There will always be prestige among certain games and developers but TRUE growth comes from giving new devs and new IPs a chance and investing in them. Most gamers today have lost this thought and concept and need to rediscover it for the gaming market to keep growing in the long-term rather than clinging to familiarity constantly.
Most exciting moment for me was seeing there's some sort of vocation quick change mechanic in Dragon's Dogma 2. Depending on how far they're willing to go with it that could lead to some nutty synergies and combos in the combat. I'm also curious if it's gonna be an Arisen only thing or if your main pawn can quick change vocations as well.
Sadly, it was announced on Twitter that it is a specific class, "Jack of all trades" you can say.
I think it is called Warfarer that can switch between all of the classes at will.
@@marcuskane1040 Ah, well that's kinda lame. That class has to have some serious drawbacks, cause otherwise why would you ever pick any other class when you can pick one that can do everything.
You can't use every skill from every class, probably specific ones to make some cool looking combinations of moves in guessing. I'm certain there's still more classes they haven't shown that probably won't be apart of warfarer either @@MattyIce213
@@MattyIce213 the downside with the Warfarer vocation is that it has lower stats compared to other vocations. But the tactics that you can do by switching between weapons makes up for it.
Stellar Blade looks dope the last trailer had way more action and showing the world. This one showed more of the rpg elements.
Also Judas LOOKS INCREDIBLE!! It is like weird sci fi fantasy meets cyberpunk, We Happy Few (greattt game if you’ve never played it), Bioshock of course, and Deathloop with the strange futuristic parties and outfits and strange characters.
That SH2 trailer was extremely rough looking and the guns sound horrible.
It’s probably still another 3 years away honestly. Wouldn’t be surprised if it gets delayed a few times if it hasn’t already internally.
@@thepathfinder11387It was featured in the “coming out in 2024” sizzle reel Sony made…Hope they take more time 😅
Bloober team shouldn’t be making it.
Max's reaction to what i think is baby lou? was my exact reaction even tho i don't have kids haha, but im super invested in the story of death stranding.
The flowing of the hair reminds me of heavenly blade
The old PS3 days...
Really hope Max return to Death Stranding 1 since the teary moments were really worth experiencing (or at least the cutscenes only youtube video)
My fav Sonic game is getting a remake, HELL YES!! Why does Sonic & Shadow actually look so fucking good?! I was actually not expecting the ridiculously improved graphics, nor the new levels.
99% sure their using the newer engine
The thumbnail says it all lol
Silent Hill 2’s combat looks so robotic and lacking of power on the hits. At the end of the day I just want the good story and presentation and great music and atmosphere.
Bloober Team are making it - what did you expect? Their track record consists almost entirely of mediocre walking sims. I knew it was gonna be bad the moment I heard they were working on it.
@@Halucygeno isn't that Silent Hill though? I know there's combat but no one talks about that because it's not great. I played the Medium from Bloober and that game was atmospheric and screams silent hill. I'm happy this hardworking horror indie team is getting a shot at a big name.
@@MewinMoosehate to tell you this but this “team” has been caught stealing assets
@@nman551 don't pull bs again I searched and there was nothing you probably meant blue box studios for that vapor ware scam game
@@craig1552I kinda liked the jank the old silent hill games have, and if this remake blunders itself I’ll always have the original one to play. It’s a win win for me
39:20 I feel you Max. I’m a dad of 2 little girls, 1 and 3 months. Everything involving kids gets me tearing up.
An hour long presentation and the game the internet is most hype for is a Sonic remaster oh the humanity
_they aren't wrong though_
It's the best Sonic game. YEAH I SAID IT.
I mean to each their own I guess. Generations does have very nice levels.
I still prefer the speed of Unleashed Day Stages though. @@mortified0
WE GOT NEW CONTENT NOW
Stellar blade literally has a video showcasing its combat. The combat is going to be good. If I had the comparative to anything it's Devil May Cry not Nier.
Wooo
The amount of fucking TH-cam ads is wild to me. My god.
