Yum! British Ordinary Bitters are one of my favorite styles. I'm reminded of that every time I'm in England. It actually got me back into home brewing, since cask conditioned British pub beer isn't something you can really find here in the states. Your bitter is pretty dark as far as Ordinary Bitters go, but that's the beauty of home brewing - you can do whatever makes the beer you want!

They are delicious! I really enjoyed them the one time I was in England. I also like the lower ABV for casual beers. I've only made actual cask beers a couple of times, as a buddy of mine had a stainless cask that is traditional in every way but the stainless 🤣. Sadly, he moved, and I don't have access to it anymore. It was super fun for parties.
Yes, this is dark (flavor preference, of course), and you're correct about the beauty of crafting recipes how you like them. Thanks for the comment! 🍻

I brew this style all the time. Love them. Just did one with the Carrara III mixed it up with the chocolate malt. Loooking forward to trying it.

Oooh, nice! I love chocolate malt. Just thinking about it makes me crave my Dry Stout... which I need to brew again, soon. 🍻

@@ThisDadGoesTo11 I am brewed a black IPA with the best bitter I did… I need to keg it this week. I’m hoping the black IPA came out good that had some chocolate malt in it too.

@@paulbilodeau8569 Fantastic! I love Black IPAs, when they're done right. It can be challenging to do with citrus hops, with the potential of clashing with the roast. Man, now I want to brew on of those, too! That would be a great early winter beer. It's been several years since I made one. 🤔🍻

@@paulbilodeau8569 Totally! I've been thinking about the Black IPA all morning, now. The thirsty is real. 😅 Yes, will be doing more Roccbox vids. I feel like I've got a solid handle on it (although it is super easy to use...I'd say easier yeah the Ooni, after seeing and using one of those several times).

Nice video. Regarding the recipe a volume, OG and FG (and maybe IBU) is missing to replicate your beer, cheers!

Hey, there! So, I mentioned those in the actual video, but I've now added them to the video description, too. The hops I added gave a total of 30 IBU. I was shooting for an OG of 1.038, but landed a little higher at 1.040. FG was 1.011. If you brew this, let me know what you think! 🍻🍻
