It is advisable to apply online as now schools will ask for a vaccination certificate or PCR test for you to enter the premises.

I have B.tech and B.Sc(Maths). There is this organization called "Suraasa" and they are offering a teaching course called, "PGCTL". They are saying that it is approved by KHDA , OFQUAL(UK) and they say that it is a UK(level-6) qualification and we need not do B.ed once we get the certification. Please let me know if we can count on this.

Hi Tabassum, explore all the options from Level 5, 6 and 7 teaching qualifications available from the UK institutions here or online before making a choice. A PGCE is recognized internationally for example. TES also offers an iPGCE that you can look into.

Are IB schools open to international candidates with no teaching experience but right qualifications(MBA and PGCTL)? You are saying that , in UAE ,they don't consider distance education degrees. But the course ,PGCTL by Suraasa is online only .Like from India(Kolkata), we have to opt for online PGCTL course only. from Suraasa. Will that be accepted for getting a job in Dubai?

Hi Uzma, no need to do IELTS unless your employer asks or mentioned in the JD. Teaching license is the process that school will guide you with. We have a video on it that you can watch.

One more question How to get IELTS certification? As you said it is compulsory.
You may apply but consider that there a lot of competition. For IELTS- It is not the upfront requirement but to gain the teaching license. This can also be substituted with a letter from the principal of the school if the school is rated good or above.

You can go for any teaching qualification, either suggested by Suraasa or a B.ED to proceed further.

You need to have a teaching qualification with specialization in elementary education + the two years of teaching experience to be able to teach here.

11 and 12th grades are part of secondary school and exactly what we teach and talk about in mostly all our videos.

Please clear it as if I'm a non resident of UAE then it must be online, right?

It is a very good question and It seems that Suraasa has this qualification approved by the ministry. Suraasa offers you an appointment to ask all your questions and therefore we recommend you to book it and ask them the same and share the outcome with our SNS community too.
I'm 48 and from corporate. I embrace IB system of education and at this age now, I'm keen to move into as IB teacher. Can you guide me how can I proceed? I'm BS (Phy, Math) MS in computers. My interest is in 9-12 grade science. Not to mention I do not have IB experience.
