No matter how much hard work the people of other countries do, they still can't earn money equal to Europeans. I am talking about the majority of the people of a country, not a single person (GDP per capita). The top 50 richest countries in GDP per capita are European countries or oil-rich countries. The real reason Europeans occupy all of North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, controlling almost 50% of the world's area and natural resources. Now, some will give examples of: - The Korean Economic Miracle, - The Japanese Economic Miracle, - And the Taiwan Economic Miracle. But in reality, no miracle happened. After World War II, Japan received $23 billion in aid, and Korea received $13 billion from America-these amounts are much higher in today’s value, though the exact numbers are unclear. Japan, Korea, and Taiwan became rich by becoming slaves of America (Europeans). These countries provided military bases to America and followed the same foreign policy as Europeans (for example, when the U.S. sanctioned Russia, Japan also sanctioned Russia). In exchange, America gave them prosperity through money, aid, technology transfer, factory setups, etc. For example, Taiwan is a small island country with a population of 10 million, but still, Taiwan is rich because of semiconductors. How did semiconductors come to Taiwan? Because of the USA. RCA (Radio Corporation of America) set up its semiconductor factory in Taiwan in: - 1966 (initially as a joint venture) - 1970 (as a wholly-owned subsidiary, RCA Taiwan Ltd.)

I understand the point of this video, and I might even agree with it. But damn, it feels nowadays that whenever I go search TH-cam for videos related to countries’ economies, politics, and birth rates, I start to feel like we are doomed for good. Everywhere some weird nasty crap is happening. I guess I am gonna go and pack my stuff and move to Antarctica
it's cuz we are living through a huge global paradigm shift due to the failings of neoliberalism/neoconservatism and this neverending addiction to consumerism and unsustainable growth we've all seemed to develop in the past decades. that world they envisioned where we all got along with Russia and China and sang kumbayah with shareholders around the world in the name of neverending capitalistic consumerism and everything "trickled down" to us? and then the global peace this global money would somehow bring about? yeah remember that? that shits over and an extinct chapter in history books. in many ways... good riddance, plenty of terrible stuff came with it and our souls are sick across the developed world. try to think of it as we are living through history... at least might make it a bit exciting? lol. it could be better at the end of the shift tunnel too... who knows.
A long time ago, there was a expert who said that South Korea would never be able to stand up again. But contrary to the expert's prediction, South Korea has developed much more and stood up.. The predictions of any experts who had predicted South Korea's prospects have never been accurate.. People who make videos of other countries' misfortunes or negativity must be happy. Because other countries's difficulties can be happiness for them. I think human nature is evil.
Korea made the demographic transition common to Asian and European capitalist countries. But no one knows how to reverse the demographic dearth. Europe's leaders decided to commit r4cial suicide.
@@FingersKungfuKorea has been on the Korean penninsula for over 5,000 years. Korea has been through worse situations, but everytime Korea was able to overcome challenges, Korea has a bright future ahead.
These days, TH-cam has too many videos exaggerating that Samsung controls Korea's economy. Samsung's revenue represents the total amount earned from sales, while GDP reflects the value of final goods and services produced within an economy. Therefore, revenue includes intermediate goods, whereas GDP does not, making direct comparison inappropriate. To accurately determine Samsung's contribution to South Korea's GDP, one must consider the value added created by Samsung. Taking this into account, Samsung accounts for approximately 5.7% of South Korea's GDP.
These foreigners always overestimating Samsung's power in my country always make me cringe 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Corporations will never be more powerful than governments in East Asian culture 😂😂
Samsung is failing in multifolds, such as chip manufacturing, memory chip. China's memory chip may be less capable for now, but thanks to China super-large market, it's just a matter of time before it surpasses SK in this regard. In the US, of course, Micron memory is preferred because it's American.
If samsung controls Korea why was Samsung chief forced to pay $8 billion in inheritance taxes? Korea has the highest inheritance tax in the world, at 65% for the very rich. America cant compare.
As a South American, South Korea was impressive this time. I was impressed by the fact that Koreans and members of the Korean National Assembly suspended President Yoon Seok Yeol from office and passed an impeachment vote in 12 days.. I was also impressed by the peaceful protests of 2 million Koreans. I think that if Yoon steps down and another good presidential candidate is elected, the situation in South Korea will be completely different and better.
