I’m indigenous and well versed in history……I don’t forget all of Christianity’s interactions with the rest of the non-Christian world. Christians claim that they have been historically persecuted but they clearly must not remember every time they met another culture.
Given the fact that the two predominant christian churches in my country have immense influence on our legislation, have had it enforced that we our schools MUST offer christian religion classes from year one... they control most of our child care facilities and hospitals to the point that a lot of women will get fired if they divorce... and guess what? Most people here don't even really believe anymore. If you've been baptised as a baby you have to pay actual taxes, not tithing!, TAXES to the church. Via the government unless you go to the municipality to officially disavow your religion. And then my country has the audacity to claim that we practise seperation of church from the state.... And churches have te audacity to call themselves persecuted... like. What?
