Sheri, I commented above already, but can you ask Glenn if he was walking by Powerclub in El Cangrejo at about 7:00am this morning? Sunday, June 30, 2024. I was driving by and only caught a quick glimpse, but it sure looked like him. I watched this video just a few days ago.

El Cangrejo is my favorite neighborhood. My son moved from Michigan to Panama in October 22, lived in Albrook and now he is in El Cangrejo. He loves this area and I do too. Big shout tout to my fellows DMV people... And yes... In Panama we "brown/blacks" do not have to worry about race/color like back here in the Ole USA...

I am born and raised in DC, now living in Fairfax, Va. I took early retirement due to arthritis pain. I'm really looking to move to Pamama, but was looking at the city of Panama for walkability . Now, listening to this couple, I'm getting interested in checking out this city. Thank you for the video. 😊 . DC from DC.

Yes! My favorite neighborhood! LOL Immediately I started walking El Cangrejo, catching the Carmen Subway stop, etc. my very first day in Panama. I mean the minute I got there I felt comfortable. Walking to restaurants, grocery stores, everything. Maybe it's because I'm a July baby and Cancer Crab zodiac sign LOL The only thing you have to do is watch your step on those sidewalks LOL!!! And the rent prices fit my needs better than closer to the water.

As I white, canadian male - i cannot fathom what your old lives must have been like. Even though, I grew up in a west indian part of town and was partially immersed in the culture, the stuff I did see was not as strong as what I hear it is like in the states BUT I would think that in some ways it might be worse (due to disappointment maybe) when you think you are safely beyond things, racism rears it's ugly head out of the blue. Sort of like when you believe in someone and they let you down hurts more than the outright, known crook. With that said, always worrying about your safety is next level. I had a russian friend tell me the difference between Russia before and after the wall came down as I knew of how bad the mafia stuff is and he said that despite that ayt least he knew if he kept to himself he would still get home at night whereas the Wall days, you never knew if the State would pick you up on the way home. Sounds sort of similar to your prior life. I am truly happy you have found peace and happiness in Panama. Everyone deserves to be free and safe and happy. Also,, though you did not serve in Canada's forces, thank you for your service!

    Hola from Queretaro.
English is my first language, and the others are second languages. I love languages.
I speak Spanish and other languages since age 14. Over 62 years coming to Mexico, all
50 USA states, and the world on my own dime. I am in my 82nd year.
My rent in Queretaro includes everything a maid, security, wifi, and WhatsApp.
I stocked up on food, and I use La Comer for home delivery. My rent was 14K per month and after 14 months 15K per month and the USA cost was $672 to $910, as the dollar falls.I save and give to honest no beggars. live in Queretaro next door, since 2021. This is 70% less than the USA in 2021. I am in my 82nd year and moved here at 79 in 2021. I have been coming to Mexico, mainly Acapulco for over 62 years, since age 20. I speak Spanish as a second language since age 14 among many other languages and visiting all over the world on my own dime.
    Great video.
I survived the good and bad of the USA for 79 years. I am not afraid of anything, and I support myself, and help honest no beggars. Good and evil is everywhere. I moved to Queretaro in 2021 at 79, and God warns me on about evil and dishonest monsters. This is my 82nd year with GOD as my guide.
Happy in cool Queretaro since 2021. Over 62 years traveling Mexico, mainly Acapulco, all 50 USA states and the world on my own dime from working.