Nah nah. You don’t understand the entire situation of South Korea at all. The reason why President Yoon has declared martial law was to give a warning sign to South Korean people that anti-national forces are taking the South Korea to the hell. This is a strong wake up call for South Korea as the nation is currently manipulated by spies from Communist China and North Korea. Ovbiously, the Democratic Party of Korea which takes order from Communist China and North Korea have dominated majority of the seat in National Assembly. The government cannot be functioned properly as all budgets were curtailed, thanks to the democrats who takes orders from Communist China and North Korea. Also, Democratic Party refused to amend Espionage Act which is crucial for South Korea’s national security and protection of tech industries. They’re simply allowing Communist China and North Korea to steal South Korea’s military secrets and technologies that are developed from high tech industries. Do you think it’s reasonable that the opposition party refuses to amend the Espionage act and curtail the government’s budget? Answer is simple they do all these things because they are not royal to Sotuh Korea and Korean peole, instead they prove the royalty to Communist China and North Korea. Over the past decades there awere many suspicions and evidence that ‘Democratic Party of Korea’ secretly cooperate with Communist China and North Korea to destroy South Korea’s national security, economics and people’s livehood. If you really think that South Korea has to be remained as one of the strongest U.S ally think about it again.
th-cam.com/video/8eO4zQew4CA/w-d-xo.html This video is very long, but presents good arguments why even if there is no US involvement in a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, the Chinese would have massive problems. Contrary to this, North Korea has all its artillery on Seoul, so the moment the war breaks out this city is going to be destroyed. South Korea will have to shift into a war economy with most of its economy in shambles.
quite the contrary. they are screwd _because_ in the name of 'providing security', usa is using them as forward operating bases to attack china. and if the chinese counterattack, it will damage the forward operating bases instead of mainland usa, which sits safely thousands of km away.
There is a significant difference between birth rate and fertility rate. Japan has a lower birth rate than South Korea, despite having a higher fertility rate. This is because the proportion of women of childbearing age in Japan is smaller, as Japan's fertility rate began to decline earlier than South Korea's. Consequently, when South Korea reaches the demographic stage that Japan is currently experiencing, the impact is likely to be even more severe.
NK doesn't need to beat SK. SK will self-collapse due to: feminization (thanks to K-Pop, where men wear make-ups), very low fertility rate (so no more willing soldiers), constant political chaos (see the current event in SK).
@@oceanwave4502that’s actually not true because North Korea is having a population problem as well why do you think the laser of North Korea went on tv and cried begging North Korean women to have more children.
I remember.. In the early 2000s, some media or some experts said that Korean dramas and Korean movies(Hallyu), would fail and disappear. However, in 2024, they are more alive than ever. For a long time, some experts and some media have predicted the future of South Korea, but not once have their predictions come true.. South Korea was strong when it faced a crisis, and it will overcome the difficulties in the future and improve. Let’s see how you react in 2030
Idk but kpop kinda fell off also the kdrama fame is stable it didn't go down but not up either nowadays south korean media just leeches on to the popularity Japanese media have no offense
@@rubiesfame688What Japanese media is popular? Japan is the biggest consumer of K-entertainment in the world? Rose just broke the record, k-dramas are being watched all over the world now. K-wave has been evolving since 2000, starting from China and then Japan, and all over South East Asia? Japanese media? Japan doesn't even have a Manga platform. Japanese media is full of Korean shows and celebrities or Japanese singers in K-pop groups. Japanese anime has always been popular, but now they borrow Korean platforms for distribution? Japanese shows hire Korean actors for views. I can't name a single Japanese singer or drama that I can think of. All Japan talks about is New Jeans, BTS, Twice, and Korean shows. China banned Korean shows, but 80% of Chinese are still obsessed over Korean shows. America is the second biggest consumer market of K-entertainment in the world. K-wave has gotten so big over the last few decades.
