Great video. Clearly answered almost all doubts. Just one thing I wanted to know about references. We need to have references from our past working schools(India) or we need to have from schools wherever we are applying? As its my first time here so I don’t know anyone here who teaches. Also can you please tell some good websites to apply for teaching in Abu Dhabi. Please reply it will be helpful

Hey Allan, at the moment I have not heard or seen any recruitment agency specialised in teaching jobs. I think this is because the international recruitment websites like TES, LinkedIn, etc are reliable and quality assured platforms and through them, you can easily apply and the schools are being open to all the nationalities excluding few nasty ones those who have preferences on nationality. The process after you get the job is all driven by the employer and you only will have to provide the documents. One last thing - Google "Search Associates" and try to get registered on this website. The requirements to be endorsed by them are high but if you fulfill these and are willing to pay, It is absolutely worth it.

You must apply to any vacancies online and let school invite you for the interview. School wouldn’t entertain you if you walk in directly. You can mention that you can physically appear for interview since you already have your sister in UAE.

Hi Zaib, thanks. Yes the B. Ed is required but you don’t need to do anything for the license as you’ll undertake that procedure by the UAE government once you have the job.

Maa’m loved the way you and Sir make the videos! Its so full of information and helpful! One question if you may feel ok to advice! My wife is B.Com! We both are Travel Consultant by Profession. We live in Qatar (GCC)! Unfortunately she had to give up her job 4 years ago to raise our kids as you know how challenging it is to look after three kids if both parents are working! That said; in these 4 years staying at home and raising kids and looking after their studies single handedly, my wife realized and at the same time developed the passion for teaching! We will be moving to Dubai next month after spending some good 14yrs in Qatar! Cud u and sir pls advice how it can be possible for my wife to take up the teaching profession in Dubai with B.Com as her degree what course she would need to pursue to accomplish her teaching passion by virtue of which we can also stabilize our financial situation! Hello Mohammed, she should pursue a PGCE course in order to be a teacher here. It’s easily available in Dubai through various methods and she can start as a Teaching assistant before taking a full time job, however that’s not necessary if she gets something full time after the course. Tellal institute, Suraasa, University of Nottingham, TES etc are having some courses you will need to check out. All the best for your move !

Hi Vikas! Bachelors in the subject with a teaching qualification along with few years of experience in teaching senior secondary sounds fine. Masters degree in the subject is a benefit too.

If you have a regular degree or equivalent in elementary education or B.ED then that should be sufficient for you to get a job here.

Hello, recently I have a call from one consultant and they arranged only one telephone interview and they asked me to pay Rs.7000 for my medical test and certificate verification. At the same time they have informed me as, I got selected for one particular school. Is the consultant is true or.......
So the process is like - interview , selection notification - job offer letter - acceptance - visa/ approval - land in uae - medical- visa pasting/ Emirates Id. Anyone jumping any process is a fake one.

Eligibility criteria to teach in UAE is - The degree in the subject you teach + the teaching degree (B.ED, M.ED, PGCE or equivalent) + 2 years of teaching experience. Degrees must be regular.
For Primary you can just do with B.ED with a specialization or a diploma in primary teaching.

As I told you before I even have experience of working as admin assistant for 2 years for that job will they consider distance education
You need to have a regular degree for getting a visa, even if you get a job.

For bachelor's degree in English literature
Broadly for CBSE schools 3 to 6000 Aed,
For British schools - 6000 to 10000 Aed and for IB - 7000 to 14000 Aed.
