I have to admit, Electric Guitar mini railgun that turns into a battle axe is something I will NEVER come up with
Somehow this reminded me of Sonic Chaos Space Marines from Warhammer 40K.

I like how the entire Death Stranding trailer between Higgs going all Raiden-y and the boat being Rex's cockpit sawed off and turned into a ship, I was like "this is so unapologetically Metal Gear with the trademark filings ripped off" and then as soon as that ended Kojima was like "I'm glad you were thinking that, because I'm making that too"

I want a proper Godzilla game to be made again one day. You can just use a similar groundwork from "Save the Earth" if you want and just add more characters. And good online obviously. I would be happy.

For those wondering who the old guy in the Death Stranding 2 trailer is, that’s George Miller, the insane mastermind behind the Mad Max movies.
That explains where he ripped off the guitar weapon dude. Lol

26:15 having lived in Yokohama for a few years, this red brick tower (Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall) gave me chills because it's still there. It actually withstood the catastrophic 1923 Great Kantō earthquake, which wreaked havoc on the Tokyo area and resulted in a hundred thousand deaths.
I love the tiny part during the Death Stranding 2 trailer when Max got emotional after the Higgs guitar scene. Those moments are to be cherished.
Stellar Blade is giving so much NieR Autonata vibes, from the setting, graphics and music style. And i’m all here for it.

Honestly, he shouldn't watch it. It's close enough to release and usually these later things are very spoilery, hell, I'd even go as far as to say that a lot of stuff they've released is "spoilery" already to some level. I've avoided watching any new Rebirth videos even of Max's reactions for months now because of it.
I don’t need to see anymore. We basically got a State of Play at Tokyo Game Show. I’m beyond hype for Rebirth but they’re approaching showing too much at this point. I think I’m going on media blackout until release. I’ve started my Remake play-through to satisfy my FF7 needs until the 29th

Waited until last year to play through Death Stranding and so sad I waited so long. That game gave me a whole new appreciation for Kojima. As a dad, the ending of that game wrecked me. What a game.
I'm not a dad, but it wrecked me just as much.. The only other game that ever managed to do this to me multiple times was "What Remains of Edith Finch".
It wrecked me with its complete lack of enjoyable gameplay, which is the main thing I value in a game, wish I was someone who could enjoy a game with bad gameplay and great story😢

@@yourmother9747Funnily enough, the story and writing are kinda messy and inconsistent and the gameplay is what actually works about death stranding for a lot of its run time. I still replay it and skip most of the cutscenes. Building roads is very fulfilling. I will admit it takes a while for the gameplay to click. Episode 3 is when you get to the main open world and things really open up. The OW Combat is surprisingly good too, you can use a sticky gun to yoink enemy packages and throw them back at their faces.

@@valentds and whats funny about that is Max genuinely enjoyed the hiking, traveling and sneaking stuff, right up until fast travel and other op gadgets became the focus. he mentions that quite often.
I think we can all agree there was something incredible about the exploration of environments and proper gameplay spliced in here and there,
but as soon as the strong gadgets unlock, that make those gameplay moments disappear or less frequent and it loses that grip it had.

It's a Korean game taking tons of inspiration from Japanese games like Nier, Bayonetta and more, man. Subtlety is not their forte. All about exposition and telling you how every character feels. Just a different style of storytelling

Korean, chinese and japanese investments in the same SoP (almost all the show actually) you love to see it. They may not be turbo focused in Japan but they are investing more in Asia than the last 10 years and I'm here for it.

One thing about kojima, he'll always bring you a bat sht crazy concept; on time, everytime. The Mimir references were cool too, even Mimir's voice actor was involved. Kojima really gets his way with the industry's talent and by the looks of things he's about to have his way with hollywood's talent too. Calling it right now, Keanu's in the new espionage IP. Not the main character, but he is definitely gonna be in there somewhere

Max, I can say for absolutely certain that as a dad, if you get to the end of Death Stranding.. you'll have one of the most profound and emotional experiences in gaming by a long shot.
Most exciting moment for me was seeing there's some sort of vocation quick change mechanic in Dragon's Dogma 2. Depending on how far they're willing to go with it that could lead to some nutty synergies and combos in the combat. I'm also curious if it's gonna be an Arisen only thing or if your main pawn can quick change vocations as well.
Sadly, it was announced on Twitter that it is a specific class, "Jack of all trades" you can say.
I think it is called Warfarer that can switch between all of the classes at will.
@@marcuskane1040 Ah, well that's kinda lame. That class has to have some serious drawbacks, cause otherwise why would you ever pick any other class when you can pick one that can do everything.
You can't use every skill from every class, probably specific ones to make some cool looking combinations of moves in guessing. I'm certain there's still more classes they haven't shown that probably won't be apart of warfarer either @@MattyIce213
@@MattyIce213 the downside with the Warfarer vocation is that it has lower stats compared to other vocations. But the tactics that you can do by switching between weapons makes up for it.

Also Judas LOOKS INCREDIBLE!! It is like weird sci fi fantasy meets cyberpunk, We Happy Few (greattt game if you’ve never played it), Bioshock of course, and Deathloop with the strange futuristic parties and outfits and strange characters.

I think my theory still stands: SoP are less than 45 minutes and Showcases are longer. But they were pushing it this time.
I think i might need to add to it that Showcases happen in or near the summer unless it is the year of a new console release.
what max said about stellar blade is what i said as well that how the game looks cool, but HOW the game will feel for the player. I do hope its functional because from what we saw with stellar blade, game to me looks amazing in every aspect. I just hope the combat is what we expect.

Silent Hill 2’s combat looks so robotic and lacking of power on the hits. At the end of the day I just want the good story and presentation and great music and atmosphere.
Bloober Team are making it - what did you expect? Their track record consists almost entirely of mediocre walking sims. I knew it was gonna be bad the moment I heard they were working on it.