Been saying this for awhile their Birth rate sucks too but nowhere near as bad as the South's. Plus America won't be in the South forever economics and America becoming, slowly more interventionists these next few decades due too American's slowly realizing meddling in other countries/propping them up has hurt them or has done nothing for them
If the South Korean government truly cares about this issue, then convince the Chaebols to reduce the work hours of the day to 8 hours of work per day. If productivity falls, hire more workers. For Goodness sake, the people are burning out. Yes, you can run an engine at higher revolutions, but it burns the engine out.
@@JOYJOY-hk2oc Korea's rate of aging will be astronomic from 2025 to 2050. It is just becoming a super aged society in 2025. That means 20% of the total population is 65 or older..Korea will have the oldest population in the entire world in 2050. 36.7 % will be 65 or older. In 2050 50% will be 60 or older and the other half 60 or younger. Korea will be the fastest aging country in the entire world from 2025 to 2050 It won't be Korea's fault for the demographic hell that the country will go thru. Same thing is happening with Japan . However the rate of aging is much more rapid in Korea. . The cost of health care will skyrocket and the numbers of available doctors will plummet to never seen before lows. Pediatric care will virtually disappear as a career(It’s likely already happening). Elementary schools will board up and go silent. There's many more bad things that will happen but it's too depressing to think about. Enjoy the next 10 years cuz shit hits the fan from 2040. or maybe sooner. I'm lucky to have experienced Korea in really good times.
1:30 in and so far this is just dishonest journalism. First of all, Samsung doesn't make up 22% of the country's GDP. You can't take the total global sales of a multinational corporation and divide it by its home country's GDP, which is a completely different(and much more complicated) economic index. Second, to say that the declaration of martial law represents how the country is apparently unstable is ridiculous. Parliament members from both sides united against the president and voted to undo martial law within a couple hours, if anything I think that this shows how stable the country actually is when compared to, say, the United States. Also, things "didn't go back to normal in 48 hours", things went back to normal in 6 hours. Even then, most of the country was sleeping the entire time, so most people weren't even aware of it, let alone were they directly impacted by it.
I wouldn't quite say things went back to normal in 6 hours. the economic impact was unfortunately quite serve as recent figures have revealed. the whole thing did brief spook the korean stock market and caused quite a lot of cancelations of events and things and it impacted quite a few sectors of the economy. having said that things seem to be normalised now I think. though I suspect uncertainty will remain while the constitutional court case is ongoing.
For my analysis, Korea is a small country and it can stress people out that’s why people become more mean when they don’t want to be mean. That’s just my point.
Let's not overestimate the 4B movement, as this was never a mainstream movement. It has been overexaggerated and sensationalized in western media because of its fringe radical message. Still, the information you presented overall was a useful summary of some of South Korea's biggest challenges to date. I appreciate the thought and time you dedicated to making this video.
Let's be honest.. This korean president was suspended from office by the Korean people and the National Assembly after 12 days.. The fact is that South Korea's democracy is strong and the future is hopeful. If a good president is elected, the situation in South Korea will change a lot.. We know how important a leader is in any field.
Several other Asian countries, including Japan, are also experiencing this problem. But is Korea the target? Please treat this problem fairly for other Asian countries as well.. According to information, among Asian countries, Korea is more favorable toward the United States than Japan, but Some American media and some Westerners rarely attack or mention Japan
Japan does share the same problem of population decline. But, S Korea's population decline will be BRUTAL. The population will be approximately 47 to 49 million by the year 2040, from 51.7 million today. According to an estimate, South Korean population is expected to drop to 36.4 million by 2060. Not only has the total fertility rate dropped to 0.72 in 2023, Korean women also declare they would not have sex with men, potentially exacerbating the problem.
while Japan has had this sort of problem and stagnation happening for much longer... anyone who is informed knows that South Korea's version of this problem is by far more notable/interesting because of the speed and intensity it will happen at. I lived in South Korea for 5 years, married to a South Korean man, my entire in law family lives in Busan, and I also spent many months in Japan. one thing Koreans sure as shit know how to do is to do things at the extremes lol. NK went hard authoritarian communist, and SK went hard capitalistic dystopia where companies essentially act like mini NKs lol.
if anyone wants to make mediocre videos and still try get views by hopping on some trendy topic. This video is for you. give me my 9 minutes back... had to watch it x2 to see how bad this was.
