  • Counselors are being taught not to be objective and neutral with their clients, but rather to view the emotionally vulnerable people who come to see them as opportunities to imprint and spread "Social Justice" ideology. In this video I provide shocking examples of the current state of counselor training at an American university.

Thank you for speaking up. I’m grateful as a woman of color that none of the white therapists I ever saw forced me to obsess about the least interesting thing about me: my race. If a client wants to discuss that, wonderful. But to assume “BIPOC” (hate that acronym) are all just walking wounded race cripples is, well, pretty racist. I’m dealing w this as a nurse at a nonprofit and my kids’ super woke school (esp w gender “affirmation.”) We have to stop this illiberal takeover. It’s so dangerous.

@@chuckschillingvideos Actually further back than that- but that's only "planned for". The actual attempts ended in failure, as our Constitutional Republic held strong.
This is why they're working diligently on this new plan, having learned from the past, by ENDING our Constitution- what they'll call, "updating", in one fashion or another, but literally destroying all aspects that could hinder their power- destroying the family unit, and removing GOD, from every public place they can.
So much more to it, but you're quite correct.
What I should have made clearer? I was speaking since my own involvement in it all, when I was basically "recruited", (for lack of a better term), by these same people, to be a part of this newly planned out destruction of our country- what we're seeing today? @@theradicalcenter I am a recently retired counsellor, having worked in primary and secondary schools, prisons, hospitals, and community health facilities, and in most specialist fields and with most demographics. The clinical psych and counselling industry is infested with leftist/feminist/woke/pc manipulators hell bent on dividing and "equalizing" society, wrecking marriages, bringing down the white male "patriarchy", making clients weak, dependent, and outraged while calling that empowerment, encouraging "safe" drug use (because drug use inhibits the development of an internal locus of control and psychosocial maturity, encourages being emotionally focused, and thus makes more lefties), conducting fake surveys and studies, and falsely fattening statistics to justify more funding for more "social change programs" and more employment security in the welfare industry -- they operate according to the community existing to support the welfare industry rather than the welfare industry existing to support the community -- they consider white heterosexual men as the problem in the home, the society, and the world, they harbor a deep hatred of western culture, capitalism, conservatism, and of Christianity, encourage women to leave husbands, students to protest, people of colour to be resentful of white men, and they do it all subtly and while portraying themselves as society's most "caring" and "compassionate" people. Working in this field taught me how manipulative the worst of clinical psychologists and counsellors are, how they are deceivers and deceived, and how they manipulate students and clients in crisis to make them agents of leftism. It taught me how the worst hide among the best, and that the opposite to good is not apparent evil but apparent good. I am relieved to be free of such a morally corrupt industry.

My coworker’s daughter went to a councillor and she was quite vulnerable at the time. The councillor seems to first question her to see where she stood on a range of woke topics, then she asked if she knew people who were against these topics. After finding out who around her who were against these woke topic, she said that these people were the reason for the problems that she was having. The good thing is that she found a purpose and went after this councillor for trying to brainwash her into this nonsense and the administration that was pushing this nonsense. She’s better no thanks to the woke councillor, other than the drive that she was given to get these people away from the vulnerable. They are literally preying on the weak. They all need to be exposed and removed from these positions. It’s great to see other people coming out and exposing these woke radical hustlers. They need to be gone.

When I was a young black person getting psychotherapy, it would have been incredibly stressful to have a white therapist ask me a question like 'how does it feel talking to a white therapist like me?' And if she then kept directing the conversation to race while I talked about other things, I'd actually think she thought of me solely as a black person and not as a person. This would have undermined my feeling of being seen or understood by her, since I see myself as a person who has many characteristics, including being black.
Additionally, being put in affinity groups by race has always been toxic when I encountered it. Which isn't to say that I've never joined a BIPOC affinity group on my own. If one is available in any group I'm in, I sometimes will avail myself of it. But to be put in it by default is terrible. I remember the first time that happened to me. I was visiting colleges with other high school juniors and chatting with new friends I was making. They all happened to be white. Then I got pulled out of the part of the room they were in and sent off to another part of the room where the black student visitors were being organized into housing with hosting current students. Then we were housed separately and all activities we participated in the entire weekend were separate. I never again saw the students I chose to hang out with by feeling a connection with them according to interests (track team). Talk about racial prejudice causing people to be discriminated against, ie racism.

These are great examples of how divisive the racial rhetoric of the "social justice" movement is. It forces us all to focus more intently on race than we would otherwise- to our detriment, individually and socially. Thank you for speaking out. My experience working for Kasier (Oregon) was very similar to this. The director of diversity is a trans male, previously worked as a mental health clinician before transitioning. During a training he asked clinicians to share their history of trauma (not appropriate) and one clinician became emotionally overwhelmed sharing her experience growing up in foster care. Rather than being supportive/sensitive to the clinicians experience (not to mention some reflection on the innapropriateness of such a 'training') he and another BIPOC attendee (and subordinate) mocked the clinician and her "river of white tears". It seems no matter how fortunate one is in life (close supportive family, financial stability, strong education) being of LGBTQ or BIPOC alone is the worst suffering one can experience.

