I know this is me nitpicking, I totally love this and the Densha de Go! games, but with railfan and mobile train simulator specifically, I hate that on the upper right corner you have the hour of the day, (which in this case is noon) but you can clearly tell this is either closer to dusk or early in the morning. I wish they could have recorded the same routes at different times of the day, but I would assume a higher density of people at the platforms means extra awkwardness when the train stops or slows down (you wouldn't want to show people basically frozen mid-walk or something like that), which is why I assumed they recorded at low traffic times.

If this game was made by using captured footage, then when another train is coming from oppasite direction and I slow down the train, other train will slow down too, won't it?
Actually the game is a video but the play speed of the video changes if you trotle or brake.. The other content on the screen like speed an distance is mapped for that track you play.

How do you get that purple acceleration level? (Like at 12:05 for example). The highest I can seem to get is the blue '+'.

digiamb Great thanks. The manual mentions something about it when you reach 45mph. As I can't read Japanese though, I have no idea how to activate it.
digiamb It's all good I figured it out. Had to set it in the options menu.
I rode on the Keihan from Marutamachi to Kyobashi every day.

What a shame it is not on PC.
There is something similar, Real Railway on PC and SenSim on Android. You can even make your own one with basic video editing

yes, that's why this is a lazy game. You're literally playing the speed of the video. I want a full 3D densha de go in today's graphic.

I guess it is oppsite. There are house then train had built. They build railway near in inhabited area for their customers.
As you guess train cause pretty lots of noises, because of that in Japan, train operation ends before midnight for normal