If the birthrate is 0.74 per woman, and some women have multiple children, then it's a lot fewer than 3 out of 4 women having babies. Try fewer than half.
Yes, hahaha. You hit the point in a funny way. If this TH-camr talks about Japan, he will be saying exactly the same thing as things he said in this video. Right?
the 4B movement is a joirnalist invention, I have Korean friends from Seoul that never heard of itnuntil they watched it on tiktok. Anyway the pressure they endure since kindergarden is terrible and thats where the change should start
Oh the legendary 4B movement. I'm Korean and the first time I heard about it was on Reddit after Trump's re-election. As always, the media likes to twist realities to push their agenda.
Good summary of situation in Korea but you're wrong about the SK not having bargaining chip in case the US cannot guarantee safety in the region. SK not only have its military and industrial complex capable enough defend against NK today, against larger foe like China or Russia, it'll develop nuclear weapons which has been talked about for over a decade. SK already has the materials and know how to build nukes within a matter of few months. Same is true for Japan.
Korea seems to be in DAY 1 where Japan has spent the past 20~30 years. Perhaps its speed and deepening is faster than Japan's. Japan still had used some of China's economic boost during the recession. However, China is predicted to have a recession in the future, and in fact seems to be entering that phase. At that time, Korea will enter Japan's lost 30 years. It is going to be in a more serious condition.
Agree S. Korea really is in deep trouble. It's literally dying all N. Korea has too do is play the long game ( sooner or later America will leave ) Also The South is stuck in a doom loop it seems
Why aren’t China, Germany and Russia also on this list? North America, Europe and Australia/NZ are temporarily holding fort with illegal border crossings (except Australia), skilled permanent migration, skilled/unskilled temporary migration and family reunion visa categories (again, except Australia)
@@Datruthfrmwayupact we Americans are not having a population problem our population is growing by the year 2100 it is projected that the American population would have grown to be between 450 million to 500 million people as for China and Russia their population continues to decline.
South Korea only recently became one of the top arms exporters. Its rank was boosted especially with the recent large purchase orders by Poland and other countries in response to the Russo-Ukraine War.
The concern with a declining Korea is about geopolitical military trends, which would hinge on whether Russia and China decline. And I don't think modern warfare requires much population. The situation is different today than it was more than 50 years ago. Korea may be in decline, but so are Russia and China.
The truth of martial law is hardly known outside of Korea, so I tell you the real story with the help of a translator. It may sound strange, but this martial law was a legal act guaranteed by the Korean Constitution. According to the Korean Constitution, martial law should be initiated through a Cabinet meeting, and the end of martial law is subject to the decision of the National Assembly. At the Cabinet meeting, most members of the State Council opposed the start of martial law, but martial law began. The reason is that the legitimacy of the initiation of martial law is not the result of the cabinet meeting, but the fact that the cabinet meeting was held. Of course, the law is strange, but the fact that it was followed is important. In addition, within three hours of martial law, the decision to lift martial law was made by the resolution of the National Assembly, and the president accepted the decision. The President has met all the legal forms and requirements related to martial law. This martial law is not illegal, at least under Korean constitution. Isn't that strange, then? Why did the president forcefully start martial law, which would be lifted soon? This may be the weirdest part, but many Koreans have already noticed why. In the Sonja Byeongjeom, the classical military book of the East, the word 'Seongdong Gyeokseo' is said. It is a military code to make the east loud and attack the west. The president tried to use the Sungdong Command. The National Assembly had a minimum number of troops, It didn't stop most lawmakers from entering the main building of the National Assembly. There were some lawmakers who went over some walls, but they just had to enter the main gate. Many lawmakers presented identification cards to soldiers, entered the National Assembly and voted to suspend martial law. When all the opposition parties were concentrating on the National Assembly, the President sent more troops to the Election Commission than the National Assembly. They included a significant number of IT professionals, The soldiers seemed to be trying to extract some evidence from the central server of the Election Commission. And, though not exactly everything is known, the mission seems to have succeeded. Let's conclude. The president aimed to catch evidence of fraudulent elections prevalent in Korea. China is behind the election fraud. Opposition forces with China have brought electronic ticket machines and electronic ticket systems to Korea, It is suspected of being easy to manipulate: at least two parliamentary and one presidential election, In other words, it is believed that there was election fraud in the election of the previous president of Moon Jae In. The Election Commission is a constitutional independent