    As a Caregiver I want to thank you so much because I understand better and I have been sharing your videos to my wife that got a stroke a year ago. My biggest challenge is how to motivate her to so stuff as her initiative is not 100 there yet and I am only one 24/7. I want it to ask you if you could share anything on electrodes. Saebo mention the Sensory Electrode Stimulation. There is Funtional Electrode Stimulation like Bioness. And TEEN that it is used my understanding is more to block pain. And the Electro Muscle Stimulation. And again, thank so much. When we get better and I want to thank you personally. Or maybe we do something to sharp her skills at your clinic.

    • @rehabhqofficial
      @rehabhqofficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching! I am glad they are helping. You are correct TENS is more for pain and generally speaking a neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) is more geared toward "activating" a muscle. It has to do with the wave form. That being said, Saebo and bioness are most likely always going to be the NMES waveform. I hope that helps.

      Suffered a stroke almost 30 years ago at 23 y/o. Massive lower extremity orthopedic injuries kept me from full rehab activities. Recently had last orthopedic corrective surgery. Still working to correct improper movement patterns. Stretching my ankle to overcome plantar flexion. Standing on angled board for 60 minutes each morning. Doctors told me in 1993 after 12 months post stroke whatever I had was what I would live with…..NOT TRUE folks. I’m 52 y/o and seeing improvements constantly, the more I work on it the better I get. my arm is really dense after my stroke and the physios dont seem to have too much hope that I will regain movement . it is in a sling every day because the shoulder is subluxed and i have no pain in it, yet the physio said at my last visit it is a given that my arm will get painful further down the line which I found incredibly defeatist. so I have decided that I will follow the videos as much as I am able and try to beat the odds and regain as much function as I can. is that a reasonable goal? I am 5 month post hemorrhagic stroke and am walking again even though I was not given much hope. which videos should I concentrate the most on?

    What if it’s been a long time since your stroke and you think your elbow is locked? You don’t have help and it’s hard to do on your own. My shoulder is completely stretched out. And my hand is more open. My wrist is downward flexed though. #strokelbow

    In one of your videos, you were using a device that it appears you locked your arms around and proceeded to rock forward and back, like going sit ups. What is that device?

    • @rehabhqofficial

      hmm, I am not sure. The only thing i can think of is the core max (used in this video) that I "put my arms around". I wish I could be more help.
