There is never a full moment, for you. Really love the land, so green. Do ever sit down or rest ? And hopefully you got your lunch. You deserve the best lunch Ever !!!!
Oh yeah, quite a lot down here! We’ve gotten rain down here crazy lots 😂 And our cow pasture is in the middle of farm fields so the farmers pump all their water out of the fields and into the pastures 😬
With that much water, do you have problems with the cattle’s feet? Hoof rot? What did you get for the calves? If you don’t mind telling me. I’m just curious what the price variance between Florida and Montana is. Thanks. Very interesting post.
We usually don’t have too many problems with their feet. We don’t get foot rot but every now and then (we did this year), they get what we call leeches. It’s not an actual leech but it’s a parasite that gives a disease and puts sores on their feet. I have a video about it. We sold real late at night the day after Labor Day, hence why our prices were low (we think). We averaged about $1150 for steers. I think our average for steers and heifers were around $1000. Prices were back up the next day. I would say they are around $1350 avg for 400-500 now.
@@keepinitcountry5 That’s very interesting. I’m surprised you don’t have more problems. I’ll have to look into to “leeches”. I’ve not heard of that before. But I live in Wyoming and we seldom have any water problems. Other than not ever having enough. The markets are always a crap shoot. If your cattle go out early, you have a better chance. If the go out later, most buyers already have what they want or need. It’s tough for sure. It’ll turn out better the next time. I’ll watch your video on leeches now. Thank you for responding.

Good video , more of you and your personality, that’s what makes the channel. Interesting channel and life style . Best of luck

There’s a lot more in Florida than Mickey Mouse and beaches Florida has always been one of the top Beef producing states in USA
I hate when the markets prices go down its always when we have calves to sell then when we dont have many calves the market prices go up 😂😂❤❤
I know right 😂
Hate when that happens! Praise Yahweh for Yahshua HalleluYah 😊
Awsome video, great job .. was wondering how the cattle’s hooves hold up to always being wet ? Hoof rot ?

Great video how many cows do you’ll have
Thanks! We run about 300 head between all our herds
With all that flooded pasture do yall have trouble with foot rot in your cattle?
Not really. We don’t get foot rot but we do get what we call leeches. I have a video on it that I posted.
Do you guys ever feed them fruit?
No. They get grass, molasses (when they need it) and we give them cattle cubes for treats.
You're absolutely gorgeous I own Rodeo stock and I know I always hit the wrong time to bring calves to the sale barn
We sold earlier, in May, and hit it right but this time we weren’t so lucky 😩
Water buffalo might be better suited for that kinda land then cows.
lol 😂
Where do you buy your jewelry from? Or do you make it yourself?
All different places. I bought some from SHEIN but I get most of it from boutiques and from cow shows.
Does your cows interact with gators and crocodile
No, thank goodness 😂

if there is a crocodile in the swamp it will be extremely dangerous for cattle #🇵🇰
We don’t have crocodile but we do have alligators. And the bigger ones might eat a calf but the smaller ones usually don’t mess with them
Can you get rid of the gator due to its a nuisance to your cattle or do you have to let game wardens know first
No, we can’t get rid of him ourself. U have to have a tag or contact FWC