body that rejects audits by the Board of Audit and Inspection, The search and seizure warrant submitted to the court was repeatedly rejected. The only practical way to investigate the Election Commission is martial law. It uses both democratic procedures and methods, The Election Commission investigation has been repeatedly blocked, and numerous accusations of election fraud have all been rejected, There have been cases in which those who have monitored and exposed fraudulent elections have been sentenced to prison when evidence has been fabricated. Rather, DNA extracted from the exposed was placed in a space that didn't even go and was manipulated and imprisoned as if it had penetrated the space. Only that part of the evidence of the fraudulent election was destroyed by fire in a specific investigation room of the prosecution. Powerful and huge forces are involved in rigged elections and have prevented rigged election investigations. It is speculated that these fraudulent elections may have involved Chinese intervention, Many countries in the Belt and Road trade with China have been involved in controversy over fraudulent elections since the late 2010s due to Korean electronic counting machines. In Kyrgyzstan, Romania, El Salvador, and other countries, there were fraudulent elections, and all of them were Korean electronic indicators, It was China intervening behind the scenes. This fight is not just a martial law incident that took place in Korea, a particular country, Two big battles around the world, the conflict between the United States and China, a microcosm of the war in which liberal forces fight against authoritarian forces. So, there may be further background to the question of why Yoon Suk Yeol's president did martial law at this point. The big opposition party, which has 190 seats out of 300 due to rigged elections, has cut the administration's budget in almost every way, They impeached 22 officials of the administration and made them disappear. They were actually plotting a state paralysis. In particular, the special activity expenses in the budget related to the presidential office were made to zero. This background may have encouraged the president's martial law. Also, it means "reflective behavior therapy." That is, if the opposition party uses the right of the law to run a legislative riot, it makes the president realize that the right of the law can do martial law. If you test what's possible by law to the limit, you let the opposition party realize what's happening to each other. If the opposition's indiscriminate impeachment is justified by law, then the president's martial law is justified by law. However, the essential reason is to end rigged elections. If we fail to prevent the election fraud, the opposition party will continue to maintain its power in a negative way, It means that China's influence in Korea will grow. Unlike what is known abroad, support for power in Korea is 50-50. There are over 80 polls saying martial law is wrong, but if you're asking who you're going to support, it's 50-50. The president's martial law does not immediately shift to the support of the opposition. The public is looking at the situation relatively coldly. And, little is known about the inside story of rigged elections yet. Yoon Suk Yeol's martial law would not have happened if Harris or Biden had been elected. Only after President Trump was elected would he have thought he could investigate the election fraud. I'm not saying Harris was rigged, Some of the forces who supported her tend to turn a blind eye to benefiting from the rigged elections, which are set in China, This is because Korea's martial law leads to election fraud investigations, and we are wary of it affecting the Democratic Party of the United States. Please keep an eye on this issue in Korea. This fight is larger than expected, and the question of overcoming rigged elections and winning the free world depends.
There are 80+ European countries, including countries with European-origin populations. (Mainland Europe has 44 countries, Latin America and the Caribbean has 33 countries, North America has 2 countries, and Australia & New Zealand are included). First Let's talk about European countries (including countries with European-origin populations). The majority of European countries are rich. Reasons: 1. Europeans colonized and exploited the world for centuries, making them rich. More money led to more investment in technology, which generated more wealth, continuing the cycle. 2. Europeans shifted half of their population from Europe to North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. The benefit for mainland Europe was that it had a smaller population, while the other half of the population settled in vast resource-rich lands, in North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. 3. Countries with European origins (like Australia, Brazil, and the United States) export natural resources to mainland Europe. Europe then processes these resources into finished products and exports them back to the countries of origin. For example: Australia sends 1000 kg of iron ore to mainland Europe. Europe then uses that 1000 kg to produce two cars. One car is sent back to Australia, and the other stays in Europe, benefiting both regions with access to these products (and contributing to their high GDP per capita). This is a simplified explanation of how the trade and production system works. Additionally, factories in Europe were built with aid from the United States. After World War II, mainland European countries received $150 billion in aid under the Marshall Plan from the US.