Action Director: Yuji Shimomura
Known works being the cutscene director of Devil May Cry 3-5 and Bayonetta 1-3
We got DMC-like fight scenes, cutscenes that's grounded and perfectly suited to fit in Death Stranding, let's GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
That Silent Hill 2 trailer is exactly what I'd expect out of both Konami and Bloober team: a complete misunderstanding and mishandling of a really cool concept.
Yeah why was it all action?!
@@nman551 Probably because most people working on it think they're remaking Resident Evil 4.
Maybe it's just to show what the combat will be like not a full representation of the game, I dont think any of bloober team's games have had combat in them so they are just trying to put those fears to bed with it? It didn't look bad, sound on the guns could do with some work though.
Bc Bloober sucks hard, they're just bad
@@nman551 my guy, look up the trailer and it literally says action. they won't show running around then
what max said about stellar blade is what i said as well that how the game looks cool, but HOW the game will feel for the player. I do hope its functional because from what we saw with stellar blade, game to me looks amazing in every aspect. I just hope the combat is what we expect.
Hey, do you remember when Shadow had a pump action MP5? Good times....
they just dropped an MGS announcement under Kojima Productions like it was nothing lmao
Death Stranding marionette companion seem to be a direct inspiration from GOW's Mimir.
A great idea if it has the personality to back it up.
I don't know. Tired of this trope in games. Every game that has a solo character just HAS to have something to talk to, or the character needs to talk to themselves constantly.
@@Dinosbergwhen it’s a narrative driven game there has to be some sort of dialogue. I much prefer this then the character talking to themselves.
@@Dinosberg yes, i'm with you but in the case of Mimir i was always interested in what he had to say, well written characters and dialog makes all the difference.
@@CorykingRR Or how about this, they don't talk to themselves that much. Sam was already great by himself. He would say some small things, but they were things any person would say, and VERY RARELY. Most of the journey was quiet, and it was great for the atmosphere.
@@yellowcard8100 maybe they added him cause of the “walking simulator” stuff, hopefully he’s an interesting character tho
Love the thumbnail 😂. It got me LMAO with Max’s picture of excitement. 🤣😂🤣
I love how Kojima has Del Toro and Refn in DS1. They’re known for dark visuals and sometimes cryptic writing. Then in DS2 it’s George Miller. Like he’s telling us the flavor of game we’re going to get without telling us.
I can't believe George Miller, the director of Mad Max series and Happy Feet, is on Death Stranding 2.
I have no immediate faith that the SH2 remake will be anything special, but that particular trailer is just how trailers go these days. Unless you're making an rpg they will always focus on a lot of combat in a trailer cuz that's what they have discovered the majority of people want to see out of a trailer. "Gameplay" , and just walking around isn't enough "gameplay".
I still don’t understand why Konami remade Silent Hill 2 before Silent Hill. Actually, I take that back. Silent Hill 2 is the more popular game. I just wish they had remade the first game first
Cuz a silent hill 2 movie is being made
Watching you cry at a Kojima trailer was priceless👏👏
I, for one, can't wait for Steel Cog Hardened from Kojima.
Take a shot every time Max mentions Nioh whenever a Team Ninja logo shows up.
"We just recycled PT into the Short message" wouldve worked too.
When I saw the end of the trailer I was like “This is Konami’s way of apologizing for the PT debacle.”.
good for them I guess. Not a bad idea. Make a new PT maybe leading into a new Silent Hill in the future
And it was okay.
Not nearly as scary or interesting as PT, but it was something and it was free.
Stellar Blade looks like a really cool mix of Nier, Code Vein and The Surge. Looks very promising imo.
38:54 aw max reaction 😂🥺
This DS2 trailer is absolutely stunning, god damn
The puppets animation style is fire
Really shows the level of research they’re doing to make everything be as real as possible.
@@Goleon yeah shit was fire
When Kefka enters Death Stranding with a guitar
It was an amazing State of Play
Surprised you didn't put the skeleton on the thumbnail, best part of this entire State of Play.
Stellar Yams finally has a release date
The original Helldivers was actually very fun and hilarious.
