This tournament proves that there are plenty of amazing players behind the great wall of Egyptians. Makin, James and Rosner are on top of my list now. Coming from an Egyptian so no bias 😅
@@saifek3860 Egypt has only been on top of the game for the past 4-5 years. As compared to Australia, Pakistan and England, egypt still has a lot to prove for its dominance in squash
@@ngzijian14 What are you talking about mate? What 4-5 years??? Oh.. You mean Ahmed Barada who won 4 british junior open titles from 1991 till 1994 and got the world number 2 title in 1998 and i guarantee you if it wasnt for his injury he would have had alot more titles now... Or you mean Ashour? Ashour who won the world junior squash championship twice or when he got the world number one in 2010.. And I dont want to go to Elshorbagy or the legend Sherbana because you already know that Egyptians faught hard throughout the years to reach the level they are in right now so dont bullshit me about no 5 years...
@@saifek3860 just because only 1 egyptian dominated the game in the 90s doesn't mean egypt is up there yet. In the 2000s, we had Shabana, Darwish and Ashore. Which is still only 3. In those era, England was infact the more consistent country compared to Egypt with the likes of Matthew, Willstrope , Barker, Lee Beechille, Marshall and the LEGENDARY Peter Nicole who definatly achieved way much more than Barada ever had. Outside of england we had more consistent players like Power, lincole , Gaultier, White and Palmer. To say that Egpyt is dominating, u gotta have egyptians winning every tournaments consistently and have the world's top 10 be mostly egyptians, WHICH they only achieve these results in the recent 5 years. Look back at the 1970s, the top 8s in most major tournaments are made up of ONLY Aussies and in the 1980s its mainly made up of the Pakistanis. THIS IS THE DEFINATION OF DOMINATING WORLD SQUASH
This entire event was a mere formality. Though there were a lot of great individual performances, no one was going to challenge Egypt's depth. This will only get worse in the coming years with guys like Gaultier, Willstrop, Selby, Pilley, and Rosner all well into their 30's.
How are the 3 players on either side matched off? It looks like a random draw from the set of 3 players chosen for the days play. If it were based on current ranking, Farag would have played Wilstrop
That was a disgraceful end to the first match! No doubt Declan James could have hit that ball from behind. It didn't have to be a winner. Should have been a let. It was without doubt one of DJ's best matches.
Declan James surely is going to be a strong top5 player in a few years, so much potential !
He has the full package.
@Lisa Baner We will see Lisa. The Egyptians rate him highly.
nah hes trash
I'm so proud. Way to go Egypt

Lets not forgot Gaultier , Pajares , Kandra and Coll :))
Shame they couldn't all be on the same team together. They should change this event to Egypt vs. the World.
@@abdiver12 😅😅😅
If there were 4 Egyptioan teams, three of them would probably reach the semis
Farag, Gawad, Abouelgar
Elshorbagyx2, Mossad
Momen, Desoukky, Zahem
and Hesham can't even get into one of the teams
Quite possibly. There’s plenty strength in depth
Four actually lol
Tremendous heart, composure and strategy by BOTH English players! Dec James is the hero of the tournament to me. But, y'know - Egypt.
Honorable mention: Joel Makin
Congratulations Egypt, Amazing team as usual!
Congratulation to Egypt & hard-luck to England...both nations won 5 times the World Squash title...
Congratulations pharaohs!
Hope this level is James's new standard.
Egypt's reign for sure wasn't untested this tournament. So well earned by them.
Best I’ve ever seen Declan James play.
what an amazing first match...!
Declan James is all class. Acknowledges when his opponent hits a lovely stroke and gracious in defeat. Future Champion
total dominance by the Egyptians
Weeeee are a champions my friends EGYPTIAN YES
As always, Egypt is the best!
When you say always, I am sure you mean only in the very recent 2-3 years of the game my friend. :))

England ,take care of mo salah plz
We love you alot 💓🇪🇬
Egyptian 👍👍
💓🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬
why is the volume so low in these videos
England dressed as egypt, egypt dressed as england
nah,we dressed like egyptian
England did really well in this tournament!
Does anyone know why France and Wales share the 3rd place?
I wish we'd seen a nice battle between them !
They don't have playoffs for 3rd and 4th
viva egypt
great stuff from dec james, a lot of promise for the next couple of seasons ahead

We've got Declan, Makin, Coll !
When the ad volume is twice as loud as the volume of the actual video, sort it out PSA. 😒
The pressure of the moment looked intense and England had a little look but not quite there.
What is the order of play?
Cool guys. I just dropped them off at the airport.
We are much obliged
@@mememe107 you're welcome
What a shame for commentators, please have the heart to say something good for Egyptians...
Joey is biased & is always criticizing the Egyptian crowds
Yeah it was obvious. But naturally as they are English

More Egyptian dominance in the coming years if the recent Junior Open is anything to go by
Correct

Based on rankings when the teams were announced, at which point Waller was England #1
So Willstrop-Momen was just not played?
Yup, as the tie was already won
Declan played great against much better player than himself 🙂
Declan nr 1 in future....
Great job
And fairness....british😎👍 inventors of squash😎🇱🇺
The fact that inconsistent referee decisions dictated the match its a bum
Great matches, shame about the blatant biased commentary - from a neutral party...
Looks like commentators are paid by British Old Style federation than WSF, also with funny accent and rubbish expressions.
It's always been the case and it still is the case.

Agree... A let could be the correct call.
There's no chance he could've. He was facing the back wall.
Only way he could have hit the ball was with a reverse boast, which gawad was not in the way of
Seems the ball had hit James's leg before Gawad was in any line of play
The ball hit James before he had any chance of playing it. Clear No Let to me.
let ball all day fo me at 8:20
4:47
British wins no where be it squash, tennis or football, so commentators try to balance it out by silly commentary lol
It's funny how the English commentators are so biased, how could you not be ashamed of being that unprofessional lol
Farag's cross courts are very average for a world number 1, that's where rosner was all over him
He's been out for quite a while...
So bed from Waller.
First
Need to keep those Trump ads on Fox
Batamizon Ali farag ko kyun jitaya!?🤬🤬
Poor refrees robbed declan james
It's clearly no let
Nope. He couldn't have hit it
Boring
Declan robbed. What a disgrace.