It is a capitalist country in the South. Not sure what is so dystopian about the South though? It is still the safest country in the world, with the longest life expectancy rate in the world. Highly educated, none violent, democracy loving people who can hold a protest without any violence. Very affordable healthcare, highly educated general public, and a very trusting society. You would wish that you were born in South Korea.
I get the impression that the gov't in S Korea was more eager for their large companies to become competitive internationally, maybe as Japan has a larger domestic market that their companies can also fall back on. So S Korea might've given more preferential policies to their large companies to help incubate/grow them. I also got the impression that the gov't is a bit reliant on the large companies for some things e.g. to negotiate for more Pfizer vaccines from the USA, which I heard was a reason that Samsung's CEO was pardoned after being jailed for corruption
going to be weird watching North Korea unify the country by just simply walking down to South Korea and see the place empty of people...but hey, a better future is possible.
There are so many errors, I don’t know where to begin. League of Legends was developed by Americans 🤣. The entire video is just him repeating some articles he read from western publications. Zero insight from the Korean perspective. I want my 15mins back
North Korea is having the same problem as South Korea why do you think the leader of North Korea cried on tv begging North Korean women to have more children ???
Well, I think Korean people are not giving birth so that they will face stress in affording health care for their Aging people in future with lesser working supporting the old majority. At the same time, it seems like their tech companies are lacking behind in AI adoption and it may impact GDP of their biggest companies and finally their political system seems to be in trouble now. Hopefully they iron things out quickly, all is not lost.
I get your projection, bug birth rate started going up this year. We will survive this. My sister-in-law preg again, and my partner and i are getting ready for a second child soon. We are dual citizens trying yo make changes. Korea, in his long history was attacked more than 1000times by countries in North and South (kingdoms that made China, and Japan). We survived the worst of famine in 1600s losing more than 1/10 its population twice. Things will change and we will survive I believe.
It is absurd to pick Shinzo Abe as a good leader in Asia. Your selection of Shinzo Abe as a revolutionary leader shows how amateur your analysis is. Due to Abenomics, Japan is suffering from a weak yen, and both per capita GDP and average wages have fallen behind Korea. Import prices skyrocketed due to the yen, and export performance did not improve as much as expected. Japan also has common problems such as long-term recession, lost 30 years, aging population, low birth rate, and decreasing labor force. Moreover, Japan's national debt ranks first or second in the world. Furthermore, Japan missed the timing of digital transformation compared to Korea. Japan has a darker future than Korea. And although Singapore is a wealthy country, it is a city-state with less than half the population of Seoul, so it cannot be compared to South Korea with a population of 50 million. And another thing I would like to object to your analysis is that even if the US does not provide security support to Korea, Korea's military power is ranked 5th in the world, and the astronomical defense cost sharing that goes to the USFK can be used for economic development, and if the USFK disappears, we can improve our relations with North Korea, Russia, and China and strengthen economic cooperation. There is nothing bad about it for Korea.
Idiots didnt build a railway station or subway for the city, the nearest railway station is 45min by car. And the aim was to build an affordable city lol

I would advise every young Korean to emigrate to Thailand, Malaysia or another Asian country. You can also live very well in China Shanghai and Koreans are very much appreciated there.
Korean language is unique compared to Japan and China. It was invented by a king around 1400 -1500, during the protestant reformation era. Its language can be phoenically simply spelled to fit neatly into digital format.
