    2:39 Players change ball all the time by throwing it away. Jang Woojin was polite enough to hand it over and then ask. The umpire refusing is ridiculous !!

    Amazing performance by both athletes! The rallies were epic, and the sportsmanship was great to see. Well done, Jang and Franziska! 🏓💪

    Terrible referees, firstly, they refused to change the ball, after which Woojin missed the serve because he knew that the ball was bad, and secondly, how can Franziska cover a serve with his shoulder if he serves it forward by turning his whole body?

    7:24 How can she tell the ball is hidden by his shoulder? She has to be viewing it from the vantage point of Jang Woojin to tell. Arbitrary call if you ask me.

      that is true, only Jang's vantage point matters; however, she called from the side where the ball is always in view, and is more likely to be correct than if she called from the blind side. For example, in that point, Jang was on her blindside and if she called him, that would be more questionable as to whether it was simply the vantage point or not.

    It's interesting to see that People called Chinese players cheaters when they serve foul, however when it comes to others players serve foul ppl said it unfair and made excuses for them.

    11:44 What can't the umpire actually justify her decision? All she responded with was "continue play". This was so rude and incompetent at the same time.

      Its rude for sure, but she wasnt wrong. It works like: Im umpire, you did something wrong, I pointed at that. You are not supposed to argue at all. Umpire can punish you with the score from the very first case. On the other hand umpire can just warn you on the first time and punish on second, its up to her. She did just like that

      actually that was EXTREMELY professional of her. No justification is ever needed. The umpire decides all the lets and points and time issues at the end of the day. There is no amount of arguing that will help. It is no different from arguing with a police officer, even when the police officer or umpire is in the wrong, it will go nowhere and you'll get a yellow card for holding up play.

      @@chimysharki think a better word to use is disagreeing or reasoning with. referees or cops should be receptive to people who try to reason with them since they can be wrong in their judgement. that is why we have appeal in judicial system after all.

    • @chimyshark
      @chimyshark 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@whatever5575 but there is no disagreeing or reasoning with the umpire, it doesn't matter even if the umpire is wrong, there is nothing they can do, it only wastes time, the only thing to do is play the next point, and the umpire said to do just that. Appeal processes take place after the fact. Onsite, there is NOTHING you can do, besides waste time.

      @@chimyshark so you want players to accept everything even if it was wrong at the moment? it's not a waste of time if it can be brought to attention that judges can make mistakes and given enough publicity, they most likely will take measures to fix it.

    The referee's attitude toward Jang Woo-jin is very unfair, and the audience continues to burst the camera flash in every other game, and it is the worst attitude of the referee and the audience.
