come to an end, to remain behind, silent, at its designed place. Ordinary thinking is a pathology of the brain-machine-cage. Yet, the brain can be revivified.

    Accident-->experience-->knowledge-->Memory-->thought

  • @discoteque7768
    @discoteque7768 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    1. Experiences are registered in the brain as knowledge.
    2. Knowledge is rooted in the past, making it unable to fully grasp the ever-changing nature of reality.
    3. Memory is the outcome of knowledge (past experiences), therefore it is subject to distortion by emotions, desires, and biases. It traps us in repetitive patterns, limiting our ability to engage with the present moment freshly.
    4. Thought operates within the boundaries of memory, preventing access to the new or unknown. It categorizes, analyzes, and fragments our perception, leading to division and misunderstanding.
    Awareness and attention, on the other hand, enable direct perception without the filters of thought.

      I don't believe AI does that. Machine learning algorithms have become adept at simple sets of things. AI that recognizes fruits exist, but they can't describe the taste meaningfully. AI is generating art, but requires training with human art, and the original training images are derivable from the algorithms. No AI can build on a large group of such algorithms usefully, or synthesize a meaningful new understanding. At every point, we understand what an AI is doing, or can deduce logically its working within a defined framework of human-provided experience.
      I think I talked my way around to understanding your point.

    • @flafaloon
      @flafaloon ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the point was missed, all thoughts are imagined. They build the world we live in, form the stories we have, theories and language, but it’s all thought based.
      Life, is lived. not thought, what we are, is being/life consciousness, not a thought idea of a person. Thoughts are the root of our troubles because they are limited. It takes a lot of thought work to realize that thoughts are fake, (lol) and then you realize the big root thought of a personal self is the biggest BS of all time. There is nobody here, only what Is. It’s not describable. Any word or talk of reality is a reproduction and misses truth. It’s absolutely incredible revelation.
      You just started your sentence with “I don’t believe” think about that.. you have the power to believe whatever you want, but it can only be secondary to truth. What really is, has no cause or explanation, thought makes up stories.

    I am glad J.K. realised it is important to record the talks. A few days listening to what he says is not enough to break the conditioning. I often return to listen to random talk of his.
    EDIT:
    The thought, product of experience, is limited to what one knows. Then to know something one needs to see it as a whole. Is it possible to see a problem or one self as a whole. What it means to see oneself as a whole? What part in it plays knowledge needed to use tools, inanimate objects.

      I wouldn't get hung up on that. If you truly see the truth of what he's saying, you are Krishnamurti, or he's you. Truth doesn't belong to him or to you or to anybody, and is not subject to agreement. But tip your hat to K: HE started this absolutely necessary, urgent and self-effacing discussion, all these decades ago.

    K was certainly on to something. His talks are my first choice of listening. He believes the world is “corrupt.” He often begins on that premise. But he’s wrong. Never has the world been a better place to live. By almost every scientific measure of wellbeing, humanity is prospering when measured by past indicators. We are healthier, wealthier, and wiser. Yes, there is suffering in this world, but you can’t name a time when there was less. Humanity is improving. Maybe not as fast as it should, but we are going in the right direction. Thanks

    • @einbed7600
      @einbed7600 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, thanks to the very same scientific & technological advances, the slaughter has kept pace. That is why the century with the biggest achievements was also the century of the bloodiest wars fought with the most horrible weapons. Another thing that has predictably kept pace is the posturing. And obviously this contradiction continues, because, what is there to stop it?

    Yes, artificial intelligence (the one before, now or the one to come) is more of the same... It is the hegemony of thought, whether it is thought by the machine builder or by the machine that has thought the builder...
    It is evident that to elucidate what will happen in the immediate future is very appealing (there are many spaces on the Internet where thought takes new forms, astrological, etc.), but it still feels more of the same, the absolute rule of space-time, which implies, curiously, the impossibility that it itself is observed. The split observer, fascinated with new forms to analyze and pursue.

    Thought is not the same as the act.
    The act of thinking can be compared to a stone rolling down a hill,
    leaving a trail behind.
    Even though it can't see where it's going, the act of thinking feels like it's in control because it's marking the trail behind.