What happens in Korea is not known exactly overseas, so we inform overseas with the help of a translator. Everyone has seen the Korean National Assembly approve the presidential impeachment bill without proper investigation or processing. Many people may wonder how such a thing is legally possible, which is Korean law. Similarly, according to Korean law, martial law is legal and the authority of the president. The fact that a cabinet meeting was held and the meeting was held regardless of the outcome of the meeting was enough to start martial law, and if the National Assembly decides to lift martial law, the martial law is lifted, which satisfies the legal form and requirements. First of all, you need to know that this was completely legal martial law. After sending a small number of troops to the National Assembly to draw attention, far more, including IT experts, are known to have joined the election commission and copied the data on the servers. It was to catch evidence of fraudulent elections. According to reports, the commission decided to spend $1.5 million (W2 billion) to replace the servers. There would have been no reason to replace them unless they had destroyed evidence of fraudulent elections. We will have to wait and see how the evidence of fraudulent elections brought out by the president is reflected and published in the investigation. The current issue is impeachment, and I'm talking about this. In conclusion, there is no impeachment. Within three or six months, the president is back. The reason relates to the composition of the judges of the Constitutional Court. There should be nine justices, currently six and three are vacant. This is because Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the opposition party, was delaying the appointment of justices in order to delay the Supreme Court's ruling on his own various illegal crimes. The president may have calculated that. He declared that he would plead the constitutional court process himself. And he demanded that the scene be broadcast live. It should not be forgotten that the president of Yoon Suk Yeol was a former prosecutor general. He is more knowledgeable about the law and better at creating an investigative process system than anyone else. If only one of the six current constitutional judges opposes impeachment, impeachment will not be established. It is due to the insufficient number of constitutional judges. And, now that there are more than two conservative constitutional judges, it is hard to establish an impeachment. Constitutional scholars say that impeachment is impossible under the Constitution. Maybe there will be a case where all six justices are against impeachment. Of course, two of them are on Lee's side, so at least two votes could be eliminated. This martial law may not have been done all the way the president planned and wanted, but I think some big structures and things that fit the purpose of martial law worked. It is to find out the structure of not being impeached and fraudulent elections and to see that China is behind it. This fight has just begun. The essence of this fight is the confrontation between liberal and authoritarian forces. This work of cutting China's influence in elections will take the liberal one step closer to victory.

it's cuz we are living through a huge global paradigm shift due to the failings of neoliberalism/neoconservatism and this neverending addiction to consumerism and unsustainable growth we've all seemed to develop in the past decades. that world they envisioned where we all got along with Russia and China and sang kumbayah with shareholders around the world in the name of neverending capitalistic consumerism and everything "trickled down" to us? and then the global peace this global money would somehow bring about? yeah remember that? that shits over and an extinct chapter in history books. in many ways... good riddance, plenty of terrible stuff came with it and our souls are sick across the developed world. try to think of it as we are living through history... at least might make it a bit exciting? lol. it could be better at the end of the shift tunnel too... who knows.

Make SAMSUNG Great Again 🤳
These foreigners always overestimating Samsung's power in my country always make me cringe 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Corporations will never be more powerful than governments in East Asian culture 😂😂
This is correct

This video is very long, but presents good arguments why even if there is no US involvement in a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, the Chinese would have massive problems.

Still, the information you presented overall was a useful summary of some of South Korea's biggest challenges to date. I appreciate the thought and time you dedicated to making this video.
I describe Korea in a nutshell as so: Once thriving, now diving...
Let's be honest.. This korean president was suspended from office by the Korean people and the National Assembly after 12 days.. The fact is that South Korea's democracy is strong and the future is hopeful. If a good president is elected, the situation in South Korea will change a lot.. We know how important a leader is in any field.
The upstream problem is they are conditioned to "you have to move to Seoul if you want a good job". That causes housing price inflation.
Korea's birth rate is much lower than Japan.
Korea seems to be in DAY 1 where Japan has spent the past 20~30 years. Perhaps its speed and deepening is faster than Japan's.
The National Assembly had a minimum number of troops,
It didn't stop most lawmakers from entering the main building of the National Assembly.
They included a significant number of IT professionals,
The soldiers seemed to be trying to extract some evidence from the central server of the Election Commission.
And, though not exactly everything is known, the mission seems to have succeeded.
Let's conclude. The president aimed to catch evidence of fraudulent elections prevalent in Korea.
China is behind the election fraud. Opposition forces with China have brought electronic ticket machines and electronic ticket systems to Korea,
It is suspected of being easy to manipulate: at least two parliamentary and one presidential election,
In other words, it is believed that there was election fraud in the election of the previous president of Moon Jae In.
The Election Commission is a constitutional independent body that rejects audits by the Board of Audit and Inspection,
The search and seizure warrant submitted to the court was repeatedly rejected.