I have no words. Without sounding dramatic I’m truly in tears. I have been licensed since 2005. The one neutral objective and client centered space that this world holds for the multitude of human diversity, is in a clinician‘s office. For the last six years I have worked with extreme leftists, and those on the extreme right end. I approached each client and provided them the space they needed to address their issue. I did not try to influence nor sway their needs. Every individual is treated with the same amount of respect and I recognize their truth as their own and me as an objective party assisting them in meeting their defined needs and goals, inserting tips tools and training when needed to help move them towards their goal and belief. I have never heard of these tools you are talking about but I absolutely believe you, I am here to offer support and advocacy. You are so very brave and truly thank God for people like yourself. This university should be charged with crimes against humanity. Taking the most vulnerable individuals and using your power as a therapist to alter and guide their personal belief system. You are absolutely right in all of your assessments.
They are taking people at their weakest, most vulnerable moments in their lives, and using that against them, because that's when they are most easily manipulated. Therapists used to understand that, and most knew how delicate they had to be - ask questions and let clients find the answers, instead of forcing their opinions on them.
I'm sure it's even worse in the (formerly) most regulated field of therapy - hypnotherapy.
If this isn't stopped now, this will absolutely be the end of America.

Well said! I have been a clinical social worker for over almost 25 years. When I was taught about social justice in graduate school in the 1990's, it never involved forcing an agenda about race or marginalization during an initial session with a minority client. Rather, the focus was on being mindful of the existence of oppression amongst certain groups when providing treatment. The emphasis was "starting where the client is" (presenting problem) and viewing the client from an ecological/person-in-environment perspective. If a client did not verbalize an issue with race, it was not a theme of discussion. I worked at the DC VA Medical Center for 14 years where the majority of the veterans I served in the mental health service line were African-American men. I forged meaningful, therapeutic relationships with them regardless of being a White cisgender woman. When veterans wanted to discuss their experiences with racism and discrimination, we had those discussions in both groups and individual sessions. I would never dream of forcing such discussions, which could easily fracture a therapeutic relationship. Being objective, providing empathy, active/reflective listening, and exploring people's thoughts and feelings through Socratic questioning is often the best way to help others in the field of mental health. And self-awareness is key. It is obvious that you embody the latter.

Thank you for speaking up. I am a counselor educator, and I have been aware of the issues you brought up in your video for quite some time. Ironically enough, I have been teaching a graduate level multicultural course for decades. I do my best to tone down the 'woke' bits in this class, and all of the others that I teach. It just cuts out the heart of counseling. There is a reason why most counselors are expected to work on the goals that client's set for themselves. We have an obligation to work WITH them, NOT work ON them. The 'woke' perspective turns the whole profession into a political action committee. It is Lysenkoism. (Might want to read up on this. For now, it is a political approach to botany that damn near killed damn near 30 million people in Russia and China. This business of signing some kind of honor code might be an outlier, and if you decide to fight it, you may be able to base your defense on two things: First, not many other graduate counseling programs are asking their students to sign a similar document. Second, an honor code about diversity is not required for CACREP accreditation. My ideas are off-the-cuff. I'm going to take some time to think about your situation to see if there is something else you can do to make sure you get your degree. If I can come up with more, I'll be back. Just like Arnold.

They are racists and anti-intellectuals who don't care about the deliberate damage their secular cult is doing to race relations and to the mental health field. As a white male counselor who also leans left, I have also faced discrimination in job searches after I graduated from my counseling program.
What stuns me is the utter weakness of the elders in our profession in regard to speaking out against this; But then yet again, THE way to get promotions in mental health agencies/universities these days is precisely to be on DEI committees and the like, so there is a financial/narcissistic motive behind jumping onto this bandwagon as a mental health professional.

This doctrinarian approach across upper level educational programs is doing great disservice to our field. Thanks for posting this. UGGHH

I have been looking into going to Antioch and researching the program. By chance I met someone in the PsyD program there and she dissuaded me from going to Antioch for this very reason. She said she is a progressive liberal person who believes in the importance of social justice, as am I, however she said the way it is being addressed- with blame and shame- is stifling open discourse and burying the issue even deeper into the shadow of the institution. She said being in such an ideologically rigid organization is making it hell to have to be there. This is so unwise and truly a psychologically ill advised way to try to solve the problem of racism. It also underscores some missing elements in the personal work of those shaping this culture of blame and shame. I think their hearts are in the right place, but people in a constant cycle of blaming others and trying to find scapegoats need to do their own shadow work and find their way to some self compassion and self forgiveness so they stop shaping what is a beautiful calling- to be a therapist- into something without the capacity to be a safe and neutral container for the healing of all darknesses of the human heart.
Succumbing to shame and blame in either direction is not the answer. An over emphasis on identity just underscores how we are all different. There needs to be a balance with raising consciousness about the common humanity we all share.

I have had a similar experience in teaching. Watching others absorb or comply for the sake of avoiding the wrath of the leftist in leadership has been a huge, difficult process.
For some time I felt like I was inferior, just difficult and socially difficult. Professional friends were few.
Hearing how others have walked through this has been helpful.

Speaking about the spiritual perspective that all of us are souls experiencing life as a human being is a way through this. It will not make conversations easier, but there are soul-utions. These divisions are ruining and diminishing the experience of being a human. To get back to experience life with awe and wonder is a worthy goal.