The only practical way to investigate the Election Commission is martial law. It uses both democratic procedures and methods,
The Election Commission investigation has been repeatedly blocked, and numerous accusations of election fraud have all been rejected,
There have been cases in which those who have monitored and exposed fraudulent elections have been sentenced to prison when evidence has been fabricated.
It is speculated that these fraudulent elections may have involved Chinese intervention,
Many countries in the Belt and Road trade with China have been involved in controversy over fraudulent elections since the late 2010s due to Korean electronic counting machines.
In Kyrgyzstan, Romania, El Salvador, and other countries, there were fraudulent elections, and all of them were Korean electronic indicators,
It was China intervening behind the scenes. This fight is not just a martial law incident that took place in Korea, a particular country,
Two big battles around the world, the conflict between the United States and China, a microcosm of the war in which liberal forces fight against authoritarian forces.
So, there may be further background to the question of why Yoon Suk Yeol's president did martial law at this point.
The big opposition party, which has 190 seats out of 300 due to rigged elections, has cut the administration's budget in almost every way,
They impeached 22 officials of the administration and made them disappear.
If we fail to prevent the election fraud, the opposition party will continue to maintain its power in a negative way,
It means that China's influence in Korea will grow.
I'm not saying Harris was rigged,
Some of the forces who supported her tend to turn a blind eye to benefiting from the rigged elections, which are set in China,
This is because Korea's martial law leads to election fraud investigations, and we are wary of it affecting the Democratic Party of the United States.
Reasons:
For example:
Australia sends 1000 kg of iron ore to mainland Europe.
Korea is a tale of 2 systems. A communist dystopia to the north and a capitalist dystopia to the south.
another bs, eww
It is a capitalist country in the South. Not sure what is so dystopian about the South though? It is still the safest country in the world, with the longest life expectancy rate in the world. Highly educated, none violent, democracy loving people who can hold a protest without any violence. Very affordable healthcare, highly educated general public, and a very trusting society. You would wish that you were born in South Korea.
they made their choice
Which you prefer, downward spiral birth rate or over population country, in the end it come to money
Wow, great informative video on an barely known topic
Zaibatsus died in Japan while Chaebols still exist in Korea. Why?
I want my 15mins back
Thank you Korean capitalism.
lol
Yeah, but at least I prefer to live in South Korea rather than North Korea, even with all the problems South Korea has.
Fair point

South korea needs north korea to unify and save their race.
Smh you included Taiwan as the same colour as China in your map
That's right, taiwan is part of great China
1:47, and the one you didn't mentioned BTW, was assissinated😂.
I'd love if you could make a video on Ireland
North Korea doesn’t need to pounce; it just needs to wait until the whole pop is South Korea is 100 old people.
Insane dystopia society.
North Korea is having the same problem as South Korea why do you think the leader of North Korea cried on tv begging North Korean women to have more children ???
your map of china is quit wrong, did you notice that?
you already thinking about 2030s, so tactical
Well, I think Korean people are not giving birth so that they will face stress in affording health care for their Aging people in future with lesser working supporting the old majority. At the same time, it seems like their tech companies are lacking behind in AI adoption and it may impact GDP of their biggest companies and finally their political system seems to be in trouble now. Hopefully they iron things out quickly, all is not lost.
korean women just watch
Look at the South Korean president he seemed to love life.
South Koreans are incredibly resilient and united this is not going to happen.
Nobody can really predict the future.
Less baby but the population still growing like sardines 🤔
When you forget your roots
The problem is that cost of raising a child
Even in the west
why aren't the richer koreans having more children?
I hope that this contrey will stay in peace ya allah🤲🤲🤲🤲
그러나 자유 민주주의 대한민국은 윤석열 대통령님과 함께 잘 살아 나간다.

This video is such a huge mess with no cohesion or anything beyond the most surface-level research. Well expected from this channel.
Wow. Abe over Deng and Xi.
So much material for K.dramas. Now you know why I love watching them.

Now, some will give examples of:
- The Korean Economic Miracle,
- The Japanese Economic Miracle,
- And the Taiwan Economic Miracle.
RCA (Radio Corporation of America) set up its semiconductor factory in Taiwan in:
- 1966 (initially as a joint venture)
- 1970 (as a wholly-owned subsidiary, RCA Taiwan Ltd.)
Korea will survive. They always found a way.
